Just a month in and I need to add more details about how amazing LexPeds are, namely Sarah. Each visit and attending her lactation group sessions, she helps you become a more confident mother. She offers all the excellent advice, tips, and tricks. This is just a great free service because she tracks your baby's growth right within the doctor's office. There's no need for any third party. My heart breaks for the day that I go back to work and won't be able to attend these sessions any longer. She's my saving grace. I hope she will be yours, too. read more

I came in with 2 unresolved medical issues, left with 3. They will gladly tell you to "consult a pharmacy" if you don't know what's going on with you. Seems like all they know how to do is administer shots and deal with schools and parents, not actually do any medical treatment. I asked for referrals, they said "yeah sure" and I waited for an hour for nothing to come. The doctors are good people, but overworked due to the incompetence of the nurses and front desk people. Everyone's just chatting around, no actual work being done except by the doctors, who have to run from one room to the next. read more

Shady charge. Mediocre service. My son had a routine physical there with a nurse practitioner. It's no different from any physicals he had in previous years and the process lasted no more than 30 minutes. We received two bills afterwards for the visit. In additional to the charge for a routine physical, They also charged a sick visit of $185 because that during the "what concerns you have" discussion I asked to send an prescription of hydrocortisone for his chronical eczema condition to the pharmacy. Time to find a new doctor for my son. read more

I have had nothing but exceptional care from Lexington Pediatrics for my 7 year old daughter. I had been to a few other practices in the area until I found them and they are by far the best. My daughter has been seen at Lexington Pediatrics for the last 5 years by Dr. Wornham. We have been cared for on separate occasions by several of the other physicians and nurse practitioners in the practice including, Dr. Mailloux, Dr. Arthur, Jane Berman and Sarah Robbins. All of the caregivers have been relentless in helping us figure out what was wrong with my daughter even when I was ready to give up. They have always been available to guide me when I was uncertain of whether or not a hospital visit or test made sense and they were cautious not to use prescription medications unless it was absolutely necessary which I appreciated. Telehealth visits have been easy to use and when we've gone in during COVID, we've felt safe and well cared for. Just to prove how much of an impression the quality of care has made on my daughter, attached is a photo and note she wrote her doctor. read more

Lexington Pediatrics - Note to a practice that is fiercely caring for its patients - Pediatricians Near Me - Lexington, Massachusetts

I cannot say enough nice things about Lexington Pediatrics. My son has been a patient here since he was just a few days old, and the staff has always been nothing short of amazing. They have weekend sick visits, which is great and has saved us a few trips to urgent care. There is a free parking lot, but it can be crazy at times since there are other offices in the building. I always make sure I'm there early just in case I need to drive around to find a spot. The only thing I don't love is the off hours answering service. Some of the people on the phones can be quite rude, which is frustrating, especially when you are dealing with a sick child and just want to talk to a nurse or doctor. But, I don't think they are actual staff members of Lexington Peds. read more

Lexington Pediatrics has been my two children's primary care for the last 7/11 years and I cannot give enough positive feedback. Through every sickness, broken bones, fevers, flu shots. Caring doctors. Weekend appointments...because sickness is not only on weekdays. I recommend Lexington Pediatrics to all my closest friends now having kids. That is saying alot. read more

Medicine? Or a Human Cash Register? This doctors office certainly sees you as the latter. As a sometimes panic stricken new mother sometimes we moms need a small amount of assurance from a trusted medical professional. I had asked for a few minutes of the doctors time or a last minute appointment and was told to take my child to the ER if I thought it was serious, or go to CVS?????!!!!!!! Think the nurse staff as human beings should know that telling a mother to take her child to the ER is pretty severe, long lines, lots of anxiety about the well being of your baby. Really, that's how you handle it? Sorry ladies, you have a hard job, but what happen to the golden rule of treating others as you wish to be treated? There is no need to be so harsh and jut plain rude. In my book you get two big thumbs down! Learn to treat your patients with a little bit of respect and I'll bet you will find your job much more rewarding. read more

