Rice & peas --seasoned very well, cooked to perfection…read more Plaintains --cooked to perfection. Pickiliz --excuse my spelling hands down the best I've had since being in GA, only thing is the serving side. They need to offer in a side like the rice and peas. Pineapple Lemonade --very good definitely better with some Rum. Service was phenomenal --Zoie I believe. Issa food truck so the ambience is outside, no place to eat, plenty of parking. Updated - ordered 6/12 at around 4ish actually ordered dinners and meats What was ordered - Stewed chicken (Haitian style) with extra, gravy, Rice & peas and cabbage What we received - the picture above, no gravy, no cabbage What was ordered - Jerk chicken, rice & peas, Plaintains They initially made this order with cabbage and cabbage wasn't ordered and they removed it. Rice & peas today was dry and tasted like yesterday's rice reheated. Not a fan of the jerk chicken - no spice at all. Didn't taste like it was grilled. The also ran out of Lemonade. If they say "it comes with Plaintains" Order a side of plantations they only give 2 in an order. Also them having pikliz is a hit or miss so call ahead, also pikliz is only served by the, teaspoon in the small 1/2 oz condiment containers for 75cents With this new review they are losing a star taking them to 3.

I hate that this place was not good. I so wanted it to be. Whenever I try out a new Caribbean…read morerestaurant, I usually start with stew chicken because that's a basic dish, and if you can't get that right, then no need for me to go any further. I ordered a stew chicken lunch special that cost $14.29. As you can see from my pic, the chicken was raw because there's still redness around the bone. The cabbage was bland, and there were no fried plantains. Wow, so disappointed. The service was good, the establishment was clean, but the food needs to be improved.

I have very mixed emotions about this place. We visited this location twice. For the most part and…read moreon a good note, the food was really delicious. The problem is that we found human hair in the rice onto two separate occasions. The food was so good we thought maybe we would give them one more try hoping it was just a one time accident. However the second visit we experienced the same thing. Hair in the peas and rice. We were extremely disappointed because the taste of all the food was so good. But finding here in our meals on two separate occasions it's just a huge turn off. Both times it was in the peas and rice. So whoever is prepared in the peas and rice needs to be reminded to wear a cap and gloves and put their hair back or something. It has caused us not to want to return even though the majority of the other food was very very tasty. Our hearts were broken because we thought we had finally found a good Jamaican spot. But we just can't deal with hair in the food

On a recent trip to Douglasville, GA, my friend and I ate here for dinner. Well, we ordered online…read moreand picked it up to go, lol. Here are my thoughts: Pros: Decent prices, food cooked to order, heavy plates. Good flavors. Oxtails were cooked well and fell off the bone. Spicy. Cons: Jerk salmon was a little too saucy. Not a deal breaker but not what I was expecting. Spicy. Mac and cheese wasn't the best but not the worst, my friend said. Overall, I wanted to try a minority owned restaurant that had good reviews on Yelp. This was the spot I chose. Everything was good and if in the area, you definitely must try them out.
