I'm thrilled to have found this nail salon! I recently moved to the area so I was looking for a new nail place. They are amazing! I called last minute for a Sat appointment and they accommodated my needs. When I went it was busy but they were efficiently keeping up with the appointments and the walk ins. This is important to me because I'm usually on a schedule. They're extremely thorough and their work is high quality. I typically get gel but went with a regular polish manicure one time and it lasted for a full week without chipping! The pedicures are relaxing and very well done. Even when they're busy they don't skip steps or rush through it. I'm always greeted politely right away. Their prices are super affordable. And they also offer complimentary beverages ranging from water to a mimosas! Talk about great service! I can't recommend them enough. If you want a great nail salon go here!! read more

I went in this past weekend to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure, and unfortunately, the experience left me extremely disappointed and, ultimately, in tears. I started with a pedicure. I did not choose the basic pedicure, yet the service felt very rushed and incomplete. The sides of my toes were not cleaned properly, including the areas where sock lint had collected. I had also decided that I wanted the same brown color on my hands and feet, along with a design on both. When it was time for my manicure, I realized the same person who had done my pedicure would be doing my nails. I decided against tips and explained that I wanted my usual builder gel and polish. There was a significant language barrier, and I had difficulty understanding much of what she was saying. I was ultimately talked into a jelly gel color instead of the brown color I had originally wanted to match my toes. When I left, I was extremely unhappy with the finished nails. The design and overall application were not what I had expected, especially considering that I was paying for this as a special treat for myself. I have attached a picture of the initial final product. A friend of mine who knows the owner, Cindy, contacted her and explained how unhappy I was. Cindy told me to come back and said they would fix my nails. I returned around 3:45 PM on Monday, and Cindy directed me to sit at station #4. Unfortunately, the experience when I returned was even more upsetting. The technician- Mai Pham immediately became argumentative with me about the color. She told me I had to keep the jelly color and that if I wanted the same brown color that was on my toes, I would have to pay an additional $15 for a color change. I tried to explain that the jelly color was not what I had originally wanted. I had initially requested the same brown color that was already on my toes. She eventually agreed to change the color but told me there would be no design. During the interaction, she also told me that she didn't do my nails originally, that I should have said something while I was there Saturday, and that she "doesn't like cleaning up after someone else." She then explained that they work on commission and that someone had to pay her and that it would be her boss. At that point, I was so uncomfortable that I began silently crying. I told her that the way she was speaking to me was making me feel like an idiot. She continued speaking in her language to the other employees while I was sitting there, which made me feel even more uncomfortable and isolated. I want to be clear: I understand that mistakes happen. I also understand that employees work on commission and that correcting another technician's work may be frustrating. But none of that should result in a customer being made to feel embarrassed, belittled, or unwelcome--especially when the owner herself had invited me back to have the service corrected. Despite everything, I still tipped the technician through Venmo because I always tip for service. When I was getting ready to leave, she put the cash equivalent of my tip on the table and told me she didn't want my money. I left the money on the table and walked out. I left in tears over something that was supposed to be a simple treat for myself. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been coming here regularly for pedicures. This was not my first visit, and I had previously considered this a place I could return to and enjoy. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled has completely changed my impression of the business. I am not writing this review because I expect perfection. I am writing it because the quality of the service was disappointing, and more importantly, the way I was treated when I returned to address my concerns was extremely upsetting. Customers should be able to voice a concern and have it addressed respectfully without being made to feel like a problem. Unfortunately, this experience left a terrible impression on me, and I will not be returning. read more

