Decemeber Nightmare....... Tim Powers White Toyota Tundra..........Lexdan's staff covered up the paint problems....... The Facts are in! Red Flag & Run!! Not Recommended!!! True Story Here!!!! Lying Lexdan is the most deceitful Company I have ever bought from. From the salesman-James, to the Mng. Scott and all the way up to the Owner Dennis K........what a run around & Joke!!! No call backs and consistently pushed me off for weeks/months at a time! Even the Owner Dennis that replys to these complaints would not call or talk to me to fix this problem. Starts at the top folks, Crooked! Can't wait to see what Dennis says about this posting and it is my First time ever Buying a vehicle out of state and posting on Google......for the records!! Come Clean Dennis and make it Right!! I drove back home 5 hrs. and called Scott the next morning with my Tundra's paint problem after all the ice and snow melted off. When I showed up to buy it in the morning it was covered across the hood, windshield & cab with ice & light snow/frost late December....this is a White Truck, so it was solid white.....not a big deal, I test drove it, discussed any problems with Scott the Mng.......and he said it's clean and no problems and did not have a salvage title or nothing else. Now this truck is a 2016 with 12K miles; appears to be in mint condition, except for the ice cover up on the hood/cab area!! So, I took the truck to my local auto shop and they informed me that this has been repainted all around the truck to cover rust up and other things..........So the Mint Turck is showing problems right off the bat and No Call backs from Dennis and his Staff........remember it comes from the Top Down........Pathetic, wish I could have been one of the Happy Customers.........Dennis & Staff knew this trucks problems because I found out later the previous owner, a Car Dealership bought this truck at an Auction and returned it because of all the paint problems and put it up for Arbitration and then Lexdan-Dennis bought it and unloaded his problem on to me.......Dennis and your staff......the Big Guy Up Above will have the final say with you all........Amen to that!! Dennis, if you want to make this right you have my number, call me and pay for the job that you should have completed the right way in the git go.......Amen!! I've had months of calls with dealerships, auto-body shops, attorneys' and what should have been a Great Experience is one of thee Worst Experience Ever for me!! Disappointed and Angry - In May of this year (2025), I purchased a 2018 Honda Odyssey from Lexdan Automotive of Maplewood, MN. It only had 51,000 miles. The salesman was friendly and helpful. At the time, he was busy helping three different customers purchase a vehicle, but he still gave us the attention we needed to buy the Odyssey. When I asked the salesman if the vehicle had been in any accidents, he told me it had a clear title. His answer was accurate but that is not what I asked. The vehicle had been in an accident, and he did not reveal that to me. I asked him how many owners and he said it had a couple with one being in Montana and the other in Washington DC. The truth is that it had 4 owners before me. I asked the salesman for a Carfax and he said he would print one out. I failed to secure that prior to signing on the line for purchase. Had I seen the Carfax, I would not have ever purchased the vehicle. (Yes, my fault for not demanding the Carfax but, nonetheless, I was deceived.) Immediately after the purchase, I began to hear a noise in the engine. I thought it was A/C related. Since I had purchased an extended warranty from Lexdan, I took the vehicle to my local mechanic. Once he had the van on his hoist, he called me to come to the shop. He showed me where the vehicle had been in an accident. He showed me welded spots that had been spray painted (but were already rusting). He showed me new bolts for the motor mounts that had been replaced and a wiring harness to the alternator that had been cut and rewired without the harness. There had been some fabrication of metal and welding done by the radiator and repainted. The salesman told me the van had two new tires on the rear of the vehicle, but my mechanic showed me the "checking" on those tires which suggested they were definitely not new. I asked my mechanic to check the transmission fluid, and it was black and smelled burned. So far, I have paid for new tires, a front-end alignment, a transmission flush, an alternator harness, and repair to the protection shields under the vehicle. My mechanic is still trying to get to the bottom of the a/c noise. (He is thinking it is motor mount related.) Not sure what all that will cost me. Once he finally diagnoses the problem, I am hoping the extended warranty will help with the cost. I have already put a lot of money into the vehicle Lexdan sold me with clear lies involved. When my mechanic showed me the damage under the vehicle, I called Lexdan and asked for the Carfax. It took me 4 different calls or texts to get that information. The report told me about the accident and that I was the fifth owner. Lexdan gave me a 30 day - 1000-mile warranty