    Love my Mercedes that I bought here, hate the service at this dealership…read more We bought my car used and it had a few little issues with warning lights not going off (the SOS alert--the Euro equivalent of OnStar). The sales guy promised to fix that and a bunch of other things...but the moment we signed for the car all the promises evaporated. I know. I shoulda got it in writing. Salesdude is now retired. This year, we had a problem with the ignition. We knew exactly what needed to be done but didn't have the tools/parts to do it--so we took it to the dealer. We told them what services we wanted performed, but they still charged us for expensive diagnostic work. They also left (completely non-ignition-related) parts of the engine only loosely attached (i.e. caps, plugs, etc.) and in some cases not connected at all. They also stated that they would clean/detail the car as a complimentary service--which they didn't do, but whatever, we weren't expecting or paying for that. And then... ...things started breaking. I'm not saying it was the dealer's fault, but it's a really weird coincidence that I had NO problems until that one, and after we brought it in, there was a veritable onslaught of minor issues (all of which, thankfully, my husband was able to repair himself). Repair costs are also incredibly expensive. That's typical with a dealership mechanic, though. Maybe I'd purchase another car from them, but I'd be sure to get every promise in writing before signing anything. Smarmy.

I have never received anything but excellent 5 star service. Just this past week I received the same excellent service with their personal "white glove" treatment by Service Technician (Jeff H.), Service Advisor (Tony A.) and Service Manager (Justin M.).     I purchased a vehicle from CarMax on Feb 20th and they had it shipping out of MA within a day and…read moreby Feb 28th they killed the EV's 12V battery by failing to put it in transport mode and plugging it in. The vehicle was then stuck in Chicago for 4 WEEKS. They failed to follow warranty processes of car manufacturers and tried to tell me they couldn't get it serviced until April 14th. I called the manufacturer and they got the service appointment moved up to March 19 (three business days after I called). The manufacturer had to do everything to get the situation resolved as CarMax didn't help but tried to claim credit that their team got the appointment moved up. CarMax got the vehicle back on March 24th and couldn't get transportation arranged for 4 days. Remember they originally shipped it out in one day but the local General Manager tried to tell me it was so extremely complex to ship this vehicle thus the delay. The vehicle is still not here five weeks after purchase; Chicago is only 6 hours from us. I will never buy another vehicle from them again. We have to ask for updates while everyone up to the store manager just makes excuses. If it weren't for the EV configuration, I would have bought from someone else a month ago.

    Let me start by saying it's been a HORRID last 2 years for me. From losing a job (FOUND A NEW…read moreONE!), not having an apartment work out and moving back home with my parents, lost my only car from a crash, and having to walk to work in -20 weather everyday during winter 5 days a week. I tried so hard. I felt like giving up. Everything I thought I had was gone. It all went downhill. I decided to save and chance it going to buy a new car. My team at Carmax worked their tails off. It felt like my hopes at first were low due to being rejected by almost ALL car companies. (Ford, chevy, VW, ect!) CarMax made my process easier than the others! But why? I used the app to find my prequalified options and finally found the ONE! She was a beauty. I said to myself "that's my car" I still cringed at the thought of rejection hence my credit score, REPO history I was trying to grow and overcome... within the minutes of finding the car, I did a loan application. I kid you not 3 minutes later I have a blue sparkly screen that said "CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED" I cried.... it worked fast for me. I was shocked. I was astounded by how fast the application was and approval and how EASY. The next day at work I was getting eager and nervous and doubtful still! Like "maybe it was fake?" So I read reviews and of course all companies have them. You can't honestly base someone else's experience off yours. So I doubted half the fake reviews that consisted of people probably never bought a car from them anyway! Bianca from the team called me to catch up and confirm the process to tell me how things were going. She even asked me how I was doing and how she was excited to say it was approved.... Soon after Brianna a sales rep called and confirmed and told me I needed insurance on the car & a deposit and I could come in. So I agreed and said I'll do it in the morning. The morning comes I get eager, I buy the insurance hoping to god it wasn't fake or false hope because the application, it was just simple and fast. My other dealership experience with ford was 4+ hours!!!!! I got eager & called CarMax and said "it's done" and I'm eager for the car. CarMax people called me back saying "COME IN ITS READY!" So I drove 2 hours to the CarMax my car was at. On my way down about 1 hour in JOHN from CarMax said "I'm sending a fast application so we can hurry the process and get you in your car fast!" John was amazing. He listened to me rant how excited and how far I'm coming for my car. John listened to me on the phone and it was the most humane conversation I had with someone in a long time. It was my 1 good thing that's happened to me in a whole 2 years. It felt like a true "CarMax Miracle " I had a giant bow on my car when I turned around!!! It was so beautiful. My heart melted. I felt relieved. I could breath for once and go home in my car!!! We go in and finish my down payment & he handed me the keys. I drove off with the biggest grin! what I received was the best customer service & professional opinion/help. I have never doubted the experienced staff at CarMax I never doubted the team/business. I doubted myself. And I never doubt Anyone at CarMax because The integrity, courage and pride is all attributes that were displayed. when in hopes to purchase a car, I will never doubt CarMax with professionalism. In this case, it was about Helping me and making my life a little bit more better. NOT ONCE WAS IT The dealer saying "this car" or "you are only allowed this car" or something the dealer wants to sell you. It was all WHAT I WANTED. I've been to about 8 dealers both corporate & local. This was the FIRST THAT DID NOT SELL ME A CAR BUT SOLD ME A FRIENDSHIP AND LOYALTY. I PROMISE YOU CAN WALK IN AND YOU WONT BE SHOVED IN A CAR YOU HATE OR DON'T EVEN LIKE. YOU made my life better. I can now go to work with ease and go home not freezing and crying from exhaustion. I CAN GO HOME TO VISIT MY FAMILY. Thank you. P.s thank you for the free snacks and drinks provided by my CarMax CarMax, Maplewood, MN & online services. I love my new Car

