Expect to pay a bit more for stuff, but that's attributed to the remote location. The couple who run the place are friendly, and really have a good gig going on here. Our neighbors up here say, during off-season, they make full take-home meals, and they're great. We'll have to try that someday, when we don't feel like cookin'. I'll always support folks who put that kind of effort in their livelihood. Note: The Yelp map/location is whacked. Not only do they make great coffees, they have sandwiches, ice creams and DONUTS! We were camping next door and walked up. The owner came out to greet us. This being the off-season, it was rather easy for him to do so. After taking our orders for coffees, a maple bar and apple fritter, he invited us to enjoy some cornhole they have set up there on the premises. They also have a few picnic tables to sit at as well. Within a few moments our items were ready. The coffee was great; just enough flavoring without being sickly sweet. The pastries were exceptionally good, too. I don't know if they make them or bring them from elsewhere but, with a nice latte and stunning views of Lake Roosevelt, you can't go wrong. As mentioned, service is top drawer and prices are decent. We may have to stop by here more often as we head down the highway to town.

Jami, Joni and Maryellen invite you all to stop by and say Hello…read more We did and met Joni, Jami and Maryellen. When traveling with Bill, there WILL be banter. Joni serves more than food. Bill got as good as he gave. This is a roadside cafe in rural Creston, WA. Do not expect or demand Michelin-Star quality food. Cowboy art, country music, local community notices. I cannot speak for the expresso. I like Farmer Brothers. Expect rural Cafe food serving road trip main dishes. Breakfast served all day. One of us got breakfast. A favorite comment from me is, "Pancakes big as your face." or, "Pancakes big as a Baby Moon." However, nobody knows what is a Baby Moon any more. Light, fluffy, delicious with butter. Three of us finished the pancake. A Reuben with fries arrived. Bill ate it all gone, sharing his fries. The fries did not disappoint. Hot, brown, crispy, self- salted. Club Sandwich and fries landed, plus a giant small salad with our chosen ranch dressing. Joni mentioned Jami has a Food Complex. Nothing she creates satisfies her. She feels unworthy to command the grill. Not True! If you stop here. If you eat here, do as I did. Tell Jami you'd travel 1200 miles to eat her meals, just like Tom. Really good food. The Marion Berry pie was the perfect end as The Corner ended it's day. Be sure to thank Maryellen for her steadfast support work out back.

When you come here you can almost always strike up a conversation with others from the area. They're just that kind of friendly sort. We've also never been disappointed in the food or service. Water and coffee always being refilled without you even realizing it. From the outside it looks a bit dated, and inside is about the same. That just means they meet the qualifications for a classic diner. A worthwhile stop.

We've been coming here for four years to visit family and never realized this place existed. After growing frustrated with the other coffee shop on the main drag, we searched for nearby options and were relieved to find this one open. Overall, Voltage Coffee House was a much better experience. You could actually taste the coffee in the drinks, which was a nice change. The gal who took our order was friendly and greeted us with a smile, which added a welcoming touch. The two baristas preparing the drinks seemed a bit disoriented and unsure with some of the orders, so I was pleasantly surprised when the drinks came out just right. The ambiance of the café felt a little scattered--it didn't seem like there was a consistent theme--but the space definitely has good bones and the potential to be something special. One small thing I appreciated was that they don't put the lids or straws on your drinks for you. It's a simple but thoughtful touch that I personally prefer. We'll definitely be back.
