Moving has got to be one of the worst most stressful experiences a family can go through. We all know, we all agree. BUT if you use Let's Move It Right - I can tell you that a lot of that stress is alleviated so much. I've worked exclusively with David and his team for years (4 moves now?) In fact this last move was after over 10 years of not moving and he was my first and only call. The movers are amazing - I know some of them from the last few moves I've had and truly that means a lot. True professionals do the job even better. They not only helped pack - they knew I'd be looking for the school bags and made sure I had them in hand while in a sea of boxes (lunch bags and water bottles included). They were super chill about how disorganized I was (this was an unplanned move) and it did not bother them. They went above and beyond to make me feel better because at some point I just gave up and they did not. They moved everything with grace and generosity of spirit and nothing broke (I mean what they touched - I broke something "helping them") The moving team was so supportive - excellent ideas on where to place things, what to put where; and when I was decisioned out - they helped. I hired them for an interstate move. My items were picked up at the end of June. It is now almost the end of October and I still do not have my stuff. I have repeatedly contacted them for information on where my items were and when I would actually get them. I was repeatedly told it was going to just be a couple of days. I kept getting this answer for a month. My items also did not ship for almost 2 months after pick up and I have a feeling it was only shipped because I inquired about it. I am now being told by the company that I will have to pay more for my items to be delivered as they have to change trucks in order to deliver. I hired them to move from Hawaii to Florida. Informed me of the size container my items were to be transported in. Also told me that I needed to pack the items myself. They arrived for pickup with a U-haul and stored items loosely inside. Not in a (200 CUBIC FEET, 7`x 6`x 5`) container as stated. When my items arrived in Florida, they were transported loosely in the back of a 16 wheeler. Boxes, ladders and other items had moved, shifted and fallen. This damaged several boxes and other items. Pictures were taken prior to unloading of the damaged boxes. Individual pictures were take of the boxes and the damaged items inside. Some of the items were in hard plastic boxes that were also damaged and broken. Their response was: The carrier is not responsible for any damage to fragile items unless they were packed and unpacked by its employees. Since the carrier did not pack or unpack any cartons, the driver would not know the contents or condition of the items. As a result, the carrier cannot be held liable for any damage to fragile items during transportation. It is the shipper's responsibility to ensure that fragile items are properly packed and protected before handing them over to the carrier for transportation. So when the carrier crushes and damages the boxes due to improper handling, it is not considered their fault. read more

Do not trust this company, especially if you are moving from Hawaii. They lost all of our belongings. We never received any kind of compensation or even our deposit back. This included very sentimental items, everything that we were moving back to Las Vegas with (10 Boxes). We still can't afford to replace everything we lost and some of it never can be, including items from my grandparents. We were using Hawaiian Shippers, which we now know is a farce company, but Let's Move it Right was who lost our belongings. David probably owns that company too. I still feel sick about this every day. I will never be over it. Update on my review from Jan 20, 2023: We were in CA so we decided to visit Let's Move it Right's warehouse (this is the vendor Hawaiian Shippers uses and they share office space.) We were told that our boxes had been there but were no longer able to be located. David was also incredibly rude, though he knew exactly who we were. They said that the boxes could have been put mistakenly into someone else's storage crates, either there, in Las Vegas, or in Texas. They promised to open the crates and see if our boxes were there. After weeks of calling and emailing, I finally received an email reply, "Unfortunately we have been unable to locate the boxes. At this point the only thing we can do is request Hawaiian shippers refund the deposit. If the boxes ever do turn up again, we will reach out and get them to you asap." So that's it. All of our belongings are gone, without even an apology. We had some deeply sentimental items in those boxes. I am heartbroken and nauseous over it. From Oct 25, 2022: We were moving from the Big Island to Las Vegas and Hawaiian Shippers seemed like a legit company to ship with. We only had 10 boxes. Jen was friendly and made everything sound easy. We paid the 10% deposit to buy space on someone's container and scheduled our drop-off. On the drop-off day, we were told that the container we purchased space on filled up, but that they would receive our items and store them until a container is available. So we dropped our boxes off on November 15, 2021, before flying out. (The moving guys were very friendly.) Three months went by with no communication, so I started calling to see if they had found space on a container yet. Emails became completely unresponsive, calls were never returned. I started calling periodically and it wasn't until February that someone finally told me that our boxes had shipped. We were told, "the next time you'll hear from us will