I received a TEXT from Bell Tower (610)372-6379 on 1/26/26 at 4:40 pm that stated: "Good afternoon Marie. This is Cynthia, Guest Service Coordinator, at Bell Tower Salon Spa. I am reaching out to confirm your appt tomorrow (TUES) 1/27/26 for a 90 minute Hot stone massage with Paige at 9AM. I tried calling you but there is a temporary error message instead due to a cancellation Paige has later in her day to help streamline her schedule more efficiently? Kindly let me know at your earliest convenience. Thank you." I responded with a TEXT: "Yes on 1030 am tomorrow is good. Thank you." I received a TEXT back: " Thank you for your TEXTING Bell Tower Salon Spa. You have reached us outside of our business hours. We will respond to your text message during our Guest Services hours Monday through Saturday 9:00 am- 5:00 pm." (So why was this message sent at 4:40 pm then? Why was this sent so late?? Bell Tower said they will respond to my text but did not do so immediately.) I received another TEXT from Bell Tower salon Spa at a different number (855) 661-0746 on 1/26/27 9:06 am that stated: "Bell Tower Salon Spa: " Reminder your appt is Tuesday 1/27/26 at 9:00 AM. Please call or TEXT if you need to cancel or reschedule to not acquire a cancellation fee." I responded with a TEXT: "Yes." (To confirm) On Tuesday 1/27/26 I arrived at Bell Tower Salon Spa before 10 am thinking my appointment was for 1030 am. I was informed by the front desk that my schedule was moved to 12:45 pm that day and a TEXT was sent to me the SAME day as my schedule!! This is unacceptable and unprofessional to change my schedule time 3 times!! I checked my text in front of the clerk and I saw a TEXT was sent to me the same day of my appointment on 1/27/26 at 9:19am from (610) 372-6379 that stated: "Good morning Marie I apologize for the confusion but due to the late confirmation the appointment was not moved and the 1030am spot has been filled. We can move you to James at 12:45pm or Paige at 2:30 pm." This message was texted twice at the same time. 1. I did not ask for and I would not want a male for a massage therapist. That is my choice, the customer's choice! 2. I left my house by 9 am to do errands before my appointment time which was supposed to be by 1030 am. 3. When I spoke with Joanna ( Manager) to explain this, she told me that the system does not allow for the staff to see my response back to Bell Tower. I questioned her response and said, "How do I know what you are telling me is true?" Then I showed her my the texts that I received the messages and I responded back by texting. Joanna kept quiet and I knew she lied. 4. Joanna could not explain why my scheduled time was bumped 3 times when I questioned her. 5. Joanna apologized and stated, "We screwed up." 6. The blonde clerk did offer to have Paige give me a 30 minute massage, but I said that should have been a complimentary massage. The clerk said, that I would have to wait for Paige at 2:30 pm and offered a small discount. This was unacceptable and my time and trip over Bell Tower was wasted. Who authorized this change? My time was jeopardized for the convenience of the staff to "streamline" her schedule?? Is her time more important than the paying customer?? 7. I explained to Joanna that my husband has been a long time customer, buying gift cards for the last 5 years for our family and friends, but this will need to stop! 8. I am disgusted with how management handled this issue. This is poor customer service, poor time management, poor satisfactory and poor leadership. This was not handled well!! 9. I asked for a full refund on my gift card and will not return to this place. This was a first and last time for me here. The customer service here is disgraceful!!

Jamie gave me the BEST scalp massage! (Yes, it messes up your hair, but it is SO worth it when you have a facial). And the rest of the facial was equally lovely. It was very relaxing and my skin feels fantastic. James gave me the BEST foot massage, as well as a total body massage! He is strong but uses just the right amount of pressure. I have had many massages over the years and including the foot is rare. To me it is such a treat! (Kind of like a scalp massage during a facial.) The whole massage was a treat, and I came out of there feeling like a noodle. The Spa itself is very nice. The accommodations are appropriate and the staff overall was great. I live about an hour and 15 away; I picked this spa because I was meeting a friend halfway. I enjoyed myself so much that the hour plus drive won't stop me from returning.