    My gosh where to start. First off Kirk was the man at finding me a reliable car within my budget…read moreand getting me approved with a 587 credit score. He really out his nose to the grindstone and made it happen. I ended up driving away in an amazing 2022 Honda Civic Sport with only 8,300 miles on it!! I drive a lot for work and managed to also get me an extended warranty/service contract for 5 years- 150,000 miles which was the entire extent of the loan. Justin also was great explaining the features of the car and getting the paperwork done with me in under 45 mins!!! Any other time I've bought a car it was an all day ordeal. Sadly 3 weeks after purchasing the car, I was t-boned by another driver and my beautiful new car was totaled. I was devastated. After it was towed I needed to retrieve my belongings. But my title hadn't been transferred yet. So I called the office and the owner Jim Long answered and helped me. I had him on speakerphone with the attendant at the tow yard and after Jim was told what would be needed for me to get my belongings out of the car and have it released to my insurance, he got right on it. He personally made a trip to the DMV to get the paperwork and I was able to move the process along within 24 hours. So not only did Kirk unexpectedly get me financed for a pretty much brand new awesome car, but Justin had my old car traded in with all paperwork filled out and signed in under an hour and 3 weeks later after the car was totaled Jim went out of his way to get the paperwork needed to keep my insurance claim moving. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE AGAIN AMAZING QUALITY VEHICLES WITH UNREAL QUALITY SERVICE!!! One more important detail that shows how much class this place has and how caring they are is the first thing Jim said when I called about the paperwork was, "I heard what happened. Are you OK?" Where all other dealers would see this as an opportunity to sell me another car, not once during the conversation was anything about that mentioned. It shows you're not just some number with these guys but an actual human. That's why I'll be buying another car from Long's and I recommend you do the same!

I hadn't purchased anything late model used and knew there might be some work needed down the line. When I ended up having some repairs needed some time down the line, Long's was there to take care of me and did repairs at a fair rate and very quickly. Bob who runs the shop is a great guy. Now I won't go anywhere else for a used vehicle. Long's treated me like family so now I think of them as family!

    Very disappointing...  I have a 2025 Crosstrek.  And have…read morebeen having some on-going issues. * My auto start doesn't seem to work consistently.  Seems to work once every 3-5 times I try to use it. * There is also a blown out/crackling speaker in the back of my SUV - makes a loud static noise when the volume is above 12. * I also am unable to open my trunk, oftentimes having to use a crowbar to open it.  I shouldn't have to break into my own car just to use it. * Also, When it is cold out the inside of my car gets frosted up.  So I am having to scrape the inside of my windows as well as the outside.  This should not be happening!  This is my first Subaru vehicle and this has not been a good experience at all!  I have paid a lot of money to Subaru, only to have a broken supposedly brand new vehicle.  What can be done about this?  I am not going to keep making payments on vehicle that has ongoing issues and IS supposed to be "brand new". The Minnessota Lemon law states: "The Minnesota lemon law covers new motorvehicles purchased or leased in Minnesota.The law covers passenger automobiles, aswell as pickup trucks and vans. The self propelled motor vehicle chassis or vanportion of a recreational vehicle is alsocovered. True Story Here!!!! Lying Lexdan is the most deceitful Company I have ever bought from. From the salesman-James, to the Mng. Scott and all the way up to the Owner Dennis K........what a run around & Joke!!! No call backs and consistently pushed me off for weeks/months at a time! Even the Owner Dennis that replys to these complaints would not call or talk to me to fix this problem. Starts at the top folks, Crooked! Can't wait to see what Dennis says about this posting and it is my First time ever Buying a vehicle out of state and posting on Google......for the records!! Come Clean Dennis and make it Right!! I drove back home 5 hrs. and called Scott the next morning with my Tundra's paint problem after all the ice and snow melted off. When I showed up to buy it in the morning it was covered across the hood, windshield & cab with ice & light snow/frost late December....this is a White Truck, so it was solid white.....not a big deal, I test drove it, discussed any problems with Scott the Mng.......and he said it's clean and no problems and did not have a salvage title or nothing else. Now this truck is a 2016 with 12K miles; appears to be in mint condition, except for the ice cover up on the hood/cab area!! So, I took the truck to my local auto shop and they informed me that this has been repainted all around the truck to cover rust up and other things..........So the Mint Turck is showing problems right off the bat and No Call backs from Dennis and his Staff........remember it comes from the Top Down........Pathetic, wish I could have been one of the Happy Customers.........Dennis & Staff knew this trucks problems because I found out later the previous owner, a Car Dealership bought this truck at an Auction and returned it because of all the paint problems and put it up for Arbitration and then Lexdan-Dennis bought it and unloaded his problem on to me.......Dennis and your staff......the Big Guy Up Above will have the final say with you all........Amen to that!! Dennis, if you want to make this right you have my number, call me and pay for the job that you should have completed the right way in the git go.......Amen!! I've had months of calls with dealerships, auto-body shops, attorneys' and what should have been a Great Experience is one of thee Worst Experience Ever for me!!