be when your boxes arrive in Long Beach." Another couple of months went by and we started calling again. We got ahold of people sometimes, but they'd put us on hold and disconnect or give us a name and email address to contact someone who would never reply. Finally, in May of 2022, I reached a man who called around and found out that our boxes had arrived in Long Beach months prior, but the container we bought space on was flagged and searched, so everything was mixed up. He said it would be sorted the first week of June, and that I would receive a call to pick them up shortly after. It is now the end of October 2022 and I have been ignored every time that I have called and emailed since June. We still have not received our belongings or any updates. I have found several phone numbers and emails for this company and have tried them all, and my calls still go answered or unreturned. I am at a loss. I've been spending more money replacing items I've needed over nearly a YEAR. I've filed a BBB complaint (which Hawaiian Shippers has also ignored) but thought Yelp needed to know, too. read more

When I first called/ talked to Mark Morales of Let's Move it Right Hawaii, he was engaging, & spent what I considered a significant amount of time with me explaining the process & cost. My household goods were picked up from my home in Kapolei on Sept.23, 2024, to be shipped/ moved to Cedar Hill Texas. It is now Nov.15, 2024 and I still don't have my goods. FYI: my car was dropped off at Matson Pier on Oct. 14 ( another company handled my car shipment) it arrived at Cedar Hill after 2 weeks and 3 days. shipped. Why is it that my car can arrive at my city in 2 weeks & 3 days after dropping it off at Matson Pier, but my goods takes almost 2 months and I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM MARK MORALES??? Do NOT use this company. In addition, the ONE mover who arrived to haul 25 boxes plus a Kirby vacuum cleaner & ironing board came in a UHaul truck, ( apparently rented) had No hand truck and (I had to look in my son-in-laws garage to see if they had one) I was told by Mark that he'd bring supplies to wrap my ironing board & vaccume cleaner. The mover didn't bring/ have ANY SUPPLIES. Fortunately, I had kept large moving paper wrapping materials, I had my own packing tape & we ended up using what I had to wrap these 2 items. I was moving from minnesotta to hawaii. Over the phone they told me everything i want to hear they were nice promised me the best customer care for my less than 500sq of goods to be transported. But the service was a nightmare mark only returned my calls when he wanted my money my items arrived way later than expected. Some of my items were severely damage some were not present at all despite being on a huge detailed itemized check list they claimed to have initially recieved. Months and month later I was given a measly compensation of less than a hundred dollars for missing and damaged goods. I was trying to save a little mo ey and I will never do this again if you are considering this option use pod shipping instead. I have never had a worse moving expierence in my life. The mover has the ability to accept an extended time frame for claims if they choose to do so. Jen assured me with our circumstances that she would extend our claim time. When it came time to actually do that and allow the claim to be filed, she did not extend the claim time for us. David you guys made no effort at all to make things right, despite losing multiple pieces and damaging others. You made $28 k from our move then left us with no compensation for failures on your part. No excuse for that at all, you don't stand by your company or your customers. I did not expect to get a response from my Yelp review, but the moving company contacted me very promptly after the move as a follow up and were not defensive at all. No excuses, just genuine interest on why the low review and what had happened. *** We had a move planned for a specific date, and Tom with Let's Move It Right was kind enough to be completely flexible with us about the date, even after we had to move the date to the next month. My only qualm with this was the fact that the prices went up from $120/hour to $125/hour somehow within the couple of weeks that I changed the dates. We had scheduled a move with three movers from the company, and they showed up right on time at 8 am. The company has a four-hour minimum and I was sure we could get everything moved in that time. We were moving only 15 minutes away and into a similar-sized two bedroom smaller home. Throughout the move it was pretty clear that we would only see about two of the three movers actually moving. It took about 30 minutes for one single bed base to get picked up. The car ride to the new house was a little longer than expected, but everything arrived in one piece. When the movers had FIRST arrived at our old place in the morning I had been VERY clear that the hardwood floors at the new house needed to be protected, as we had JUST finished them two days before. And what happens when the first appliance is moved in?? The floor is scratched...BADLY. No apologies, no acknowledgement of the scratches, just walking away laughing and talking in Spanish. At that point I just wanted them to get everything into the house and not scratch the floors any more than they already had. When everything was finally moved in, I was charged for...wait for it...30 extra minutes...wow, so shocked! Additionally, I was charged $60 for materials and packing supplies. Now, here's the REAL kicker. After the whole move-in was complete, and my bill was already at $122.50 more than I was expecting...one of the movers had