Nail Savvy - Nail Salons Near Me - Ephrata, Pennsylvania

I decided to get a mani/pedi here since a few people I know frequent this establishment and highly recommended them. My experience was awful. Don't come here. Unless you're a "frequent flyer" and getting the most expensive nail art acrylic/dips/gel....you will be put with the novice nail tech. Customers are prompted to wash their hands as soon as they step into the door (not a problem). The girl that greeted me directed me to the book with the nail color options. I just wanted a regular mani/ pedi; no gel or acrylic because I didn't want to ruin my natural nails. I was seated in a pedi chair and a different, younger girl took the stool to do my nails. After being seated, I should've known that the pedicure was going to be bad when the "host" had to inform the girl how to use the timer to keep track of how long she would be doing the work. My nails weren't really long but I wouldn't have mind if they were slightly shorter. After pushing the cuticles back and trimming, she attempted to cut my nails with the cuticle trimmer. I honestly think I was the first person this girl has ever given a pedicure to. I'm already half way into the pedicure, and the other workers are directing her where to get the hot towels, what lotion she needs to use, how to scoop out the sugar scrub, etc Fast forward to the polish; she proceeds to use the foam toe pads and applying the base coat BEFORE placing my flip flops back on. I stopped her when she got the colored polish and asked if she could place my flip flops on. She stopped, grabbed my flip flops but needed to get a towel to dry off my shoes because she got them wet from the pedicure hose getting them wet. ( I was unaware that my shoes were even wet until that point). After my toes were painted, I was directed to the manicure station. I informed her I'm just getting a pedicure and would like to pay. The main lady came and apologized and stated that she would have someone else do my nails. No! I expected my nails to be done correctly the first time by a person who knows how to do nails. Definitely hard to find a consistently good nail salon. read more

Worst pedicure I have ever had! Requested a deluxe pedicure (45 min) was in and out of the chair in 25 min. A lite lotion rub is what they call a massage and had to request him to take ALL of my old nail polish off before applying the new polish. My experience was very lacking and will not be returning. read more

Nail Savvy is a great salon-very clean (they even request that customers wash their hands when entering the salon-). The salon is always very nicely decorated for the season. They offer you candy and drinks free of charge-Cindy, who did my pedicure, is awesome! She is very experienced, and did a perfect job on my toes.(Thank you, Cindy!) I would highly recommend Nail Savvy! read more

Got my nails done Wednesday, have been back twice since, as my nails look rough. The same day, there was two bubbles created under the matte top coat as the regular polish wasn't dry underneath. The salon workers blame the mistakes on me, very rough with files and bending and gripping extremely hard when holding finger. Not pleased and will not go back again read more

I've gone here a bunch in the past and it was great but today I went and Tony did my nails and it turned out terrible. I should have known it would be bad when he took a total of 30 minutes start to finish to do a full set. Zero care was given whatsoever. I wish I had noticed right away and had him fix it or told them I wasn't going to pay $50 for a crap job. Now I guess I'm going to go back and hopefully have them fix it for free. Moral of the story, DO NOT HAVE TONY DO YOUR NAILS. read more

Nail Savvy - Botched acrylic nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Ephrata, Pennsylvania

This place sucks! I've frequented this business in the past, and it's a no brainer. Never Again. I'm getting married in two days so I want nice long square nails. Tony puts the nails on and cuts them before he asks if length is ok. He keeps yelling at me that I have to relax. He yells at me I can't help him... worst experience ever. Why would I help the person I'm paying to do my nails? read more

My first time going and last time going. I had a guy do my nails. He was so rough with filing and shaping. He didn't talk to me the whole time and didn't ask if anything hurt when it did. I showed him exactly what color I wanted. (sage green) to match my homecoming dress and he put teal/mint on my fingers. He did not ask if it looked okay, he just kept going. He was very rude and seemed to be in a rush. The design is very uneven on my right hand. A day after getting my nails done, my hair was already getting caught under the acrylic meaning he did not do it right. Each nail has polish where it doesnt belong. I dislike this place very much and I should not have paid them $60 for this poor job. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

Nail Savvy - design is bad and nails not even - Nail Salons Near Me - Ephrata, Pennsylvania

See all

I chose this place due to it having the highest star rating and even seeing the amazing work they have been posting on Facebook. BUT I was there on December 19th, my first time there, and I did leave a bit disappointed. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone is super friendly. What did it for me was my nail tech rushed the whole time. My nails are alright but the fake nail they glue on has separated from every single finger. They're also uneven. I can't say I would recommend this place unless you get a good nail technician. The free drinks and candy is a plus. read more

Nail Savvy - My nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Ephrata, Pennsylvania

I will start by saying I base my love of the pedicure mostly on the massage. I asked for the deluxe which was the second to top tier pedi. I did have a toenail that needed fixed, which could've added to the time crunch, but all in all everything was super rushed, and they weren't busy. The massage was nonexistent, big thumbs down for me! To top it off my bill was $71. I work in a salon, and our nail tech left the industry. She was the absolute best and would've charged $45 for a service almost like this. This did have a hot stone massage but was only a few min, if that, and the polish job was subpar. Suffice it to say, I won't be back. read more