with the vehicle. I had exceeded those limits by the time I took the vehicle to the mechanic. Lexdan's Sales Manager called me and offered to bring the vehicle to their shop for their mechanic to examine and perform service work. Since I have a very capable mechanic near my home (2-hour drive from Lexdan Automotive) I have no intention of allowing Lexdan to have another chance to deceive me or take more money. I paid over $32,500 for the vehicle including vehicle price, warranty, tax, and fees. Lexdan will NOT get another penny of my money, and I strongly advise that others consider the same. I have never been a vindictive person. I am a retired Pastor and love to treat people with respect. I have never written a negative review. I have written several good reviews for people who have treated me with respect and kindness. I had been looking for a Toyota Tundra for some time and found numerous options at Lexdan Auto of Maplewood. After inquiring online about a specific truck, I was contacted by Franck. He was very kind and easy to work with and made my 3.5 hour drive absolutely worth it. RUN AWAY. Please. LOOK AT THE BBB COMPLIANTS. The BBB compliants are legit, and echo my expierence with this dealership. I drove 4 hours to view 2012 Acura Advance with 85,000 miles, vin number 2HNYD2H63CH511563, and my disdain for Lexdan Automotive's deceptive and dishonest practicies knows no bounds. Prior to making the four hour trip to see the only vehicle I was interested in , I communicated via text with FRANK. Frank had been upselling the above referenced vehicle throughout our three week communications. Frank had ample time and opportunity to dissuade me from driving 4 hours to see this "impressive overal condition vehicle, with one owner" ( Lies) After taking off work, and spending 12 hours round trip, the vehicle turns out to be all smoke and mirrors. A ROLLING TURD. Lexdan was attempting to offload a crappy auction purchase or a stripped car. Perhaps that is why the car was once in Milwaukee ( Lexdan Auto Milwaukee) and transported to Minneapolis. Something shady is going on. The second I pressed on the gass pedal my friend and I hear "clunk clunk clunk". Lexdan Automotive emmulates every shady car salesman monolouge that has ever been created. In all my communications with Frank, my knowledge of cars and the vehicle was evident. I new the issues /recalls, servcie maintenance schedules (recommended by Acura) and everything else. It was amazing when Franks manager tried to convince me that the timing belt replacement was optional. Really? Over and above my knowledge I mentioned that two of my friends owned the same vehicle, and one would be attending the appointment with me. Neverheless, the dog and pony show ensued. I have no clue how Frank or anyone at this dealership ascertained positive reviews. Are people really that gullible? Frank, and his collegues ( so called managers) threw me under the bus and wasted my time. For what? In all our communication he had to know I would never buy that car in that shape, no matter how much they polished it up. I made my second purchase from this dealership. My first purchase was over five years ago which I handed the keys to my son who recently started driving. Since i was happy with my first purchase I shopped them again. This dealership had many Toyotas in stock like the first time of my visit. I was very pleased with my visit and the service I received on my second purchase of a new to me Tacoma last week. Hoping that it will serve me well another five years to hand it over to my other son. I look forward to visit them again when I need a replacement of my Tacoma. read more

Terrible experience I simply went to test drive a car I liked. Ended up with a rude salesman seems like it offended him for asking if he was willing to negotiate. He even stated why I hadn't gone to the dealerships down to road. And made me feel as if I wasn't good enough to be in his dealership. Went to look at jeeps i told salesman i was there for one 70000 but girlfriend wanted to test drive ones on lot since other on show floor as they drive i am looking at show floor decide this is it son even front seat. Take son out as they pull up. Next thing i see other salesman shows that jeep and sells it. We had cash she financed but i was actually looking at it. How unprofessional. Never had that at a traditional dealership. Ih and the one in lot had horrible lifter noise and salesman had no idea what i was talking about. Salesrep Don understood what I was looking for and was never pushy; didn't try to up-sell me. Had me try a wide variety of cars that he thought may work for me and were within my budget. Owned car for over 50k miles and it still runs like a dream. As like any used car purchase I would still recommend taking the intended purchase to your mechanic for a quick overview. My mechanic noticed that one of the ties had a small bulge in it. When I mentioned this to Don he arranged to have a set of 4 new tires installed and didn't even try to increase our negotiated price. Left with a great car, for the price we agreed on plus had over $1000 in new tires on it. read more