the nerve to tell my husband that they wanted "to be taken care of individually". Communication needs to be better and more clear and customer care needs to be taken more seriously. Don't force overtime. Everything was fine until AFTER we paid in full for our move, then everything went to hell. Our container of goods has been sitting on a pier in Honolulu for over 30 days baking in the heat. Let's Movie it Wrong contends the problem is Matson Shipping and NOT their own total failure to stay on top of the shipping. We were told our goods were to be shipped at the same time as our truck, but that was not true, and we were NOT informed of any delivery change until weeks later when we asked "where are our goods???" They claimed to "do us a favor" and ship our truck "at cost." When the truck driver delivered the truck, he yelled at us in a language we could not understand. The truck driver "could say" "NO charge card, no check, no money order CASH ONLY CASH!!! We have enough experience to know this tactic is a tax evasion tactic. We had to call the police who told us to take the truck. We were sure we had paid 100% for the truck shipping, and gave Let's Move it Wrong our charge car account, but they did NOT charge us for the whole bill; but we took care of that in less than 2 days, but the truck driver who delivered the truck still has a key to the truck, and Let's Move it Wrong has NOT acquired that key and returned it to us as requested. Our life is more or less in the hands of the Let's Move it Wrong, and we are deeply concerned they will continue they will betray our trust and deny all responsibility. They professed in word but not writing to have good relations with Matson, but now that relationship seems to be a dream and NOT reality. Yes, they talk a GOOD story, but as of today, that is ALL they have done--NOW that they have our computers, art work, music instruments, clothes, tools, documents, etc. etc etc etc etc, the company acts as if we were "suckers" for NOT seeing through their apparent deception. If by chance they deliver our goods in the same condition as the UNDAMAGED condition in which they were crammed into the shipping container, I will write another review. Last night I had violent nightmares in which Let's Move it Wrong employees were seriously injured by people getting revenge for us who had previous bad experiences with the same employees. I did call their 800 number and left an out of character angry message, very out of character, but it was short and non-threatening. They seem to think they are untouchable and can get away with anything. Their behavior, AFTER BEING PAID IN FULL, seems to indicate they have ulterior motives for people they "do not like" for reasons rooted in their immaturity and selfish greedy arrogant vanity; as in selling goods to places like "Abandoned Freight." We did not pay them to cheat us and steal from us. If they come through and deliver our goods in the same condition as when they picked them up, I will write another review. If I could give 0 stars today I would. At the outset, the crew was 2 hours late due to an issue with their truck, the company, Tom was kind enough to send 3 men to make up for this delay. Unfortunately that's where the good experience ended - the team had no leader. There was one person on my crew of 3 who actually cared for our belongings, and did a nice job of protecting our stuff. The man who actually cared and brought the first dresser down used the dolly. The other two dragged a clothed dresser down my brand new staircase, creating scratches on the treads without using a dolly or lifting it. Like children drag toys. I asked repeatedly for them to protect our floors and they didn't listen. After calling management, spoke with a man named David who patronized me about my concerns, and belittled me. I did not have them pack boxes but just move large items. They worked nonstop and quickly and they finished faster than I anticipated. I needed to schedule another move from one side of LA to the other and hired them again. Because I was a prior customer, no deposit was required. Nice. This was a bigger move. Again, I did not have them pack boxes. Again, they worked tirelessly and quickly. I was very happy with my recent move from LA to OC. Tom was very helpful and accommodating my schedule and supplying more than enough free wardrobe boxes. It was a father and son team, Liko and Markitos, that did my move. They were both very kind and took extra care in making sure everything was loaded properly. I didn't have a single scrape on or anything break with any of my stuff. Liko told me right away that to safely transport my items, he would need to wrap them in cellophane. It was an additional $50 cost for my one bedroom apartment, but was worth it to not have anything damaged or get dirty. Highly recommend! read more

