If I could leave Zero stars , I would. My "stylist" Rachel was 10 minutes late for my appointment (the first on a Saturday.) I have a pixie cut that I wasn't sure I wanted to cut or let grow. I showed her some pictures of longer pixies. She spent a long time "stacking" the back. I've had this done before and it is not "stacked" just short. And she didn't trim up my neck. The sides around the ears seem uneven. The bangs and front were atrocious!!! Crooked as all get out with a big hole in the front. I didn't notice it when I left the salon because she dried the back of my head and left the top and front WET! And then she asked me if I wanted HAIRSPRAY!!! On wet hair???? I had to come home and sort of even out the bang area, except the hole. Ulta is just now an expensive waste of a haircut. I would never recommend. read more

Today I went to buy makeup at Ulta's store. 1 week ago I had made a big purchase online because the store is a bit far from my house. But unintentionally this weekend we came to a place where there was an Ulta's store. I decided to go in out off curiousity. I was looking for a person to help me whos speak Spanish. I saw 2 workers talking and asked them if any of them spoke Spanish. They told me that they din't. That there was a Mexican girl there who did speak Spanish. They did not accompany me to where that girl was, they only pointed to me and continued talking. I think their conversation was very interesting or maybe they are not allowed to move from their area where they sell Lancome foundation. I decided to look at some products in the store. I had doubts about a makeup base and decided to try again to find someone else to help me. This time I was lucky the girl who attended me spoke Spanish and she was very attentive. She recommended several products to me and she also offered me other services that the store offers. like for example the service of the hairdresser and the waxing of eyebrows. I had a complete tour of the entire store. I had entered the store just to look and thanks to Beatriz's kindness and good service, I bought about 6 products. I would definitely recommend this place for such friendly and charismatic hardworking women as Beatriz. read more

This place is usually a pretty good place to pick up some non-essential make-up and bath products. For example, I recently came here looking some mascara. I normally get the Clinique mascara but lost the one I had and needed a replacement while at school. The one girl was more than happy to listen to the type of brush I was looking for and show me mascara that fit my expectations. She definitely made sure I was happy with my selection before I left. When I come to this store, it is usually because there's a good sale going on. It is my go-to​ location to pick up cosmetics because I have found that a lot of drugstore things don't like my skin but there are a few things that do. So I can not only pick up my prestige branded things but also cheaper options as well. My mom and I come here all the time to get Christmas​ gifts becuase of the usual gift with purchase on perfumes. So not only will she get a gift but a bonus one as well... and the stocking stuffers are always good and/or cute as well. I also like that you can pick up skin care, hair care, ​and nail care products as well and there's a wide selection. Not a lot of stores carry near full ranges but Ulta does and that's why I love coming here. read more

Let me preface this by saying I shop at Ulta very often, both online and at this specific location, and this is the first time I have ever felt inclined to write a review. During prior visits, I have never had an employee readily available to assist me. It has never bothered me because I typically know what I'm going in to purchase. Today, it was a completely different experience. I was asked by at least 4-5 employees if I needed assistance, and I could see several other customers being assisted. I never knew I was missing this until I had someone with genuine knowledge recommending things specific to my needs. One associate, Naya, NEEDS A RAISE! She was amazing. She had such a positive energy and made recommendations that included both drug store and high end products, which tells me she was listening and not just up-selling me. She not only recommended products, but gave me a quick background about different lines and why they would work for me and my daughter. She knew her stuff and you could feel her passion for what she does! I walked in for face wash, and left with 6 additional products- ALL based on her recommendations. There were a few other things we spoke about that I definitely plan to try in the future, and 100% will go back to the store specifically to work with her. read more

I went to Ulta today to had my colored and styled by Afi. She is absolutely amazing. She has a wonderful personality to talk to and she does amazing work. I have already processed hair and she foiled blonde highlights and brown lowlights in my hair and it turned out absolutely stunning. I haven't been this happy with my hair in a long time. F*ck you Ulta. I will NEVER ever buy anything from Ulta again. I went in-store to make a purchase but my item was not available in-store, only online. I placed the order and they were very helpful. I received a confirmation email and I got an immediate charge in my checking account. A day later when my order shipped, I got charged again. I called the 800 number to see about getting the second charge refunded. When I threatened to write a bad review, the rep hung up on me. I called the store directly and the nasty store manager was just as useless (this is the Wyomissing, PA store). I tried the 800 number one more time and finally got someone foreign who was just as bad. She claimed that I was not charged twice (she apparently could see that in her system). She instructed me to pull a copy of my bank statement with the charges and send it in for consideration of a refund. Really! In this day and age, you can't see that you charged me twice! The fact that no one wants to help you and they are all around nasty, I will never purchase from Ulta again. read more

I went into the store 5/04/2019 hoping for help with my eyebrows, they are somewhat Sparse and needed a good product that would help, one sales representative asked what I was looking for I said eyebrow help, she immediately passed me off to another person she took a product of the shelf and applied it to one brow, she didn't explain anything and seemed to be in such a hurry to get rid of me I had to ask if she would do the other one so I would not look odd, I wanted more information and was hoping she would recommend this, but nothing. I USED to love this store because i'm able to try and buy high-end makeup, as well as my drugstore favorites. However, if you lost your receipt don't bother trying to return your item regaurdless of what the website clearly states. Even if you buy an expensive product that was 50 or 60 bucks, they will refund you the lowest selling price that it was ever sold for, which could be only 1 or 2 bucks! Watch out! read more

