Mark was an incredible DJ for our wedding and throughout the entire wedding process! During the lead up to the wedding, Mark was super responsive, collaborative, and helpful in planning and making sure everything was in place. He definitely helped take some stress off our shoulders. He let us help dictate the music, including what types of music we wanted, a "don't play" list, and a short list of "must play" songs. On the day of, all the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner were spot on, and then the dance was so much fun!! Mark helped bring so much energy to the dance floor and pretty much built the dance floor from scratch with a well-curated list of songs that got everybody on the dance floor and energetic! My wife and I were supposed to be married in 2020 and had lined Mark up for our wedding back in 2019. Well, 2020 decided to throw everything out the window and make everything as challenging as possible for the wedding. But! Mark was there with us every step and was very understanding and worked with us with no pushback or issue. He is super friendly, easy going, and listened to our tastes and made an awesome playlist. Mark was the PERFECT DJ for our Whidbey Wedding! He was an essential part of everyone having a great time, as he did a masterful job of emcee'ing the whole evening from the second the ceremony ended through dinner to the last dance. He was energetic and fun without being a distraction or trying to steal the show, which we really appreciated. Mark was a pleasure to work with, from the time we first interviewed with him, to all the planning, and through the entire wedding day/night. He helped us figure out what we wanted and made sure it all happened. His mics and speakers worked great, both outdoors and inside, for both speaking occasions and during music. And I must say, added his lighting setup on a whim and it turned out that it totally transformed our reception venue, from a campground rec hall into what looked and felt like a downtown club/bar/lounge, which we LOVED! Everything was easy with Mark, he asked a few questions and we provided some ideas of the songs we liked and he took care of the rest. He was able to seamlessly transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner to magic moments to late night dancing, all while capturing the distinct musical vibes we were looking for at each setting. We haven't thrown many parties before, but we looked around for our wedding and were so happy that we found DJ Mark. He was extremely helpful when we came to him, the terrible planners we are. He guided us through all of the music and dance and timing things that we hadn't even thought about yet. He was super friendly and helpful. During the wedding, he was also fantastic. He was right on time. Setup the primary speaker quickly and then setup his secondary set near the ceremony space. The ceremony music went off without a hitch and was perfectly timed and then the reception was fantastic. Our family danced constantly all night. From grandparents to parents, to friends, to kids, everyone had music that worked for them and made them move. Multiple guests mentioned they loved Mark and I would no doubt hire him again. Mark was the DJ for our wedding this past July, he does absolutely AMAZING work! Everyone (including the gma's and gpa's) were moving on the dance floor. He was very accommodating the day of when I asked him to add a song into our ceremony last minute. He was a huge part of making our wedding day so incredibly special. DJ Mark rocks! Our wedding reception was so much fun...Mark made sure the dance floor was pumping until the very last minute! Several guests told me it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to! My husband and I are very passionate about music and Mark was terrific about playing songs that he knew we would like (we gave him a list of some of our favorites to give him a feel for our taste). If your biggest fear is hiring some super cheesy DJ who only plays wedding classics and talks too much, then look no further...you have nothing to worry about with DJ Mark! I should also mention how professional and well organized DJ Mark is. He interviewed us over the phone a few months before the big day to make sure he understood our vision for the evening, and he helped us think through a good order of events for the reception. He emailed us again about final logistics a few days before, and on the day of, he arrived early to set up. He even let us use his computer to project a slide show during the cocktail hour. My dad said that he appreciated that Mark came over to him to give him a 5 minute warning before the "Father of the Bride" toast so that he could mentally prepare for the moment. Short version: Awesome and highly recommended experience!!! Longhand: We hired DJ Mark, of 'Let's Dance DJ's, and couldn't be happier! Our dance floor was rocking from the moment the parents dances ended, until the end. I've never actually seen that many people get up and dance that instantaneously. The best times I've had at other weddings were when the dance floor was a riot, and we were hoping for that feeling. We definitely got what we were looking for. Mark was super easy to work with. We had the wedding on North Whidbey Island, but planned it from Northern California. He was readily available via email, and was easy to talk to on the phone. He gave us song suggestions for ceremony, cocktail, first dance, parents dance, and great dance floor music, etc. He met us at the garden venue a week before to get acquainted, get the lay of the land, and to go over the progression of things for the wedding/reception. He was super open as far as the emceeing went. Offered to do all of it, split it up with another master of ceremonies, or leave it entirely in our hands. He had a second, wireless mic, and sound set-up that we were able to have on one side of the home for the ceremony, while the main sound equipment he came early and readied on the opposite side o the house, by the dinner and dance floor. Everything went smoothly. He took any song choices we wanted and we took full advantage. He totally customized our entire day/night of music. In the months before, we made lists of our favorite songs, and when to be played. And he played all of them. All but a few that we weren't able to get to because of time constraints.
