Took my 2011 Es350 in for a battery light on. I suspected it was either the battery (2 year Lexus battery) or alternator. They put a drain on both, which is fine, but didn't put a hard pull on the alternator so it check out fine. Cost= $200 Light came on again. Took it to a local shop I trust, alternator failed on a hard pull. Lexus just wasn't thorough enough. Disappointing read more

Owned my 2008 is350 for 15 years. The subwoofer was having issues so I took the car in to replace it 10/2023. Cost $1,500 to replace 1 speaker. 6/2025 I took the car in because the subwoofer sounded worse than the first time. They charged me over $100 to tell me there's nothing subwoofer had an internal malfunction and there's nothing they can do because it's outside the 12 month warrantee. So very disappointed in the quality and service of Lexus. Poor quality, poor service. read more

The finance people mislead customers into buying warranties that are completely not needed. *** The worst situation was, I was signing all 52 pages for owning a different car and I signed a form stating ... my previous license plate would be transferred to the new/used car for me!! 6 months later, the police pulled me over and asked if I realized my care was registered as my previous car? I said, I had no idea, the dealership stated it would be taken care of..... he said we (the police) are well aware of their nefarious deals! So I went to transfer the tags....the State Title Bureau stated, there are numerous issues with that dealership, telling misinformation and getting new owners into trouble. BUYER BEWARE!! read more

I have owned an ES350 for over almost 9 years and up until by last visit have always received excellent service from Lexus of Dayton. However, my last visit left much to be desired. I had a 9AM appointment for an oil change for Monday November 25. When I arrived, there were approximately 7 cars waiting in line at the service entrance. A lady came up to me and told me to leave the car running with the key fob inside the car. I then went into the waiting room. It was almost 10 o'clock before the service advisor came out to get me and do the paperwork. He suggested a tire rotation in addition to the oil change which I agreed to. The oil change and tire rotation were finished about 11 o'clock when they brought the car out to the front of the building. I assumed the car was ready except for doing the paperwork. While doing the paperwork the service advisor informed me that the cabin filter needed to be replaced and because of the age of the tires Lexus suggested replacing them. I asked how long that was going to take and he said several hours. I told him I could not wait that long because I had to be home for another appointment since it is a one-hour drive home. I declined the use of a rental because it would have involved a one hour drive home and then another one-hour drive to take back the rental and pick up my car and then another one-hour drive home (a total of 4 hours on the road). Since the service agent said they could replace the cabin filter quickly I agreed to that. It took another half hour for them to take the car back to the service bay and return the car. What upset me the most was why the service department did not notify the service advisor about the cabin filter and replacement of the tires while the car was in the service bay? Why go ahead and do a tire rotation and then tell me the tires needed to be replaced. So, I paid $50 for a tire rotation for nothing read more

Earlier this year I began shopping for a new Lexus RX350. Noting that the 2024 Lexus RXs only come with four cylinder engines I checked out the Used Car lot. I found a 2021 Lexus RX that I ended up purchasing. We negotiated a couple of post sales follow-ups: stain removal & all-weather mats. Our sales person left Lexus before making good on the items, but the Sales Manager Jeff stepped in and made everything right. read more

Very pleasant experience with the sales department at Lexus of Dayton. Our salesman Alex J. and sales manager did a good job and were able to get us into what we were looking for in a luxury car. However, the business and finance Office did some sloppy work. They are undermanned. The finance manager had worked 14 days in a row, which is no excuse. He was unable to do the plate transfer which charged me an additional fee and he calculated the wrong county for taxes. BEWARE THE LABOR RATES BEFORE GETTING SERVICE AT LEXUS OF DAYTON: I was charged $1,098.65 for 2.5 hours of labor. This works out to $439.46 per hour for labor. On top of this I was charged $47.68 for the disposal of oil from the oil change - plus the normal charge for an oil change. I spoke to Anthony the service manager and he told me that these are normal charges that all dealers charge. I disagree with you Anthony, these charges are extremely excessive. read more

