In…read moreour case, because I had spent over two years planning every detail of our wedding myself, we truly only needed help with setup and teardown. What I needed wasn't someone to plan my wedding, I needed someone I could fully trust to hear me out, understand my vision, execute it flawlessly, and elevate it. Missie and the Fineline Events team, made up of her family, did exactly that.
From the very beginning, Missie was incredibly flexible, kind, and easy to work with. Because I had already planned everything, our setup looked a little different than most weddings. Every item was organized, labeled, and staged in our home, ready to be loaded into a trailer. Instead of asking us to change our process, Missie came to our home, walked through every single detail with me, listened to every idea, asked thoughtful questions, and took the time to truly understand the vision I had spent years creating. She wasn't there to take over, she was there to bring my vision to life. She respected the planning and work I had already put into our wedding and somehow found ways to showcase it even more.
Our wedding was also the very first wedding ever held outdoors at Festival Market Square, so there wasn't a blueprint to follow. Missie embraced that challenge with confidence, creativity, and flexibility, making everything feel effortless.
One of the things we appreciated most was how respectful she was of our wishes. We wanted some of our family to help during setup, not because she needed the extra hands, but because it was important to us. She welcomed them with kindness, worked alongside everyone seamlessly, and made the entire process enjoyable. She never made us feel like we were in her way. She simply wanted our day to be exactly what we envisioned, and that meant so much to us.
She also completely took the floral setup off my plate. She beautifully arranged more than 200 bud vases, transported every arrangement she created safely to the venue herself, and even trusted us with her own storage bins so we could get everything home safely afterward before returning them. That level of generosity and trust speaks volumes about the kind of person she is.
Beyond her incredible work, Missie is simply one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. She is calm, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about weddings. We could have talked for hours. She stays incredibly up to date on the wedding industry, is full of wonderful ideas, and somehow always makes you feel heard. No matter how many ideas I brought to her, she always listened first and made sure our ideas remained the priority.
Although we only hired Fineline Events for setup and teardown, I have absolutely no doubt that Missie could plan and coordinate an entire wedding from start to finish. She never tried to upsell us or convince us we needed services we didn't. Instead, she met us exactly where we were, respected every decision we had already made, and filled the exact role we needed. That flexibility is one of the many reasons I would recommend her to any couple, whether you're starting from scratch or already have everything planned.
Walking into our reception and seeing two years of planning come to life without having to worry about a single detail is something I'll never forget. Then, after the wedding, hearing the heartfelt voicemail Missie left on our audio guestbook brought me to tears. It perfectly reflected the kind of person she is, someone who genuinely cares about the couples she serves.
Thank you, Missie, and your incredible family team, for treating our wedding as if it were your own. Thank you for honoring our vision, caring for every little detail, and giving us the priceless gift of being fully present on our wedding day.
We are forever grateful and can't recommend Fineline Events highly enough.
