    Tomato mozerella sandwich
    Dana H.

Cute coffee shop. Vintage interior with plenty of antique couches and chairs. No laptops allowed. Only two sandwich options but the tomato mozzarella was delicious! Drinks kind of took a while because there was only one person working but he prepared a beautiful cappuccino. Overall a good experience! Would recommend.

Typisch neukölln. Very positive place! Nice colors, and beautiful sky blue accents, like the nice cups!

    Iced latte- delicious!

Wow. Vux is located a short walk from my flat and I am astounded it has taken me this long to…read morefinally try it. The verdict: nothing short of amazing. The bagel sandwiches are reasonably priced and loaded with all sorts of goodies. Mine came with seitan, a spicy-fruit habanero-mango sauce, veggies and fake cheese. It was perfectly spicy and filling, and a complete step up from the generic "bagel with hummus and sprouts" that I'm typically limited to in American cafes. The coffee I had along with my meal was normal, which means it was good, and came with a small coconut-y cookie, which pleased me, because normally I can't eat the cookies that come with coffee. For dessert I had a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting. For the pricetag of 2,50 the cupcake itself was pretty standard - similar to every vegan cupcake I've tried or made. But the frosting was out-of-this-world delicious. I think frosting shots are stupid but I totally would have bought one if Vux sold them. The location itself is great. Small and cozy and clean inside, with a couple additional tables outside on a quiet street. The only thing keeping this cafe from five stars are subsequent visits.

Nooo, what a deceiving place or maybe I got the wrong cake? But for someone who loves sugar the…read morecake I got was WAY too sweet! The girl was also kind of awkward with me- xenophobic? Who knows, maybe she was having a bad day. I'd like to kindly understand her but even after my meal upon paying she rudely raised her voice at the price which I misunderstood at first but I was totally polite and even tipped. My smoothie came with a hair on it, but that was actually delicious!!!! The smoothie, not the hair. Amazing and well priced smoothies for the quality and size, my cake not so good and customer service bad, which is why I am only giving this one star. Be nice :/

Nursing a drink or a coffee (sandwich, soup, or delicious baked good completely optional but…read morerecommended) in a spacious hipster chic venue (à la your grandmother's living room), laptop in tow, hoping to get some work done? Don't worry, this isn't Mitte. This is Neukölln, so you'll definitely find a seat where you can type away in peace. And much like Berlin, Prachtwerk is whatever you want it to be. I've stopped by whenever I wanted a relaxing place to work with friends--the fact that you can buy food and alcohol makes the work go by even quicker! +1 for the city's freewheeling, entrepreneurial spirit because if my experiences are anything to go by, no one at Prachtwerk will raise an eye if you 1. order a cocktail in the early afternoon or 2. hunker down for a few hours. I found the drink prices to be relatively standard for Berlin as a whole, but they might be a little expensive for Neukölln: €7 for the Adult Lemonade (lavender lemonade with either gin or vodka) and €6.50 for a gin and tonic. Chase it down with a slice of one of their delicious cheesecakes. (I'm partial to the Oreo one.) Hint: grab a seat on one of the elevated couches that overlook the stage at the end of the venue. There are regular events that take place in the evenings so you can wrap up your daytime work and ease your way into nighttime festivities without having to find a new seat!

The cafe is in an old building with high ceiling. A pretty good venue for music I reckon. The price…read moreis reasonable, staff friendly and it has free wifi. A good place to work and chat with friends. However the espresso we ordered was sour. A sour espresso is a classic sign that the beans are either too coarse or over-extracted. It was almost undrinkable. The beans really should have been thrown out.