Normally I dread going to dealerships as they have a terrible, yet usually accurate, stigma attached. But I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Lexus of Dayton. I scheduled an appointment online for routine maintenance. My service advisor, Mike, called right away to confirm the online reservation. He also explain exactly what would be done to my vehicle and even offered to have me drop my car off the night before and take a loaner vehicle for the day. I felt completely at ease during the entire process. Mike treated me with respect, something that usually doesn't happen to me at dealerships as I've often been viewed as an unintelligent young female driver. Regrettably, a change in ownership has resulted in a significant deterioration in almost every part of this dealership with exception of the service department. It seems like new ownership was looking to cut cost and got rid of many of the employees who helped make this dealership be a cut above most local car dealers. In a business that is/was built on personal service, I was sad to not be able to do business with this local dealership. I made an appt here to get an oil change. When I got here the guy was so rude. He walked away from me and told me he didn't know how long my car would be here when I specifically made an appt. The person checking me out took all the walks in before me then proceeded to tell me how all these people keep walking in without appts and he's helping them before me. I took my car there for 3 1/2 years to be serviced and didn't realize it but was charged for some of The service appointments. I have called three different people and left messages and no one will respond. I was over charged by over $1000 and I can get no one to respond to me. Following is a very mixed review about my experience leasing a new vehicle from Lexus of Dayton. We have a home in a neighboring state so we decided to lease the auto in Dayton and license it in the other state. Our initial contact with Internet Sales was very professional and enjoyable. He set us up with Janet (Sales Consultant). The time with Janet was what we would expect from Lexus - professional and knowledgeable. Our experience with Amelia (Product delivery) was equally professional. What happened between our meetings with Janet and Amelia, however, is where the dealer failed, and failed miserably. That is when we were assigned to meet with the 'finance' person. During our meeting with Janet, she shared that she was not familiar with out-of-state taxes, and we negotiated an initial pre-tax lease. She said that Finance would work out the tax details. That was fine with us. Not once during the 30 minute conversation with Finance did she mention our monthly payment, including tax. We went over details of original cost, discounts, etc., all related to the total cost, but nothing was ever said about how this would translate to a monthly cost. She even became somewhat obsessed about a $16 tax. Not per month. But total. Three times she said she wasn't sure if $16 was correct. We were caught up in those details and did not ask the question of the 'monthly bottom line', but wouldn't you think that when the finance person is covering a monthly lease contract with the client, she would mention the monthly payment? Finance certainly didn't think so. (And interestingly, the very first piece of paper she asked us to sign was a form saying she had gone over everything. I recall thinking it was odd to sign this as we had not covered 90% of the information on the form, but that is my fault.) We were well aware that the initial lease number did NOT include tax, but the final monthly price was 50% higher than what we negotiated. While I understand that the majority of the increase is tax related, I should have been informed on the spot of the cost. That way I would not have had such a shock, and had such a bad taste in my mouth, that evening while looking over the paperwork -- I thought the Dealer had made an enormous mistake. The extra monthly amount was made up of two parts. First, there was an error on the part of the General Manager - which accounts for about a third of the extra monthly lease payment. He admitted that instead of using the down payment I offered, he used $2,400 less. As there were other incentives, I did not catch this. Of course, if Finance had simply reviewed the monthly payment with us (even one time) it would have been caught and corrected on the spot. The GM offered to send me about 40% of his error. The second item were the taxes. Now I realize the dealer does not control the taxes. But they should be able to calculate them. And again, if the finance manager had shared the monthly amount, this all would have been worked out at the dealership. GM told me that they had contacted a dealer near my home to make sure the taxes were correct and that is what was used in our lease. . After driving the vehicle back home, I went to properly license it. At the DMV they informed me that Lexus of Dayton charged me 9.5% tax when in actuality, my state charges Use Tax of only 7.25%. This is an overpayment of taxes of nearly $900 in taxes. Again I had to call GM and complain and Lexus of Dayton then sent me a check for the full tax payment and then I simply paid the correct amount to my state. The DMV is often the butt of jokes but in this case they surely understood taxes better than the dealership. I question if Dayton really did consult a local dealer. If they did, how was the tax rate incorrect? As they say, "There are few guarantees in life" but I can guarantee you this.... we will NEVER, EVER again set foot in the Lexus of Dayton showroom. Bought my IS back in 2014, which was surprisingly a good experience...at a car dealership?! Have brought it back over the years for routine maintenance and a windshield replacement due to a rock on the freeway. Always top notch service from these guys! Yesterday, I had a small issue with the trunk not opening or closing fully. They were super accommodating at 4:30 in the afternoon, nonetheless, and had me out of there within minutes at no charge. Terrible service. Expressed interest on a pre-owned and when I finally spoke a pre-owned sales person, Brad, he was supposed to send me the CPO and some pictures. HE NEVER EVEN gotten back to me or cared enough to have someone else get back to me. Then his assistant Nicole, appeared confused and not on the same page as the sales person. Purchased my first Lexus here at Lexus of Dayton back in September 2018, I am very grateful that I had Emilio Perez as my sales consultant. Emilio was able to communicate and understand my needs and recommended the right model to me. His knowledge of the product was phenomenal. I was a picky customer who just went from BMW to Lexus and I asked a lot of questions. He was able to answer all of them with patience. He was also very enthusiastic to respond to the after-sales questions/requests. I never need to worry about the regular maintenance of my car anymore since I am well taken care of every time my car needs the service. I purchased a new Lexus and recently contacted the service dept for my 5,000 mile checkup and was told it would be 2 weeks. She asked if I needed a loaner and I said that I would and then 2 days before the appointment I called and confirmed I was all set up. Get to the dealer and was told they didn't have any loaners available (what???) I found later that the new management had gotten rid of 20 of the loaners so I guess they feel sitting around the dealership for an hour and a half would be lots of fun!!?? (I did "test" drive another vehicle during the time my vehicle was serviced so I ended up with a "loaner", maybe this is what they had in mind?!) 2 salesmen, 26 and 24 yrs at the dealership have quit along with the finance guy and more are leaving because of the policy changes. The initial sales process of buying the vehicle was fine but things have obviously changed dramatically so I will not be back and will shop for future Lexus vehicles elsewhere. read more

