WHAT'S UP, BIRCHES?!…read more This surprisingly spacious boutique specializing in home décor, apparel and accessories, like the Tardis, is much bigger on the inside than it appears. Unfortunately, the prices are also larger than other, similar shops in the area (Carousel in Snoqualmie, for example). There's more stock here, as a result of its size, and it's collection is arguably better curated and more stylish than most, depending on your taste. It's the kind of place my wife and I would love to shop, if things were a bit more affordable, but YMMV. Still, Birches Habitat is definitely worth checking out for the style-conscious consumer, and absolutely the best boutique in North Bend! You may find better deals at the outlet mall, but you're not likely to find anything as swanky!

We're Hispanic and definitely got the vibe that one of the staff members was nervous we were going to steal something! The woman asked if my husband needed help 4x in the span of 20 minutes. He stepped outside to get reception and when he returned, she says "back again, I see". He met up with me towards the back wanting to leave and then she came up to ask if she could hold our items up at the front, I guess because she thought we were in cahoots. The whole thing is extra hilarious because we could easily afford to buy the entire store 4x over. My one regret is that my husband didn't share his experience beforehand so that I wouldn't have given them my money. Lesson learned.

Every time I go in, there's always something new and interesting. And, invariably, there's at least one "I gotta have that." The owner, Shelly, is a jewel as well. She's funny and engaging. She clearly loves what she does and has unquestionable knack for selecting the right merchandise and presenting it well. She has an excellent eye for the unique without going over the top into 'weird'. I think she's as much curator as she is proprietor. I also appreciate the fact that much of merchandise comes from local & domestic artists and other small businesses. Even the stuff that is made overseas comes through small suppliers rather than the big distribution channels that bring in the same old stuff. If you've driven or walked by without stopping in, do yourself a favor and check it out. It won't cost a dime. Well, until you see that "I gotta have that" thing. But don't worry, she'll go easy on you.

She was very excited to get out and get some new clothes but was very disappointed when she got home. She came home and immediately started telling me that the women working there were rude and dismissive. She tried to make small talk and was ignored. Then despite spending several hundred dollars, overheard the two women begin talking shit about her as she was leaving. I hope the owner sees this and knows they are losing customers because of the snooty, rude, disrespectful staff they have there.

This is an outlet store so it has different clothes than the main LB stores. It's the same fashions, but different skus except for the Cacique (lingerie line). They also have jewelry, shoes, socks, and limited make up which is nail polish and gloss. A lot of great clothes here for the plus sized woman for work, a night out, exercise and casual wear. One of the sales people that asked to help me turned out to work at the same place I do during the day. We had a fun chat about that. All three of the sales people that helped me were friendly and not intrusive. I like my space when I'm shopping and if I want help I'll ask for it. I appreciate the fact that they knew this intuitively. Always check out the far back of the store of a LB as that is where the clearance racks are. I was not greeted by the associates & was not acknowledged due to my appearance. A couple came in & she proceeded to greet them & give them intensive attention but did paid no attention to me or my existence. I do not one to leave Yelp reviews about a place especially one of my favorite shops but Lorri B should be reconsidered for her position or have intense training on how to treat customers with the same respect.