I went to this salon because of the reviews and truly REGRET it!! I walked in with roots, brown…read morebase color and blonde ombre. I showed my stylist, who I believe is also the owner, several pictures of what I wanted which was a root touch up, and to go blonder with the ombre. She foiled my entire head, I was there for over 6 hours but after she washed my hair it was very dark. I waited to see if it would lighten when she dried it but it still looked entirely brown. While she was cutting and styling my hair she kept saying not to worry "it'll lighten up" and "it'll oxidize". She liked the way it came out and asked if she could take a picture for her salon website and social media. At the time I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt- I did like the way my hair was styled and when she showed me the picture my hair looked lighter in the photo (she used a huge round spotlight) so I thought maybe it was just me. I went out that night with my boyfriend and he was shocked that I went so dark and so was everyone else that knows me. After 2 days I washed my hair and as I was styling it myself I realized just how horrible the haircut was. I basically had one long layer and one short layer- it was not gradual at all!! I called the salon to see if she could redo the color and fix the haircut. I was going on vacation to celebrate my birthday in less than 1 week and wanted to get it fixed beforehand but she claimed to have been booked solid even though this was a little past mid January and most people get their hair done right before the holidays so they wouldn't already be coming back for a touch up or trim (even salons in NYC are slow around this time). Also I was there on a Friday and practically there the entire day and only one other client the entire time. We made an appointment for the following Friday when I got back which would have only been 2 weeks from my 1st appt. Unfortunately, since it was my 1st day back at work I couldn't get off on time and needed to reschedule. I called and they seemed to only have Fridays available but since Fridays are usually busy for me at work I said to put me down for now but I will let them know as soon as I could whether I would need to reschedule. I called them 2 or 3 days before my appt. to let them know I wasn't going to make it and if we could please do a Tuesday or Wednesday, the person who answered the phone put me on hold for a while and then came back and told me that I have rescheduled about 6 or 7 times and they have tried to work with me and that I came in with long red hair so why would I expect to be blonde right away? I was shocked at the way she spoke to me especially since this wasn't at all true!! I got extremely upset and asked to speak with the stylist who did my hair. She got on the phone with an attitude telling me it has been more than 8 weeks since I got my haircut and color so they will have to charge me- It wasn't even a full month from when I was there so I was really taken back by her audacity to flat out lie to me on the phone! I had spent over $300 at her salon- only for her to completely ruin my hair and I was not about to give her another dime. After some back and forth we made another appointment which you guessed it, was on a Friday! On Friday, February 15th (day of my appt.) my grandfather passed away and I was too devastated to go to the salon so I called and simply cancelled. At first my initial thought was, she messed it up and she should have to fix it but after my grandfather passed I just didn't have it in me to deal with her and her attitude plus I realized I don't ever want her touching my hair- the way she messed it up, I have no faith that she could somehow fix it! This woman should not be doing anyone's hair!!! Needless to say I don't go to any of the salons around here anymore and have gone back to my original stylist in NYC. I have had to spend several more hundreds of dollars to have someone else fix what she did!! The only reason I'm writing this review now is because I drove past the salon and realized I never wrote my review and I think people should know what a crappy salon but also person she is! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to this place!!!

Also, finding a salon in Reading, PA can be a seemingly daunting task. I found It's All The Rage earlier this year when I did a performance at Building 24 and Alicia did a great job on my hair! I have now been back 4 times and she always makes my hair look awesome. Another great point of this salon is how affordable it is. I have spent anywhere between $30-80 for the same style, and Alicia gets it done with ease for $35 and it always looks great. She's my go-to-girl in whenever I'm visiting Reading.

But unintentionally this weekend we came to a place where there was an Ulta's store. I decided to go in out off curiousity. I was looking for a person to help me whos speak Spanish. I saw 2 workers talking and asked them if any of them spoke Spanish. They told me that they din't. That there was a Mexican girl there who did speak Spanish. They did not accompany me to where that girl was, they only pointed to me and continued talking. I think their conversation was very interesting or maybe they are not allowed to move from their area where they sell Lancome foundation. I decided to look at some products in the store. I had doubts about a makeup base and decided to try again to find someone else to help me. This time I was lucky the girl who attended me spoke Spanish and she was very attentive. She recommended several products to me and she also offered me other services that the store offers. like for example the service of the hairdresser and the waxing of eyebrows. I had a complete tour of the entire store. I had entered the store just to look and thanks to Beatriz's kindness and good service, I bought about 6 products. I would definitely recommend this place for such friendly and charismatic hardworking women as Beatriz.
