He also struck a very nice balance between providing expertise while also inviting our own opinions when deciding where to place the TVs on the wall. The first time he came with his assistant Oscar to work on the cameras. The two of them worked together on a really hot day, and they got all the cameras installed exactly where I wanted them to be. We discovered however, that the WiFi Modem/Router I had was not pushing the signal far enough. David suggested that I purchase a Wire Mesh Router called an Eero, which would increase the signal to all the cameras. At his recommendation, I purchased the Eero but ran into problems when connecting it all up. But David was right there to help me. Since I also needed some electrical work in my garage, David came out again and diagnosed the problem and created the solution. He then went to work on my Reolink network and saw that I had incorrectly connected the Eero. Once that was connected, it all seemed to be working fine. I would hire David again in a heartbeat and would recommend to others that they do the same. David AV has five star reviews for a reason: it's deserved! The Pros: The response time and availability were excellent. He came out the very next day to mount my TV and was quick to return when I called about an initial issue. He unboxed and packed away all the materials for the install project leaving no mess behind and was respectful of my home. The Cons: The quick turnaround clearly resulted in a rushed job that didn't feel worth the price. What you see online is also not what you get in person. In his photos, he wears a professional company polo, but he showed up dressed very casually in a t-shirt and sweat shorts. I paid extra for a second technician, but it was just his girlfriend in a spaghetti strap tank top, shorts, and sandals who briefly helped lift the TV and sweep. Furthermore, he didn't use the original HDMI cables that came with the TV and upcharged me $10 for his own screws in place of the screws that came with the mount/bracket, plus $30 just to stick on my LED light strip. Skipping the TV's original HDMI cable likely caused the echoing surround sound issue I am now dealing with. Because he didn't test the audio system, I am sitting here two days later trying to fix it myself. As a non-technician, I shouldn't have to spend hours trying to figure out how to get my components to work cohesively over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth when I just paid for a professional installation. The hidden cord service was also poorly executed. The only thing behind the wall is the TV power cord; the rest were shoved into a messy pile. When he returned to fix the blocked LED light sensor, his solution was just to pull it out, making the messy cords visible. He told me I needed a different cord to make the lights sync, even though they were designed for the TV. While he is definitely highly responsive, prioritizing speed over thorough testing and customer satisfaction makes it hard for me to recommend his services.
