Also the home plate has deep, worn trenches from the batters. One batter hit the ball and tripped coming out of the batters box. He ofcourse didn't quite make it to 1st and was called out. If he hadn't lost his footing he would have been safe. We had the same problem with a non working score board the last time we played at this park. What are they doing with the revenue?? I hope we never play at this park again.

Exercise park with built in equipment to use. Long, paved cement walking trail, that wraps around the main sports complex. Bleachers and night lights. I see three baseball fields, all in the middle, labeled 1,2,3, with a covered pavilion in the middle of those w many tables (about ten) grills, bathrooms. Seems great for a birthday party. Bathrooms- I see a few different doors for bathrooms. We went in women's- one stall, decent and clean enough. Had light and TP and mirror. More decent than most lol. Was open at 4:30p week day. Down below, like in back of those feilds, I see a big football field down below, and a big tennis court that may have a different parking lot-- perhaps a side road when you enter the lot, that goes down to them. Not sure if soccer field anywhere? I see a make-shift concert area maybe? Like layers of grassy areas for maybe summer picnic concerts? Many benches all along the walking trail, water fountain by front trail, and at bathrooms, many trash cans all over. Love that. I also see big dumpsters way on back left side. Playground seems decent. Not a large area, but has two bigger structures, one for bigger, one for smaller, and mini climbing wall, many plastic slides, monkey bars, tan bark flooring - gets a bit soggy w the rain. Two benches in there, one picnic table, one trash can. Not gated in. I see some kids on it, so it may get used. Hadn't heard of it. Many here walking and practicing sports on their own. I assume practices during those seasons/ weekends? A stand with many doggie bags for dog poop. Seems well kept, and a popular after school and work spot. Surrounded by trees, which is nice. By the time we left at 4:50p, many more people arrived to walk and play. We enjoyed it! Good walk for exercise! May bring the bikes next time. lol

This is an incredible park very close to downtown Cartersville, Georgia…read more The park has a public pool which is well maintained and clean, basketball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, football, baseball and soccer fields, an oval running track, lots of asphalt and gravel trails and a beautiful pond in the center with ducks and turtles. An amazing walking trail to honor the US veterans, and all laid out in a beautiful manner. I really enjoy coming here to ride my bike or walk my dog.

I use to come here for tennis lessons as a kid and my brother's boy scouts would do picnics here…read more (I hated both. I hated tennis but my mom wanted me to do this or swimming and this felt less painful than wearing a swimsuit. I also hated boy scout stuff because I hated being outdoors..i.e. the flies, gnats and snakes..oh my...plus there is no TV...) They've kept the place clean and the equipment nice and modern. (The tennis court that we use to use is still there and I see that it's got a fresh coat of paint and new nets.) Lots of the neighborhood baseball teams and softball teams hold games here so it gets lots of use. I'm not sure who is in charge of grounds keeping but they seem to always be on top of things. The trash cans are always emptied and I never see any trash on the ground anywhere. So kudos to them for keeping this park shinny and green! Keep up the good work guys!

Cauble Park sits in the heart of Acworth and is a sprawling park that features all the standard…read moreofferings of a park from grill areas, gazebos, walking paths, playgrounds, restrooms and a few other public spaces that are first come first serve...but what makes Cauble Park so special is the beach...yup, the beach in the middle of Acworth! A portion of the park is dedicated to Acworth Beach, which is a fairly good sized sandy beach along side Lake Acworth. The beach is well kept, clean and normally packed during the summer months, as you would expect. They do have buoys in the water noting distance parameters, but the beach does not have active lifeguards, so very much "swim at your own risk". As with other beaches, they offer restrooms and showers adjacent to the beach. While Cauble Park features all the good stuff of a park, it is also a residential neighborhood. To access you either have to live in the city limits of Acworth, and have your respective car tag, or pay a per-car fee to enter. It ranges from $10 - $20, depending on the season. Parking is plentiful, but can be tough on summer weekend days or during special events such as July 4th. Something else I enjoyed about this park is the wooden walkway that took you over Lake Acworth and gave great views of the park, lake and beach. This trail leads into a wooden trail, and while I enjoy paved trails a bit more, I get the preservation of the woods and leaving the trail paved/dirt. This trail is not very long, and dead ends into another residential street. Overall, Cauble Park at Acworth Beach is a well know, but hidden gem in the community! My best friend lives in Acworth, so every time I visit, we make sure to swing by the park at least once.

Often, families have parties in the pavilions and use the charcoal grills that are located in the park. You have to bring your own charcoal. The playground has been updated within the past year or so. It's really nice and seems to be very popular. I see people fishing, canoeing, boating, walking their dogs, and getting into the water at the beach. Personally, I'm not that suicidal that I would get into the water any time soon. What comes to the restrooms, I do not use them unless I absolutely have to. I have attended several events at this park, and I enjoyed them. However, if you come to see fireworks, prepare yourself for a long walk. You might have to park very far from the park. City of Acworth Parks and Recreation is not enforcing parking fees all the time, maybe just on summer weekends? I have never paid for parking here. Absolutely clean, beautiful place.

We did the red trail loop that was about 2.5 miles long. Although located off a really noisy highway, as you go inside the park it gets surprisingly quiet and nice. It's next to the Roswell Art Center and parking can get difficult to find at times. And, there are no restrooms, only porta potties. I recently had the opportunity to…read morecheck out a small part of this Roswell park to take birthday photos for a close friend, and it was the perfect backdrop (along with this epic pink Thunderbird from 1957)! Beautiful, rolling green hills and lots of trees. Can't wait to see what it looks like once the leaves have begun to change color for Fall. Lots of families were there to visit and enjoy a walk or picnic, and there are walking/hiking trails to explore as well. The entire park consists of about 107 acres, including a dog park which I will definitely have to visit next time with my Husky.