I have been a Ulta salon client for a few years. This is my second visit to this location. Sadly I might have to find a new salon in the area. My work is not flexible and I had one day that was allowed to fit in my desperately belated root touch up *bleach blonde*. My appt was confirmed for 2:45 at 3pm I asked and they said she was scheduled for 3pm *whoops*...I have patience. At 3:20 I asked again they called and *whoops* her schedule was really for 4pm. The Manager apologized and since I already invested time here I couldn't make a appointment at other salon. So here I am waiting an hour plus for a mistake that was fully on their end. Yeah, it is a giant chain, but my sister clued me in on their regular coupons: $3 off $10 and an occasional $5 off $10, and you can combine these with their frequent BOGO sales. Excellent selection of fragrance, including Philosophy, although way too many fragrance companies still test on animals, no reason for that. They offer high end hair products along with drugstore ones, and they finally have a good selection for curly hair and of non-sulfate shampoos. The staff here is always very nice. read more

Their prices are usually reasonable. The store is well organized and clean, which makes for a better shopping experience. However, their employees lack of knowledge about things, especially makeup, can be frustrating. They also aren't always the friendliest of people. If you love makeup, but hate the hassle of driving to KOP to go to the good makeup stoes then Ulta serves its purpose. They are like Sephora, but more casual and carry different brands. Besides makeup they also sell a lot of hair and beauty products. In addition to the more expensive brands they aslo have a good selection of cheaper makeup (Revlon, Maybelline...). You can also get great deals from their clearance section. I am always scoring end of the season nail polish for just $.69!! There is also a Brow Bar, and salon. I have not experienced either one. Customer service is definitely hit or miss at this location. Cashiers are always friendly, but I've noticed when walking around in the makeup section no one ever seems to ask me for help. I usually go to Ulta in my hometown to get my eyebrows done, but I really needed them done so I took a chance and went here. I really wish I had waited till thanksgiving to get them done. I specifically asked for them to not take off the sides of my brows and they did. Also I have dark hair and tick eyebrows (in a good way) and love keeping them thick and they waxed them so thin they look very out of place on my face. I am extremely upset and hate looking at them and don't know how to fix them until they grow out in a couple months. VERY upset...no one likes super skinny eyebrows. read more

"Reward" program is useless. You have to always remember your coupon. I like to buy Mens products but they chase me around for the coupons which I hate because I usually spend 50-80 dollars a shot. They do not know what they are doing at all and should never be able to touch anyone's hair. I had to cut off 9 inches from a ombre they did. Let alone my hair was in great condition before and never had any problems with weak damaged hair. Went back one last time to get highlights, do not know why in God's name, I would. This hair dresser (guy) had my hair falling out in clumps and literally looked as if he had cut my hair. (he was only brushing through) didn't even tone my hair and left me with horrifying contrast between light and dark hair. I do NOT recommend this place at all. Make this a last resort. Went in to purchase a lip color product, which they only had one left in stock in the color I was searching for. After I purchased, I went to my car and opened the stick and found that it was broken in half. I went in to return and they told me that it was the last one and to come back the following Tuesday because they were getting another shipment. So I did, and of course, there weren't any in that day's shipment - which they can't tell ahead of time. I tried calling the following week and again no more in stock. I used to go to ulta when I didn't feel like making the drive to sephora. However I will never go back. I took my mom there on her birthday to buy a new face powder and some other things for her. The woman who "helped" Us brought us to the it cosmetics. She then proceeded to take a sample it brush from the display, dip it into the sample powdered foundation and brush it onto my moms face. My mom jumped back in shock that the woman thought it was ok to use a dirty brush on her face. Absolutely disgusting. The woman had no idea why it wouldn't be ok to do that and just walked away. The manager also seemed to have no idea why spreading germs was a bad idea. As an avid make up shopper I've shopped from rodeo drive to hole in the wall shops in Asia and never have I ever had someone think it was ok to put dirty products on you. I LOVE Ulta Salon in Wyomissing! I have always had such a difficult time finding a stylist who understood my hair and how to work with it (it's quite challenging). I have THICK, curly hair and Ashlie always does an INCREDIBLE job! I leave there with silky straight, smooth hair and I always get loads of compliments from people asking where I had my hair done! Never again, this place damage my brows. I left my brows grow for three months because I wanted to have the experience of getting my brows done here. I had so much hair that the bitch who did my brows could get any shape done. First of all, she didnt follow the steps to do a great brow service.She was shaking and nervous, she took so much time, at the same time I was getting nervous too, when she handled me the mirror they were all over the place. I said it was fine so I can finally walk out after a hour. When I get to the register they wanted to over charge me because she plucked and wax without letting know before that they were two charge services so i can decide either to get it done or not. I refused so they finally charged me 25 dollars for fucked up brows. Never in my life had to pay such a large amount of money for brows, other than expensive they were messed up. At the end, they left me know that she was new, and it was her second day working there. Regret it forever I ended up shaving them off so I can start all over again, and I can do them myself for free and great shape looking! read more
