The toilet was overflowing and there was no contact information for maintenance anywhere. There were several honey buckets outside, so I guess this happens frequently(?). It was quite packed with a group hosting a private event and the courts were all full. We walked around the park with our toddler, and there were tons of random kinks on the ground. I even found a piece of broken glass that wasn't super far from where my daughter was... The lake was pretty though, and there were people fishing. I think it's less maintained than Bellevue parks...

The second time my kid wanted to come so we purposely drove out to it. This time we left early because it didn't feel safe. We went to the bathroom and there was a homeless person in there occupying the handicap restroom, most likely doing something illegal. Her arm was sticking out under the stall and it felt kind of scary. I had to usher my kids out as quickly as possible. When we got back to the playground, tons of trash. A toddler pulled down her pants to pee on the ground. A bunch of teenagers were at the toddler playground without shoes on, occupying the "inside" of the playground. Worried my kids had to go to the bathroom again, we left early. It didn't seem sanitary nor safe anymore. We will not be back.

I had the opportunity to visit it twice during a 2 night stay on Mercer Island. It was one of the nicest waterfront city parks I've visited. There are two entrances to the park, with the North and South entrances leading to large free parking lots. The South Entrance was the closer one to both the light rail station and our Airbnb, both about a 20 minute walk away. The South parking lot is closer to the Swim Beach (a nice little beach with a protected swimming area). It is also closer to the Earth Sculpture "The Source" (to me, a cross between crop circles, Indian mounds, and a labyrinth. My wife mentioned she felt a different energy from it as we walked by. The Meadow is a large picnic area between the two parking lots. The North lot is close to the tennis (now pickleball) courts, and all were filled when we walked by.
