I recently purchased a 2025 RS3 from Audi St Paul. The entire process from allocation, purchasing transaction, to delivery went very smoothly. Both Rasethnu Jenkins and Carl Berwald were helpful in explaining the production, transportation, and delivery process, which quickly happened in three months despite this performance model being newly introduced in the US. They were tough negotiators when it came to price, but gave me a very fair allowance for my trade-in. They were quite accomodating relative to installation of add-ons that I purchased, working with my schedule for completion and final delivery. I have had all of my service done at Audi St Paul for years and was glad to purchase from them as well.

Closing in on three years of doing business with Audi St. Paul. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Some of the employees have come across as aloof at times but overall they all seem to do their due diligence and I've never left feeling cheated. Dealerships can get a bad rap but I've always found Audi St. Paul to be ethical and fair in the delivery of their service.

However, when I showed up to the dealership for the appointment, the sales team and technicians had no idea that I was scheduled to come in due to what I assume was a lack of internal communication. I was the at the dealership for 6 hours before I was able to complete the purchase, which was much longer than I expected (especially considering that I had been at the dealership two days before and had talked through things with a sales person - Ben was great to work with!). Later, while completing the finance paperwork, the Finance Manager, Jason S., made a comment that the owner of the dealership "is an asshole," which I found to be quite unprofessional and frankly just a bit of a bizarre thing to say. He also seemed like he really just wanted me to sign the papers and get out of there because it was a Friday afternoon. I purchased an extended warranty, but decided to cancel it a few weeks later within the refundable period. I submitted the cancellation form to Jason at the end of December, and he informed me it would take 4-6 weeks for Schmelz to receive the refund from the warranty company. It took 3 months for the refund to be applied to my loan balance. I understand that it takes time for the cancellation to be processed, however, I had to persistently follow up with Jason multiple times via email and phone calls in order to get the refund payment sent to my lender. The final time I emailed Jason on March 9th, he informed me that refund would be sent to my lender within one day. 3 weeks later, the refund had still not been applied to my loan, so I called Jason to ask about the status of the refund. He told me that Schmelz had mailed the check, but that it had not been cashed yet, and that he needed to review the tracking number to investigate, and that he would contact me with more information. He also told me that the refund was mailed as a physical check. Later that day, I called my lender, and they confirmed that the payment was sent by Schmelz electronically just within the last few hours. I interpreted this to mean that the refund payment was not sent by Schmelz to my lender until I had called Jason that morning to inquire about why the refund had not been processed, and he finally had it sent over to my lender (even though he confirmed with me via email 3 weeks prior that it had been sent). It was very frustrating to have to consistently reach out to the Finance Manager over the course of several months to try to obtain information about the status of the cancellation refund. I felt like Schmelz was not wanting to process this payment because they hoped I would just stop calling or forget about it, as they then do not have to deal with any chargeback on the warranty or see a reduction in warranty sales goals. I overall did not have a pleasant experience with the Financing team at Schmelz.

At first we were working with Stephany and even shared with her how my husband's mom had just died and so we were exhausted both physically and emotionally. So we had everything all set and agreed to put down a thousand dollars for each vehicle to be held, the next day when we came in Stephany was off but a lady from finance with a "Karen" cut (some white lady giving lesbian vibes but would be the man in the relationship) told us she would call her and see if she could come in. Again things seemed good, until the "Karen cut" financial lady got greedy and was also treating us differently because I decided not to get my vehicle for myself since I am dealing with PTSD driving since I almost died... and also for health reasons haven't been able to drive ever since my major car wreck as well. I had planned to get a vehicle but changed my mind and it seemed that they took it personal... (butt hurt for sure)... and now us holding the truck for my husband became a problem and they wanted another thousand to hold it longer and then it became 4 K to "hold it" with ZERO in writing! The Karen hair lady in financial department ruined EVERYTHING and after letting her know that very loudly we walked out. I called Stephany to let her know it wasn't her fault and then she NEVER responded too... fake fake fake... very disappointed in how we were treated. Didn't even offer us a freaking bottle of water and we were going to purchase the truck for 80K cash out write... we went to a different dealership instead in Burnsville (I think Burnsville Dodge and Ram)... that was clean and had a playroom for our toddler and not hot as hell like the weird unfriendly area this place put us in like a timeout room lol. Love my Mercedes that I bought here, hate the service at this dealership…read more We bought my car used and it had a few little issues with warning lights not going off (the SOS alert--the Euro equivalent of OnStar). The sales guy promised to fix that and a bunch of other things...but the moment we signed for the car all the promises evaporated. I know. I shoulda got it in writing. Salesdude is now retired. This year, we had a problem with the ignition. We knew exactly what needed to be done but didn't have the tools/parts to do it--so we took it to the dealer. We told them what services we wanted performed, but they still charged us for expensive diagnostic work. They also left (completely non-ignition-related) parts of the engine only loosely attached (i.e. caps, plugs, etc.) and in some cases not connected at all. They also stated that they would clean/detail the car as a complimentary service--which they didn't do, but whatever, we weren't expecting or paying for that. And then... ...things started breaking. I'm not saying it was the dealer's fault, but it's a really weird coincidence that I had NO problems until that one, and after we brought it in, there was a veritable onslaught of minor issues (all of which, thankfully, my husband was able to repair himself). Repair costs are also incredibly expensive. That's typical with a dealership mechanic, though. Maybe I'd purchase another car from them, but I'd be sure to get every promise in writing before signing anything. Smarmy.

I took it in and was given the dirtiest loaner (Tesla vehicle) that I've ever seen. I took this in for the same problem twice. After that I was told that our car had new software and new turning signal. When we got on the highway we noticed lots of wind noise coming from the repaired side door. I opened the door and they forgot to put the door seals back on. So after a week or so we took our brand new X back in to service and received yet another filthy, banged up smelly loaner. Hours later Tesla called said it was fixed. We took a test drive with the service tech and we duplicated the issue again. I showed him where the seal was damaged and that that's where the noise was coming from. I was told to drive for a few days to see if it were just a temporary thing. It wasn't.. then Tesla mobile came out and that the protection tape was left on causing the seal to warp around window points. So we would have to take it back in for a new seal. At this point Tesla told me that this is how the seal comes to them. While the tech looked through our car he noticed that his service crew didn't put back some of the parts that were taken off for repair. It only took about five minutes to fix. At this point I didn't want Tesla's service center to touch our X again because of all the issues. So I went around the whole car and took pictures of the unfinished repairs. There were lots of imperfections with our Model X when we got it. They had us write everything down on paper and they gauge it to their technicians (eden Prairie, MN). This was to far of a drive so we chose Maplewood location. HUGE MISTAKE! Needless to say that there's still a lot of unfinished repairs but we're dealing with them. We do LOVE the X despite horrible experiences with the Service Center Repairs.
