My daughter calls this the "everything" mall because there are so many options that the other local…read moremalls simply don't have. Ross Park Mall is a higher end shopping experience with many luxury brand stores but also a lot of trendy spots (like the Disney Store pop up). It also has a lot of family attractions like Build A Bear, Lego etc. And then the staple anchor stores. There are also many "ring" stores like Crate and Barrel, LL Bean and Cheesecake Factory. The food court has a lot of options you don't see in other places (like a potato restaurant with amazing french fries and a poke bowl place) but also has food court staples like pizza and chick fil a. There is a lot of parking, but depending on where you want to go in the mall, it can seem far to where your destination is. The lots are well lit and well kept, though. The mall itself has a lot of space for walking and the corridors are kept clean and well lit. Facilities run by the mall are also well maintained and stocked. Overall, there is a little bit of something for everyone and this is a great place to experience what a good mall actually is.

Pittsburgh does not have as many upscale malls as do larger cities, and I think that Ross Park Mall…read moreis the fanciest mall that we have. This indoor mall has two floors and over 150 stores. The anchor stores are Nordstrom, Macy's, JCPenney, and Dick's Sporting Goods. Luxury/designer stores include Burberry, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co., Kate Spade, and Tory Burch. The mall also has many lower-priced clothing stores, including American Eagle, Banana Republic, Buckle, Chico's, Express, GAP, H&M, Hollister, J.Crew, J.Jill, Levi's, LOFT, Madewell, PacSun, Victoria's Secret, White House Black Market, and Zumiez. Unfortunately, a few of my favorite clothing stores have closed since my previous review. Several other stores sell shoes and accessories, such as Coach, Foot Locker, Kay Jewelers, Lens Crafters, Pandora, Sunglass Hut, Swarovski, Tumi, VisionWorks, and Warby Parker. The mall also has electronics stores such as Apple and phone stores. Stores for home goods include Crate and Barrel, RH (formerly Restoration Hardware), Tempur-Pedic, and Williams-Sonoma. Current restaurants are Auntie Anne's, Cheesecake Factory, Plaza Azteca, Nordstrom Ruscello, several casual restaurants in the food court, etcetera. Unlike many other indoor malls, Ross Park Mall is not dead. Most store fronts are occupied, and only a few store fronts are empty and awaiting future retailers.

I came here with my mom and future mom in law to look for dresses for them for my wedding. The…read morestore has 4 floors- the basement are bridesmaid/mother of the bride/ homecoming/plus size dresses, second floor is work wear, third floor is prom and beach wear and 4th floor is bridal. They have a pretty good selection of everything, but I was honestly shocked about how expensive the work wear clothes were. Very pricey. The dress selection wasn't anything over the top exciting and what i didn't like was that if they don't have your size in a certain dress, they can't (or won't?) order it for you. So basically you have to choose from what they have in the store only. My mom found a dress she loved, but it wasn't her size. We tried to google the dress to order it somewhere else and we couldn't find it anywhere! Also, the salespeople in the mother of the bride section weren't very helpful at all. I was grabbing dresses for my moms and checking on them more than the sales lady was. Overall, I wouldn't return here to look for dresses. (We drove over an hour to check this place out). But I still gave it three stars because if you live out that way, you should check it out. Also because the store was very clean and organized and the lady in the bridal section was very helpful.

She acted the whole time like we were bothering her. She gave no helpful opinions, was not friendly and did not make this a nice experience. She just wanted us to be done and leave and kept saying this is the last dress you can try on and you have to be done. We weren't even there an hour and a half. Sorry winner we won't be buying our dress here because of her. You need to find better people to help your brides.

I may or may not have place settings for twenty-seven people. I never tire of the tent sales, factory tours, seconds room, main room, and so on. I haven't met a piece of Fiestaware I don't like. The folks who work here are so genuine, like the product they put out. A true family of employees with the same love and obsession as people like me. Homer Laughlin introduced Fiestaware in 1936 and I even have pieces that were my grandmother's. Annually they come out with a new color and I look forward to it every year. All pieces are made here in the factory in this small WV town about an hour from Pittsburgh. The dishes and accessories are durable and last decades. Pieces made between 1936-1972 were made with a radioactive red glaze (worth a fortune now for mad collectors like me). Fear not, the modern-day pieces are lead free. I'm an absolute maniac for Fiestaware and Homer Laughlin (actually have items from their other lines as well). Love love love love. Fiesta Forever!!

This review is limited in scope to the UPMC CoVid vaccine pop up clinic being held in the parking…read morelot of this mall. CoVid 19 vaccine eligibility is now open to all PA residents depending upon minimum age based on vaccine being given. My son had made an appointment last week for one of the drive through clinics and I went with him to see how they handle it. Although this clinic was originally supposed to give the J and J vaccine, with the temporary halt on administering that brand, they substituted Pfizer instead. All scheduled appts are being honored and they are taking "drive (walk) ins" if not previously set up. There are plenty of signs directing you to the main tent where you give your information to check in for the vaccine. After check in your car is redirected to a numbered lane where you drive down and on both sides they have people administering the vaccine. Once my son answered the required questions and provided ID they administered the first dose to him. He was given his vaccination card, literature to read, and a return appt for his 2nd dose. From there we drove to the post waiting area where we were directed into a certain lane of parked cars to wait out the necessary 15 minutes. A volunteer came along with a free tote bag with a few odds and ends and told him what he needed to do in case he had a reaction while on site. There's really no getting out of this line since cars are stopped before and behind you. They did have other lanes doing the same thing. After 15 minutes the line of cars was permitted to move on and with us giving the "thumbs up" we could go on our way. I was impressed with the fact that this event sponsored by both UPMC and the Pittsburgh Penguins was extremely well organized and wait times to get vaccinated was not overly long. UPMC plans to hold another clinic here the next day with the goal of getting 12,000 people vaccinated. I also liked the idea of just sitting in your car without having to get out ("vax and dash" I call it) which made the process go even more smoothly. Look for future clinics with UPMC as they hope to get more people vaccinated. We will return here in 3 weeks for his second dose.

Wow... what a difference a decade makes! I think it's one of the most vacant, still operating…read moremalls I've seen. Even worse than Parkway Center Mall circa the 1990s and Century III. The Malls of Western PA are on their way out. On one end is Macy's. And there were definitely more people working there than shopping there. The only other store worth going to is probably Dicks on the other end. Don't walk over for Dicks. Definitely drive over if you want Dicks. You can not get into Dicks from the mall. There's big steel door blocking Dicks. You can only get to Dicks from the outside entrance. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. There's a buffet near the Macy's Mall Entrance too, which really makes everything smell terrible. Think Chinese food left in your car when you go to Glenn's custard, and after you eat the custard and feel good, you get back in your car and it smells like someone farted. So you air out the car and it doesn't quite go away. And you get in the car the next day and you still smell it. It's almost like a hint of hot dog water after you boil hot dogs inside. It's not overpowering, but it's there. Well, that's what this end of the mall smells like. I think people still use it for exercise, but you can get your heart rate up just sitting here alone before closing. Maybe they'll film Night of the Living Dead's 60th anniversary here. This mall IS the living dead, so it's fitting (and local to the OG Living Dead mall). Even the Pittsburgh Pirates are more alive in the post-season run than this mall. The Steel Industry is more alive than this mall. There's a better chance Mario Lemieux will come back and play another season than this mall getting new life. Dennis Bowman and Chester Drawers will come back and do the weather on WPXI before this mall becomes worthy of another visit. If you slipped, and hurt yourself at this mall, sued them, and won, you'd get a Smiley Cookie. What a terrible terrible mall.
