I am writing this on the day that I passed my driving test on the first try in Brooklyn, all thanks…read moreto the amazing and patient Erika (and with some help from Gus as well) from Revolution Driving School. TLDR - if you're a nervous or anxious driver, or have had difficulties with other instructors in the past, Erika is absolutely the one you should get started with. My apologies for the novel that's about to follow: To start off with, I am (or was), an incredibly nervous driver. While I had gotten my license by the skin of my teeth back in 2018, I developed a severe phobia after a bad experience on a highway and let my license lapse, not realizing that if your license is expired for more than two years, you can't just renew it - you have to take the whole road test again. When I learned this, I became so nervous that I started having insomnia and couldn't fall asleep - that's how nervous I was thinking about getting back on the road again. After completing my permit, I worked up the courage to book a lesson with Erika. Now, I've had my fair share of bad driving instructors - they often are gruff, not that great at teaching or explaining, and not great at making you feel comfortable or relaxed. Erika is the exact opposite. She is warm and supportive, without being overly so - you never feel like you have to put on a show for Erika. The day of my first lesson I woke up with full body chills and nerves, but I immediately felt at ease with Erika when I was in the car during my first lesson and knew I made the right decision booking lesson with her. Slowly but surely with each lesson with Erika, I got more confident behind the wheel. She positively reinforces when you do something well, and explains patiently where you can improve. She also steadily increases your abilities over time, slowly taking on new things like driving in a different neighborhood or on a busy street, without rushing you into something that can feel difficult. Since parallel parking is my achilles heel, she made sure to spend extra time walking me through this during our lessons. Leading up to my road test I also decided to take a couple extra lessons with Gus, who only just recently became available again for lessons. Gus has a very different demeanor than Erika - more reserved - and so while he may not be the best person to take a first lesson with if you are extremely nervous and anxious like me, I did find my lessons with Gus to be helpful and so the combination of working with both of them made me feel doubly prepared. On the day of my road test, Erika had the perfect demeanor. She made me feel assured, but never put undue pressure on me - she struck the right balance of being supportive without having that become a stressor in and of itself. She answered all my last minute nervous questions ("Can you walk me through again what to do if I think I'm going to hit the curb while parallel parking? What if I'm too wide?"), without ever making me feel bad about it. I was blessed with a clear day and relatively empty roads, but regardless of the good conditions I know I can owe the credit of my passing mostly to the patience and guidance of Erika. She is truly life changing - she changed me from an incredibly nervous driver who would break down into a ball of nerves even thinking about being behind the wheel, to a confident driver who according to my evaluator, did a "perfect" parallel park - something that I would NEVER have thought in a million years I would hear anyone say. All told, I did 13 lessons before my road test - 9 with Erika and 4 with Gus. While it's possible a less nervous driver could have done less (by my 10th lesson everything really started to click), I'm glad I did those extra lessons to make me feel fully prepared. I highly recommend Revolution Driving School, and Erika in particular, to anyone who is nervous or anxious about driving. While of course what happens on road test day is your responsibility, you will feel so prepared working with them. I can never thank them enough for giving me my confidence back!!

As a new driver, this driving school definitely boosted my confidence and driving skills. I used to be a really nervous driver but the instructors were really patient in helping me overcome that. I really appreciate how both instructors start out the lesson (whether that is city driving lesson or highway driving lesson) by asking me what I want to work / focus on. If I say I want to practice more parallel parking, they would be sure to incorporate that into the duration of the lesson. I also really appreciate how both instructors provide tips and feedback throughout the lesson or at the end of the lesson to help me improve and become a better driver. Both instructors are really knowledgeable and professional. I've definitely learned a lot from them and can't recommend them enough.

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Would Not Recommend…read more We spent 15 hours with US One Driving School and unfortunately had a very poor experience. During lessons, the instructor Adrian was often on their phone and gave little to no feedback while my wife was driving. This made it hard for her to actually improve or know what to correct. We later had a different instructor, Bryce, who was great -- attentive, communicative, and professional -- which showed us how big the difference in quality can be between instructors here. As part of the $1200 package we purchased, the school promised a Simulated Road Test Lesson, but my wife never received it. When we raised these concerns and asked that the fees be adjusted given the missing portion of the package and lack of instruction quality, the office refused, simply saying that Adrian had "been teaching for two years." To me, this felt like a breach of contract -- we didn't receive the service that was advertised, and there was no accountability when we brought it up. I strongly do not recommend US One Driving School, especially for anyone looking for consistent instruction or reliable communication. There are better schools out there that actually value their students' time and investment. We would appreciate either: 1. A retest next week that we do not need to pay with a different instructor 2. Otherwise we'd need to contest the payment via credit card