I'm very pleased with the care and attention they have been giving to my son. He has quite a few medical conditions and they always have been available when we need to see or talk to someone. We love Dr. Arthur but if sometimes she is not around in the office, we see another physician and have been the same level of care. The nurses are friendly and professional, their front desk changed on us but honestly never had an issue with them either. I'm glad that even though we move away from this area for a bit, we continue driving back to see them. Now we are 20 min from them. They also have been very helpful with my son's transition from early intervention to public school. read more

They have been great with my son's care. Every time we need to talk to a doctor, they respond back within minutes. The whole staff is very friendly and explain everything that is happening with our son's health or care. They also have been very helpful with his school transition. read more

Rudest woman in the front desk. I can't stand people who speak to patients like they are stupid. I brought a small salad inside and started to open in and she cut me off and said "there's no eating in here" so I said okay and she said "uh yeah so there are kids in here with allergies so put it away" okay lady I get it that there isn't any eating in here but no need to be rude about it. read more

They have a very strict vaccination policy. If you don't vaccinate your kids by the age of 6 month, they will kick you out. No flexibility at all. But each child is different, and parents should have a say on this issue. It may be more related to insurance company (evaluation of performance?) and as a way to protect themselves. If you are seeking more flexible vaccination schedule, finding a family practice is way more better choice. The only pros is convenience. They are located at the center of the town, but maybe because of this good location, it makes them very proud and think good location will bring them more patients., and not hearing parents concern. Sorry, a good location won't make a good doctor automatically. read more

My husband is in the military and we just transferred to the area. I selected a Lexington Pediatrics physician as my two daughters PCM. This review is just based on their registration process for new patients as my daughters haven't even had the luxury of getting an appointment yet and probably will not as I am going to try and find a different office for them to go to. When we first moved to the area, I registered my daughters as new patients on Lexington Pediatrics website. One daughter needed to be seen the next day after I had registered. When I called I was told that she was not yet registered in their system, would not be able to schedule an appointment, and would have to wait until a specific office worker had them registered in the system and that they would call me. That only certain people were able to register your kids. I ended up having to take my daughter to the ER instead for this urgent care situation. It has been two weeks without a phone call from whoever is in charge their office's registration. I needed an appointment for the other daughter today, so I decided to call and see if I was finally registered to make an appointment. I had to be transferred from the appointment line to the person in charge of registration to see if they had been registered into their system as a new patient. The person told me that I needed to bring in a copy of the girls' vaccination records (to finalize registration, I guess) before I could make an appointment. Not with me to their appointment but they have to be in BEFORE I can even make an appointment. Fine. This is ridiculous, I am thinking. Why wouldn't the people in charge of registering patients called to let me know that this needed to be done?! I brought their records in that day. While I was in there I asked if they had a medical release form that I could fill out so that they could get a copy of my daughters' records from their previous physician. She told me that I would have to go online to get it and send it to their doctor. (ARGH! Can't this be done already?) I've never been to any office, that did not do this for you. But finally, I was able to go make an appointment for my daughter. Went upstairs to another floor (because their office is really confusing!) and found out that the doctor that I chose for their PCM isn't even available for Wednesday appointments because she doesn't work that day (I wanted a Wednesday appointment because the girls only have half day of school). Geez... So, here is what I think. This office needs to get their act together and better stream line their registration process. How about a new patient packet? Or if you don't want to waste paper, an email new patient packet? Something other than the unfriendly help (or should I say lack of help?!) that I received. I mean why did even bother filling out that online registration, if nothing was done by it. All that hurdle jumping and couldn't even get an appointment. Ridiculous! read more

