All were spot on and made me a happy man before heading back out on the cycle. Servers were friendly and knew all the locals by name. It's that kind of place. If passing through, it's worth the stop. Btw, I see one person didn't care for the coffee and gave them a poor rating. I thought the coffee was excellent enough to polish off a few mugs of it. For motorcyclists, the parking lot is mostly gravel with a small concrete pad directly in front of the store.

The area surrounding Grand Coulee is parched for water, with hills, bluffs, and plains covered with dry yellow grass. Yet, the Grand Coulee dam, holding back the Columbia River has created a massive lake, that appeared to be underutilized for recreation. I think I only saw one boat on the lake at the time we drove through. The town of Grand Coulee didn't seem to have many tourist dollars running through it, but Voltage Coffee was making its claim as the best coffee in town. Sometimes you want to stop for coffee at a walk-in storefront, instead of sitting in your car waiting for the closet sized expresso shops to churn out lattes. Voltage has nice seating areas indoors and out. We relaxed outside and took in views of the town. As we were sipping our coffee, a deer walked down the alley, stared at us for a moment, then continued moving on. There appeared to be so little activity in town at that time of day that the deer felt comfortable taking the shortest route to the lake for a drink. Or maybe that deer knew of a local vegetable garden in the area that wasn't adequately fenced in. If we ever drive through Grand Coulee again in the future, we will return to Voltage.

Everything I ate was very delicious and really hit the stop in preparation for long days outside hiking and camping. Both mornings I ate the breakfast burrito with sausage. Very well prepared and filling, with some very yummy salsa on the side. I also tried two of their muffins, both were fantastic and came with optional icing. Very tasty sweet treat. Their coffee is also great! I had an iced latte one morning and a hot latte the next morning. Both were great. The workers inside were super friendly and welcoming. It's clearly popular with locals, as there were lines inside and at the drive thru. But service was very fast! The vibes inside were nice and cozy. Right off the highway so it's an easy stop, and it's attached to a gas station making it very convenient. I will definitely come back here next time I'm in the Coulee City area.

I don't go out of my usual order of white chocolate mocha but I do know that the owner Lori buys good coffee and good flavorings for her coffee, unlike some places where they use cheap syrups and cheap coffee. She also makes homemade whip cream and has a wide variety of flavor. I've lived here for a long time and also know that the owner is a hard working woman and takes pride in her place!