Best moving experience I could ask for! We usually move ourselves but with a baby on the way we were down a person so I called around town seeking quotes (at least 6). Tom from Lets Move It was the first to reply and provided every bit of information we needed and answered all of my questions. He was knowledgeable, professional and prompt with any follow up questions I had, he would respond super quick. No BS, no going back and forth, he knew what he was talking about unlike other companies who would quote and then give me the run around. We decided to go with them and know we made the best decision. On the day of the move, he stated his team would be there between 8-9am and boy were they there on time! I am extremely satisfied, repeat customer who has used Let's Move It Right 3 times now -- twice for myself (from the Valley to Huntington Beach, then back again), and -- most recently -- to help out a dear friend, since I was out-of-state for her relocation and wouldn't be able to assist her. I knew that she would be in great hands with Let's Move It Right, and they did not disappoint us. :-) I made a couple of special requests beforehand, and Tom assured me that Let's Move It Right would be able to accommodate them. Since I couldn't be there physically to do the "manly man" stuff before or after the move, I needed help taking apart and later re-assembling her canopy bed. They did that. No additional fee. (Although we tipped well.) My friend also needed help taking down her wall-mounted TV. I was prepared to pay an extra hundred bucks for an outside service to do that, but Let's Move It Right said that they could do it, and they did an amazing job. Reviewing her "after" photos, once the TV was down, the wall looked great; calmed my worries about causing an incident with getting her security deposit back. I honestly think the pro TV mounting people couldn't have done much better. (Still need to get the TV re-mounted at the new location, but it was great not needing to pay the TV mounting people on both ends of the move.) My friend raved about how courteous and kind the movers were. They treated her like a princess. She needed a fair amount of packing assistance, and they were extremely careful to protect all of her items as if those items were their own. The whole operation was handled in a very neat and tidy way, as my friend described it. On my end (as the person paying for the move), Let's Move It Right was true to their quote/estimates, and I found the whole operation to be very reasonably priced. We had a couple of hiccups with our move date in flux because the new place wasn't quite ready, and Let's Move It Right was very understanding. I highly recommend Let's Move It Right and I'm glad to spread the word that this is a reliable, reputable company in a (sometimes) shaky industry. From my initial calls to the "large national movers", who did not spend much time with me answering my questions, I knew Mark from Let's Move It Right would work for us. Our experience with this moving company was pretty horrible. The only positive thing I can say is about the actual movers - who packed up our things; they were wonderful, but I believe they didn't work directly for the company (i.e., they were contractors). The company continuously lied, never returned any calls or emails and grossly overcharged us. They should change their name to "Let's Move it Wrong." For starters, the original estimate they gave us for our move was $4500, a storage fee of $195/month with the first month waived. After they packed up our things, we were astonished to received the revised cost of $9500. We were initially told the price "may" be a little higher, based on the amount of things we had, but Mark said "by a few hundred dollars." The made us pay a $5000 deposit to take our things to storage and we had no other choice (the truck was already fully packed up) so we did. Fast forward to the next month, and we receive an invoice for storage fee of $395 per month and a threat if it's not paid they will auction off our things - and remember this is after we paid a $5500 deposit (when we booked them we paid a $500 deposit). After finally getting a hold of someone, they agreed to lower the monthly storage fee to $285/month and to deduct this fee from the balance. So original plan was to move cross country - but keep our things in storage temporarily. After the astronomical revised estimate, we decided to have a different moving company move our things - but we kept our things at their facility for 5 months, even though they lied to us after the storage fee and now told us the first month of storage is no longer free. I received a letter in writing from Mark that they would refund us $2340 once our items were picked up, however, in reality, they should have refunded us $2985 based on their original estimates. A few days after our things were picked up we received a refund of $2100!?!? No explanation on the reduced refund. Nothing. We have tried multiple times to contact them via both email and phone and no response and no return calls. read more

Very unprofessional. Scheduled a move well in advance (1 month) and was called up days before to say that they have an auction to service and will not be able to honor the schedule as all their staff will be diverted to the "new project". Pros will always honor their word no matter how small the project is. They do not care about the customers, they only care about their bottom dollar. Now we are stuck trying to schedule last minute. Moving is excruciating, right? All those horrible boxes to pack, endless phone calls to make to change your address, get new checks, cancel the phone, electricity, gas, etc., etc. And THEN, moving day! A bunch of burly men will arrive and trundle all your belongings onto their van, and you HOPE they don't drop your grandmother's dishes and your Tiffany lamp, right? Well, have I got great movers for you! Exceptional. Let's Move It in San Fernando had other great reviews on Yelp, so I chose them to move me from West Hills to Auburn (east of Sacramento). They were fabulous. Tom Franck, the calm and knowledgable manager, was able to estimate the size and weight of my belongings without ever seeing them. The head mover Ergan is exceptional. Smiling, energetic, so meticulous with all of my things. They (4 men) loaded a 28- foot truck in about 3&1/2 hours. Ergan and one helper showed up the next afternoon and flawlessly unloaded that van and never dropped or damaged a thing. And smiled the whole time. read more