Barry and Paul at the Lexus pre-owned center are awesome! We looked for about a month for the right SUV for my wife. We've owned BMW, Audi, Infiniti and decided on a Lexus RX350 F Sport this time. There were 3 within budget with the options we wanted. The car is in amazing condition (L Certified are the best by the way) and performs better than either of us expected. What really stands out was how the team at the pre-owned center handled the transaction. They don't pressure or pass judgement and are down to earth and easy to deal with. Purchased our RX-350 in July of 2017 and customer service has been 5 star until today. I like to change my oil every 5,000 miles and have always taken advantage of the pickup / loaner car service. Told today its no longer offered for just an oil change. Didn't need the scheduler arguing with me that the service was never offered for just an oil change. read more

I had one of the best experiences a person could ever have in finding a vehicle. I found a vehicle I was interested in, called the dealership and talked to Salesman Nick Monreal. After getting all the info, my husband and I came in to take a test drive of a 2011 Mazda CX-7. After test driving the vehicle I was very happy and decided then and there this was the vehicle I wanted. We worked up a deal to trade in my old vehicle and the finance guy Mathius was able to find a really good finance company to work with and was able to have lower payments. Even while I was waiting to get paperwork done and be on my way all the salesmen and women at the Lexus Of Dayton Pre Owned company were very welcoming for myself and son who was with me too. Words cannot describe how great of an experience I had here! This is the best car dealership I have ever been to! My car needed more coolant for the winter so I stopped here to get some. When I walked in I had to find the parts department so I looked around for a bit. I walked up to a desk and asked the woman there where the parts department was. She was extremely polite and told me where it was. After she showed me where to go a man guided me over to the parts department. I was extremely pleased because I was helped moments right after I walked into the dealership. When I got to the parts department the man at the desk asked me what I needed and then I told him. He went to the back and grabbed the coolant that I needed. He placed it on the counter and prompted me to walk back to the other desk where I was just at. I gave the woman the money for the coolant and then I left the dealership. When I left I was extremely pleased again because I was able to walk in and out of the dealership and get the coolant I needed in just 10 minutes. I highly recommend visiting this dealership. The staff is extremely helpful and polite. 5/5 Stars. I will definitely be coming back here for coolant again! read more

Be careful with internet sales dept. Slow, incomplete communication. Phone calls not answered, not returned. They claim to have a first-come-first-serve policy. However,the car I wanted and had communicated with them about was sold despite fact that I was first in. I've owned Lexus since 1995. I've purchased a few cars online and traveled across states to buy Lexus, and this experience was the worst, most disappointing and surprising especially being a Lexus dealer. read more