I have gone here multiple times since I have lived in Ephrata and I have never been disappointed!! Pedicures are amazing, they do a great job at eye brow waxed, gel manicures are good and last awhile, their acrylics have lasted me longer then they have at previous places I have gone, and when I came here with my bridal party for my wedding they decorated the whole nail salon and had drinks and snack for us to munch on while we got our nails done all for free! All the nail technicians are very nice especially Tony he goes above and beyond to make sure every customer is noticed and offered a drink or a chocolate! read more

Very unorganized. Made an appointment and then waited 40 minutes to get a pedicure. To top it off the pedicure was maybe 10 minutes long. Won't be back! read more

Nail Savvy - My fill-in with gel polish. I opted for clear since it's more natural looking. - Nail Salons Near Me - Ephrata, Pennsylvania

Rip off. They give you gel when you do not ask for it. They act like they can't speak English or understand you. I heard another customer yelling really loud that she's pissed every time she comes in there they charge her more than the service she asks for. Don't give these people your business. They're greedy. read more

This is my favorite nail salon. Not only are the staff very friendly, they do a great job. After many bad experiences at other salons, I will only go to Nail Savvy. Have been going here since we moved to the area. We are from a major metro area-& a lot of the Asian salons were somewhat dirty, & the regular salons were overpriced & didn't do such a great job. Nail savvy has had some improvements over the past several months, from their decorating to their services. It is very relaxing, with complimentary drinks such as peach mimosas, wine, bottled water etc, as well as chocolates. I have been thrilled with every service, & will continue to return. read more

i needed to get my nails refilled and painted again one of my nails fell off from the other salon i went to to get them done. i go here every once in a while but i won't ever becoming back. there was a new lady idk i've never seen her she was so rough with my nails. it took her literally 10 mins in total to refill and paint my nails n put a new nail on. my new nail that she put on was too big for my nail it also wasn't shaped like my other nails and when you looked at my nail from the side you could see it sticking up and the refill paint was so lumpy. 6 days later my nail that they just replaced fell off. i asked her to put another layer of red polish on my acrylics because it was see through n she refused to do i demanded her to. they asked me for a tip and i told the guy that they don't deserve one considering i was so unhappy. first of all how are you going to ask your costumers for a tip. TIP IS NOT REQUIRED. never ever going here again read more

I have been to other nail salons in the area and keep coming back to Nail Saavy. They have a lot of stations and technicians, so you can almost always get in when you want (ask for Cindy for scheduling). The techs are very kind and gentle, and for the same price as elsewhere they offer drinks & snacks with your treatment. They just put in new massage chairs and there are 8 of them, so bring your friends! Well-run business, you won't be disappointed. read more

I have gone past this nail salon many MANY times and never given it a second thought. Then one day I decided to look in and check it out. They have multiple levels of mani and pedis. I got the quickest mani as I just wanted my cuticles done and polish. I was warmly greeted and seated right away. Every employee was very nice. I was offered a mimosa which was really tasty. The best part of this experience was my cuticles were done properly and weren't hack all to hell. The hot steamed towel was heaven after a great hand massage. The only thing that I found slightly disappointing was the nail art I got. But I will totally be coming back for the pedicure next time! read more

Great experience. My manicure by Cindy was great. She made my tired nurse's hand look beautiful. Looking forward to getting a pedicure from her and I don't let anyone do that. I've been visiting nail savvy for about three years. I've watched them go from a bare bones nail facility to a full scale beautiful salon with many options and great service. I've been very loyal to this salon but today was pampered by someone who appeared new and I didn't recognize. He was very rough, cut my left big toe to where there was a bleed. The towel for pedi was cold and he also wouldn't honor a 2 dollar coupon that I received earlier this year. He told me that it was 4 years old and wouldn't honor it even though there was no expiration. I felt like the service that I have been enjoying for the last 3 years was nothing compared to today. I'm disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. If the risk of losing a loyal customer is worth 2 dollars then I am not going back. The guy who performed my pedi today left me with nails half painted and not smooth at all. Very disappointed. read more

Great location in downtown Ephrata. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. My nail technician did a great job. If you can go during the morning or early afternoon - they are not crowded.
