Having worked with a few other media companies i was looking for someone who could keep my bosses budget in mind and also bring something fresh to the table. After talking with 1023, i felt i had made the right choice. Filming went as expected, on time and very professional. They took plenty of film and bounced ideas off of me trying to get exactly what i wanted. After the filming we talked several other times to see what would best fit my expectations. I have to say the final product was well above what other companies have done. They brought a depth to the video style that other companies have not done for me. My boss was very happy with me and i can't wait to use them again. All iN all i can't think of a better experience with a media company and can't wait till next years project!!!

Ben C and the UPG Guys are not only great fun to work with, their work is above many other videographers I've chatted with recently. I've seen their previous VIDEO work and while impressed, I was looking for something with more animation, a solid voice over, and no actual video. They told me they could do it, though I feel that those are two entirely different kind of skillsets. The resulting work is great, the video flows well, the voice over is professional and great, and they revised everything we brought back at them. This is the worst drone service I have ever interacted with…read more Omid is the most immature person I have ever spoken to. I searched for drone services in Austin and Mavrik Pictures shows up. I give the number on the website a call and Omid who sounded like he woke up from a nap picks up. I ask him about his drone services and he asks when I would like to shoot. We schedule it a few days ahead. He says there will be a $200 deposit and he would send me the invoice in a day or two. Two days later, he sends the invoice which I gladly paid first thing in the morning the day before the shoot. My flight from a speaking engagement got delayed by a day and I was at the airport trying to get to Austin as soon as I could to make this shoot. I texted him 3am in the morning. I finally get in town and tried to call him again around 7am then tried at 8am. He picks up, and says he just saw my text. I told him I could power through it but I was exhausted and would like to reschedule. He explodes over the phone, calling me selfish several times, and yelling and interrupting me, telling me he had to drive his team from Dallas (just a reminder that his business and location of business shows Austin), and how he's made "such a big sacrifice" by not asking for 50% of the deposit and using good drones. I got really frustrated and told him that's not how anyone speaks to me, and if we want to reschedule and work together, then we have to speak with each other with respect. He was constantly interrupting me because he knew he misinterpreted the situation and he was in the wrong for not communicating that his team is actually based in DALLAS. Then threatened me to pay the entire fee even if I cancel (even though I didn't ask for cancellation but a reschedule) saying "My team will go to the location and you better be there and if you don't show up I'll see!" Word of advise don't use this service.
