I walk from home torun here everyday to get fresh air and a decent workout! Such a beautiful park with a tiny dual use basketball/pickleball court, 1/2 mile nature trail around the perimeter with a slough running through, uphill trails to the top, play area and swings for kids, a baseball/soccer field and plenty of parking. Lots of birds, rabbits and an occasional garter snake greet you. A gem in the Lakemont neighborhood. read more

Lovely neighborhood Bellevue park. What makes this one extra special is its nature walks through the wetlands. We often hike the trails here and enjoy the covered playground when it's a little drizzly out. The playground is rather small so on busy days we tend to run around on the grass, walk the trails or check out what's happening in the visitors center. read more

I can't believe I've lived in Bellevue this entire time without having visited Lewis Creek Park until recently! It's a gem that's worth finding and frequenting as this park offers a serene trail and green space for enjoying. I visited Lewis Creek Park with a group and this was such a nice visit, especially since we were getting a ranger-led tour that I highly recommend all Bellevue residents do at least once! Located in the Lakemont area, Lewis Creek Park is mostly surrounded by residences and trees. The park offers a covered picnic shelter, visitor's center to learn more about the park, playground, water fountain, bathroom and a mile-long trail that's worth exploring. When I visited, our group had lunch here and then we went on the loop trail, which was a great way to learn about the flora and fauna of the area. The trail is mostly flat and is easy. However, I would recommend on rainy days to wear shoes with traction to avoid slipping on the hill. But it's an easy stroll through the woods where you can see plants, trees, and possibly animals, like the coyotes that frequent this area. If you're looking for a park in Bellevue that's not busy and is hidden, I recommend Lewis Creek Park as it's a spacious area for you to enjoy with amenities to make your stay comfortable. read more

Our family (two adults and toddler) decided to take a walk on a sunny Sunday recently. We live close by and have been here before. With the stay at home order, we haven't been out to any parks but decided to finally get the fresh air that we needed. When we arrived, we were worried about all the cars that were parked there. That worry was fleeting as once we started our walk, we realized how much space this park had. Everyone was so courteous of personal space and footpaths were wide. This park offers varying types of walks - some an up hill climb, some through the forestry, some on paved concrete etc. All paths allowed for a bob stroller to easily navigate through. 10 reasons why i love lewis creek park: 1. HUGE parking lot with close walking to playground ( couple concrete steps away --no stroller needed unless you want to do a small hike around ) 2. Bathrooms in a building. Not porta. 3. Toddler playground is separate from big kids but still just separated by a small path so you can watch both. 4. Benches and concrete wall line the playgrounds so parents can sit on the outer part ( and parents usually are good here actually watching their kids and most of the time engaging. Haven't seen much tween/older- id imagine this playground doesn't have much excitement for someone over 7? Unless the basketball or baseball field) 5. Basketball court and 2 baseball fields in good condition 6. Playground on big kid side has small rope/walk climbing wall and its only really like 1 story - not a crazy 3-4 story like ive seen before so i don't have to worry about my almost 4 year old being up so high. And i can see him wherever he is on the playground. All the equipment is laid out so im not left guessing where his speedy lil self is. And theres a wobbly bridge that slows him down. 7. Baby/toddler playground is ideal for maybe 1-2.5 year olds and rarely is anyone older than that on it so little ones aren't being pushed around 8. Trees all around. Safe. Peaceful. People jogging. Dog walking. Not crazy kids screaming. Its a world away from say downtown imagination bellevue park. Always room to play. 9. Swings. 2 baby and 2 full size in their own little nook. 10. The giant grassy field of amazingness. We played and played and played. Kite flying. Baseball. Frisbee. Picnic. Running. Why was no one else doing this here? It was clean and minus the firehouse across the street with 1 trip of a siren, quiet and the ideal park day setting. Green and slight breeze ( perfect for our first kite flying - or 3 year old running around a field for an hour hoping to fly a kite) Also... ---theres usually a park ranger led activity of some kind on weekends. Wildlife watching etc so you can see that in the center on site. --if i could add anything here it would be a small splash pad or fountain. Something for warmer days read more

Our go to park for walks and dog walking park. This park has plenty of parking spaces, a visitor center that also serves as a community event center, playground and a wetland trail. The walking trail is very family friendly, well paved and flat surface. It also has couple picnic tables along the trail. read more

A really sweet park and as other reviewers have noted it is really sweet that they have a trail and boardwalk going through wetlands along with a playground (so incentive with your children that after mommy and daddy take you on a little walk there is time to play). Really sweet park to discover so close to such a highly populated area. read more

We go here all the time with our boys. There is a nice 1/2 mile wooded trail in the trees and playgrounds for kids. There is also some play fields with a paved walking area around it which is good for strollers if you have smaller children. read more

Nice tot area with covered swing sets. Love the natural track and trails. The park station has good nature exhibits for kids of all ages. Nice to have trails and nature close to home. The park trail has a paved section which is great for toddlers and trikes, and elderly needing a paved area, wheel chari enabled. read more

Absolutely adore this park. I'm here almost daily with my two kids. There are two separate playgrounds for kids of different age groups and canopies covering the kids and parents from too much sun. I appreciate the wonderful scenic 1/2 mile trail and the areas for basketball and baseball. read more

Visited this park for the first time today. I really like it. It's relatively new (built in 2005) and clean. The playground has a nice blend of structures for different ages. The playground area is not visible from the road or parking lot, which is nice, as it makes it more private. There are good long paved paths for kids bike riding, along with some short hills allowing them to get some speed going. What I liked best was the beautiful natural marsh area and trail in the back area of the park. There are other trails leading off from the main short loop. It creates a very nice addition to what would otherwise be a more standard park. read more

Nice big local park! Often times when I drive by I see camps and schools on the field practicing baseball or soccer! It's nice for local families to throw the ball with the little ones or friends and family! They have a playground for babies and toddlers. It's a nice average size. They have a small loop that you can walk around. A nice addition to this park is that there's a basketball court. There's a large parking lot! Plenty of parking spots. It's not a super big park with a lot activities but you can spend a good couple hours here but no more 2. After that, you might get bored. But there are picnic tables too. Pretty nice park to take a morning or afternoon stroll. It's quiet and you get to connect with nature. Breath in the fresh air and enjoy listening to the sound of the wind. You can also take your dogs for a walk. Just remember to pick up their creations so others, especially kids, won't step on them and bring them home to the parents. read more

Great play area with swings and slides for big and little kids. It's partially shaded with the canopies on top and lots of seating by the playground. There is a short trail that people can walk on a boardwalk/gravel road to view the trees and marsh. Bathroom is really clean but must go up the steps to the main building. Brought my boys to see the park and visit the visitor center on a Sunday... They wouldn't let us walk in the visitor center, because they have a program going on.... A free public scavenger hunt that's advertised online, but we can't go in and look around or participate. Way to disappoint two little boys! read more

I used to come here when the grasses were short and you were surrounded by water and wildlife when walking around the park. The grasses are now taller than most people. I kind of wish they maintained that part, but it does add a little marsh-y/forest-y character to the park. It's incredibly quiet--perfect for a nice long stroll in deep thought. There is one basketball court that I never really see people playing on..ever, a small playground for kids, a long trail (part boardwalk, part soft-surface) that loops around the park, a giant baseball field that can be reserved for little leagues or soccer teams, and a visitor center that offers activities throughout the week.
