He let me know the morning of when he was on his way and progress getting here (his commute was 90 minutes away). I got a quote for material and he offered to call and get a better price and then I called in to pay for it. What a kind gesture! He and his crew were timely and efficient. Eric explained the process and showed us what he was going to do. When he ran out of material, he got more and when he charged us for the material and trip, he didn't price gouge. The price was well within reason for the size of the project. Sherri stayed true to her initial quote. My project called for adding a new parking pad alongside my existing driveway. The team showed up on time and jumped right in grading the area being extremely careful not to damage burred TV/Internet cables and power lines (marked off by 811 survey team). The team communicated every step of the way with me, amongst themselves and the driver of the concrete mixing truck. The entire project was well-choreographed showcasing the team's professionalism and comfort with working together. Sherri was onsite overseeing the team adhering to my project requirements. After the work was done the job site was power washed and cleared of all stray concrete, loose gravel, dirt and lawn debris. After the required two days Sherri came back out and removed the wood forms, tidied up the flower beds and washed down the entire job site again.

James replied to my request from his Craigslist add to install a driveway on my property. He quoted me $1200 and they arrived the next day to start work. His 1 worker worked for 2 hours then James asked for the $1200, in which I paid him. Later he stated it will be a little more and asked for another $500 because it would require more work and another $500 later. He also stated I needed to rent a backhoe (Costing me$1800+) for the week so they can complete the work. The entire time he assured me this was the least expensive route and they could knock it out in a few days. I rented the equipment and in addition he then told me he had to have more money to buy a hammer for the bobcat to help break the rocks. I sent James an additional $620. I agreed to this because he already had the initial payment and would keep going with out it but advised him of my budget and I did not want to go over this new amount. They did not work even one full day over the course of a week. Instead they took numerous breaks talking, smoking(Ned). The 7 days totaled approximately 26 hours total that they worked on destroying the property. Instead of cutting the road forward, James back-filled my parking spot making it useless. I can not even park on property anymore. He initially told me he had to cut the road in another direction to do what I wanted so he NEVER even cut any of the road I paid for and left me with a mess. James and his employee Ned left in the middle of the job with no explanation or refund. He dodged every conversation with "I am coming in the morning". The work they did caused the rain to erode the dirt and mud washed out into the roadway twice causing me to get a fine from the county of $1000. James then told me he was coming to fix everything and take care of the fine at least 5 times and he did not show. When I confronted James by text message he stated he was in the hospital every time. This man is a crook. He was nice, well knowledgeable and talks a good game. I did not see this review in time. McCree Paving & Concrete got my job through another shyster, Brandon McDowell d.b.a Master Concrete, who also screwed me for even more money. These guys know each other (or are related somehow is my guess) and go around screwing people like me and other unsuspecting people. Walk, no run! Get far away from this company. Our price was far less than other estimates, and when they were done they actually did more and charged us a little less than the estimate because of some minor delays. They also got out and did it very soon after we told them we wanted their services. Many others had long waits before they could get to our job. They did additional services like a nicer than expected cleanup and addition of pine straw where they had to bring their machines and people between the houses. They got us pine bark where they had dug in to the ground and it was bare. They also did several French drains we didn't expect with the estimate. The reason others didn't want the job was because it is very narrow between the houses. They said they couldn't get their equipment through. Even the demo required a lot of manual labor to remove concrete blocks from the prior retaining wall and blocks from the prior patio because of the narrow area between the homes. Paul's crew found a way instead of a way out of taking on the job. It was hard work, and they did it quickly and efficiently. Our patio looks fantastic and the wall is perfect. (CDC) (fka Madewall Concrete) poured a large, 9-truck driveway for us in July 2021. We chose them specifically for their touted 10-year warranty, which they pitched as a testament to their superior workmanship. Unfortunately, I've discovered that this warranty appears only decorative. THE WORKMANSHIP: The initial results were "okay," but the red flags were there. They failed to trowel all of the edges and control joints, depriving the driveway of the polished look advertised on their website. By the time they asked if I was "okay" with this, the concrete had largely set. They offered a small discount, but the choice was an illusion. Combined with the crew leaving lunch trash across my property and uneven sections, it was clear that "attention to detail" wasn't the priority. THE WARRANTY GHOSTING: Fast forward to October 2025. While standard cracks are expected, we experienced significant structural failures: sections breaking into pieces, a 1/2-inch corner gap, and surface divots from trapped air pockets. I filed a warranty claim with photos. CDC acknowledged the warranty-related issues. Then, the silence began. I have spent the last ~7 months calling, emailing, and texting. Nothing. HOWEVER, I discovered a "cheat code" for their communication: Ask about a warranty repair: Silence. Inquire about a NEW project: They are on you like greased lightning! I actually have additional concrete work I need done, but I refuse to hand over more "new money" until their previous commitment is honored. Their refusal to respond to a valid claim while aggressively chasing new sales gives proof that their 10-year warranty may be a marketing gimmick, not a consumer protection. ADVICE TO OTHERS: If you hire CDC, do it for the price, but do not factor the warranty into your decision. Once they have your final check, they're gone.