My family and I have been with this practice for six years. We have healthy children with little to no medical needs despite a cold or virus here and there. We then had a scare with one of our children and unfortunately this office was such a disappointment. We had to go in frequently and were tossed between different providers most of whom were nurse practitioners. There was little to no continuity of care. I would call to get results or discuss new symptoms and not get a call back for 6 to 8 hours. This would delay further testing. The nurse practitioners handled every call back and our "primary care physician" we never heard from we just kept getting shuffled. The reason given was that the person who saw the child last calls, not their actual physician. So completely disorganized. Being in healthcare myself I knew how unacceptable this was. We live in this town and understand they have a large population of children and families to treat but in this case they were too busy to provide quality care to our young child. Again up to this point we felt this office was fine but the minute the health picture got complicated, they dropped the ball. I just wanted people to be cautious in case this happens to them. I attended this practice as a child and returned to it with my children when I moved back to the area. I have now taken my own children there for 17 years. I have found this to be a consistently excellent doctors' office. They have a very good nurse triage phone line people can call with questions about their child and get a prompt reply. They have several very good nurse practitioners who are often available even when the doctors are booked. The only time I had any sort of bad experience it was with one technician in particular. I brought it up to the staff. Turned out they had had problems with this guy in the past and got rid of him. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend this practice to others. read more

Pros: convenient location. Quite a few doctors and nurses to choose from. The doctors there always seem very busy. So although we have a pediatrician for my daughter, still often we end up with nurses seeing the kid. But along as it is regular check up, it is fine for a nurse to see her. I am not sure if the nurse will give the same evaluation if something urgent comes up. Our daughter has not got sick so far (four months old), so I cannot make a judgement on this yet. read more

Some nurses have little experience and deliver inappropriate incorrect information. Also, if breast feeding is going well do not let the lactation consultants make you feel like you're doing everything wrong. read more

I recently moved from New York to Massachusetts and found the reviews for Lexington Pediatrics impressive so I made an appointment for my son. He is on the Autism Spectrum and I made sure to ask the receptionist if there was a doctor that is well versed in Autism. She assured me they all were. After a month wait, we arrive at the office for our appointment. Being a new environment my son who is 5 became anxious so we went to sit in the room that is usually used for breastfeeding mothers. While waiting upwards of half an hour he became more and more upset. By the time we saw the doctor who did not even acknowledge my son, he was in a full-on meltdown. (I do not blame Lexington Pediatrics for this) However, the dr. did not even attempt to say hi to him which would have eased him slightly instead she called in their office social worker who escalated his meltdown quickly. My husband sat in the room with him while I was lead into another room to give the dr. information about my son. I was there specifically to talk about medication for him. Which she could not help with as she could not and would not give him an exam. She offered me a phone number to a crisis hotline and advised I bring him to a psychologist/ psychiatrist or both. Mind you he is not psychotic or suffering from a mental illness he is a little boy with Autism and anxiety. They billed my insurance company over $400 for not even seeing my child and giving me unhelpful advice. The following day I called Alwife Pediatrics in Arlington and they were amazing. If you have a child with special needs do not even bother attempting to bring your child here there is a complete lack of compassion and understanding. read more

My daughter went here for a few years. The care seemed only mediocre mostly. If she'd ever developed any kind of serious condition I think we would have looked elsewhere. My daughter never felt much of a connection to the caregivers here and rarely seemed truly satisfied with the care. read more

Nice, new office space with plenty of parking on Bedford St. We have seen many of the providers at this practice (both NPs and MDs) and have found them all to be very good. They get one star taken off because their staff is generally surly, especially their front desk staff. Yet, given the high quality medical care, good nurse triage, it is worth putting up with some grumps at the front desk. read more

Dr. Lock is an outstanding physician and truly cares about the well-being of my children! All of the doctors and nurses who we have seen for standard visits and sick visits have spent as much time with us as we needed and always made us feel comfortable and confident in the care being provided to our boys! Coming from a family with medical professionals, I have high expectations for my providers and even higher standards when it comes to the care of my children. That said, I would highly recommend this practice! read more
