I was so impressed after seeing those photos, I just had to get photos of my dog too. I contacted Sarah Teveldal, owner of Flashpool, and she responded very quickly to set up the photo shoot. She coordinated the pool and was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, including when our first photos shoot got rained out. My dog (a mini dachshund) was nervous during the photo shoot and hesitant to jump in the water- Sarah still managed to work with her and get her in the pool. She also came up with great out-of-water playing shots and was even able to get mid-air jumping shots! Sarah edited a number of photos, which all turned out excellently, and accommodated my schedule so I could have edited photos in time to order a canvas (her website offers printing too!!) before my family comes to town for the holidays. Sarah's professionalism was top notch. Her artistic touch and ability to get a great photo, even with as challenging of a subject as a scampering, wet, mini-wiener dog was outstanding. From the day I contacted her she was so helpful and sweet. She gave us tips and tricks to keep in mind so that day-of we would be as prepared as possible. I let her know I was not a strong swimmer and she reassured me that we could still make this work! The end results were AMAZING and truly speak to how talented Sarah is. She was able to take fantastic shots in seconds. Like I mentioned previously, I am not a strong swimmer and have a mild fear of being in deep water. Even though we were underwater for seconds, she moved around us with a swiftness that enabled her to capture magical shots. Her boyfriend was also fantastic and helped throughout the shoot. Afterwards, we received edited photos within a few days and my family and I had a very tough time choosing the photos we wanted. There were so many beautiful photos. We ended up choosing one of our photos for our save-the-dates and nearly all our guests couldn't believe we were even underwater in the picture. We had such an amazing time on Lake Travis thanks to Willo and Float On. Everything about the…read moreexperience was extremely streamlined from booking to filling out waivers to navigating to the marina. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.

Before arriving to the dock, Trisha, who has been coordinating with us, and Brett, our captain, contacted us about half an hour ahead of time notifying us that Brett was ready for us at the lake whenever we arrived! Upon arrival, he provided a cooler with ice and water bottles for us to use to store some of our sandwiches and drinks. The boat ride was extremely smooth and he provided much insight into Lake Travis! The boat was equipped with speakers that allowed us to play our favorite songs and the slide & lily pad were a nice added touch! The girls and I thoroughly enjoyed it and the location he chose, Devil's Cove, was great for pictures and swimming. Overall, the experience was a 10/10 and I would highly recommend booking with Nauti ATX Charters again!

I am a writer and my first book (a YA novel) is coming out in the fall. I didn't want to include my pic on the book, but the publisher insisted. He also insisted on a professional pic. I chose Kelly after seeing her great Yelp reviews. And she has earned all the praise, and more! Even before I met her for the photo shoot, she was awesome-- kind, responsive, helpful, warm (and sometimes it's hard to be all that just over email). We ended up meeting at Overlook Park in GT for the shoot, and she encouraged me to bring an extra outfit if I wanted to change (b/c I got 2 different poses). Not only is she just as nice, warm, kind, gracious, and attentive in person, she is incredibly skilled as well. She put me at ease SO quickly (I was SO nervous, y'all!! I'm a writer b/c I want to stay hidden in my words...i don't want pics of me!), and before I knew it, I was actually having fun!! I couldn't believe it. That is a gift Kelly has, knowing what each person needs and then being able to adapt accordingly. I'm so grateful I met her. So the shoot was great, but then I got the proof gallery with SO many shots I loved (it was hard to select just 2, much to my amazement...I had thought I'd have trouble picking one b/c I typically hate pics of myself). So that process was awesome, and then she sent me the edited shots and I marveled at her great skill as an artist. Really, she has such an eye for the art of photography at every single level. I am so happy with the pics, and my publisher is too (and I've gotten compliments on them from others on social media, etc.). Yay and thank you, Kelly! I am telling all my writer friends about you, and you will be the only photographer I will ever call. We found Kelly online by accident and are so thrilled that we did! We met with Kelly to go over budget and our vision for our pictures at the beginning of the year. Not only did Kelly work with our budget but she drove down to Houston (where we live and work like crazy) to take our engagement pictures! She helped us with our unique vision for those pictures and the results were amazing! For our wedding Kelly came early and stayed late. She put up with the heat and got every shot we wanted, all by herself. She wrangled our family and friends and was friendly but professional the whole time. She worked well with our videographer, whom she had never met. WIthin 24 hours she had sneak peeks of our pictures up- and when I say sneak peeks, I mean 160 beautiful, perfect pictures ready to go! Her pricing was also completely fair and less than a lot of the big companies I looked at. Usually, I cannot stand pictures of myself. With Lisa, I have beautiful pictures that I love. My bridal portraits were AMAZING. Did I mention, I've never liked pictures of myself, EVER, until Lisa? The wedding photos came out gorgeous, my entire family was so happy. She captured such candid pictures of family and friends and she is wonderful at getting people together quickly and in flattering positions. In the moments right after the ceremony, you have literally 30 minutes to get pictures of the wedding party. We had an enormous wedding party, and Lisa was fast and friendly getting everyone to organize and pose. It's not easy, but she was a rockstar. More than anything, know that you're not getting a junior photographer at a big company. You're getting Lisa, and she's such a talent. Post-wedding, Lisa sent me all of my pictures on discs, copyright-released. She even touched up a lot of them, which she wasn't contracted to do. She's just that cool. (Sidenote: I'm a designer by trade, and she did great work on touch-ups - nothing was done incorrectly.) The discs were sent to me very quickly - they were waiting for me when I got back from the honeymoon. My family had such a wonderful experience, we will use Lisa again for future photography needs.

In the review, I tried to explain the circumstances surrounding my experience. The lack of communication continued for a period of over four months, not merely a few weeks time. But I also hope that it was clear that I thoroughly enjoyed my photo session with her, and I think the end-product satisfied my expectations. Review sites like this provide a snap-shot of people's experiences over time so that consumers can make educated decisions about their purchases. In so doing, they can balance the excellent reviews against those which may be more critical. I in no way mean to tarnish Maria's reputation, she is an excellent photographer. But I hope that by providing honest feedback, she can tailor her future services and future customers can have all of the facts in front of them when they choose to use her services.