I'm glad I did because the whole process was efficient and stress-free. I got the road test package which included the 5-hr prelicensing course (MV-278), car rental, road test appointment and 1.5 hr simulated road test driving lesson for $275. I also got an additional 1 hr car lesson because I've never driven before in the US. My driving instructor for both the 1 hr lesson and the simulated road test driving lesson was Zoe. She was amazing because she made me feel comfortable by conversing and helped pinpoint how to fix mistakes I was making. She was very patient as well. Overall, very thankful for her help. Their customer service was also really good because they were easy to contact through both phone calls and email. They also sent out reminders about upcoming lessons/road test appointment. (Passed on first road test)

My driving instructor, Frank Dao, is hands down the best instructor I have ever had. After going through multiple instructors at another driving school who never took the time to explain my weaknesses or how to improve, working with Frank was a game changer. He clearly explains mistakes, makes sure you understand how to correct them, and gives detailed, practical tips for everything, from mastering turns to parallel parking. Thanks to Gold Success and Frank's incredible instruction, I passed my road test, and I am truly grateful. I couldn't recommend them more!

If you carefully follow and study his instructions, you will be well-prepared. I was extremely nervous throughout the process and honestly did not think I would pass but I did, all thanks to Frank (especially after failing my first road test 10 years ago). The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because my first assigned instructor was very unprofessional and did not take the lesson seriously. At the end of the lesson, he even asked if he could call me, which felt inappropriate and left me with nothing learned. I contacted the receptionist, explained the situation, and asked to be reassigned, which is when I was paired with Frank. While I was grateful for the switch, I do feel the school should have provided me with a makeup lesson since my first one was a complete waste of time. That said, I'm very glad that with only 4 lessons, I was able to absorb enough from Frank to pass my test. I do believe that if I had been given a proper makeup lesson with him, I might have finished with fewer points deducted.

I implore you to read my review in its entirety; I believe I'll make some really good points and convince you to consider this school. Your goal should be attending an accredited school that will give you the paperwork (certificate) you need in order to take the registry exam, and that is it. It's not about "the best of the best" school, or the one with the top accreditation. All you should be caring about is the school that is going to get you to the point that matters, which is the registry exam, and a school that will provide appropriate clinical rotations. Look no further, this school has everything (except good machines, more on that later). Firstly, Dr. Nand is the president and owner of this establishment. He maintains the Council on Occupational Education, which is an accreditation accepted by the ARDMS. He also has plentiful connections with almost all hospitals, and can get you into the really good hospitals for your clinical rotations (i.e. NY-Pres Columbia). He's also the SWEETEST man alive, and is genuine for your well being. He is there to help, he wants you to do well. Other schools have accreditation in CAAHEP, which is a well known accreditation. But be warned, schools with this type of accreditation have tuition fees of $65K+. Can you afford that? I chose NYMedCareerTrainingCntr for many reason, and it was the cost of the school that was the most appealing, to be honest. When I attended, the full program cost me $29K. This fee may increase due to economy-related issues and rent/insurance costs, etc. But that is a big plus. They also have payment plans. Tuition includes your uniform, and textbooks. Did you hear me?? TUITION INCLUDES YOUR UNIFORM AND TEXTBOOKS!! All other schools make you pay for your textbooks separate (and the uniform as well), and these books are $200 each. You are saving A LOT of money. Please note, you will have to pay your tuition in full before you start your clinical rotations. --Edit: I apparently ran out of space because I rambled. If anyone has a question regarding this school, I'm more than happy to share my experience. just message me-- I'll continue my review but make it ultra condensed since there is a word limit here. Now, a BIG plus... when you finally get to clinicals and have keep to a log of what you scanned, all you have to do it write the date, time, and a one-word description on the type of scans you did. THAT'S IT! Many other schools will force you to write a full description of each patient you see and/or need proof of this. Many school will require you to scan a certain amount of arteries/veins in order to graduate. You might think that's actually a good thing. No it's not. Because in the real world, when you start your clinicals, you may not get to see patients for arteries/veins. You may not get to see liver transplants. It depends on your site. You want the school to delay your graduation because you didn't see enough echo, head, or TCD? Complete your sheet, send them it, call it a day. I wish the school clarified how to have your CV signed, which is paperwork required to take the ARDMS. If you want to take your registry in vascular, you'll have to have a tech licensed in RVT to sign your CV... so this means, don't pick a clinical site that focuses on pediatric if your goal is to get an RVT because the likelihood of the technicians there that have and RVT are slim, and you will not be able to take your RVT registry due to the missing signature for a licensed tech... so be mindful of the sites you choose. Some negatives with this school: Machines are garbage, and there was a lot of cheating going on with no repercussion for these students. I was outraged by this. Sangay, the man responsible for finding you a clinical site, moves at the pace of snails. So you'll have to stay on top of him. There is no echo in this school :( And yes, I graduated this great school, was prepared enough to earn my ARDMS in abdomen, and I now work in a hospital. Dr. Ayub, if you're reading this, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! I'll always remember you! Wishing you and Dr. Nand, the best of health.
