There are 2 Leslie's that are about equal distance from our house. One in Natomas and anther in Greenhaven. We usually go to the one in Natomas, but today we choose to go to the on on Greenhaven. I believe it's a smidge closer, only 11 minute drive. The drive is really easy, it's right off of the 5. Get off at the Florin Exit and then make your first left turn onto Greenhaven. It's located in the Nugget Shopping Center, next to Jimboy's Tacos, by the way they have tasty tacos, just in case all your shopping wears you out and you need a refresh. Parking is a breeze, the store is rarely crowded so the front spaces are usually empty. Just note that the parking is on a slant so be sure to use your parking break when you park. There are a ton more spaces if you don't want to park on a slant. They are part of a private shared lot with the shopping center. The store is relatively small, but has all your hot tub, spa, and pool needs. They even have a service counter and at home pool services. We only use their pool, hot tub, and spa water testing service. Depending on the cloudiness of water or when we change out the water we go on average 4 times a year or so. We change out the water around twice a year and since we maintain the chemicals daily we never get cloudy water and the chemicals stay pretty stable. Lately we have been buying our chemicals from Leslie's, prior to that we bought them off of amazon. It was just easier that way, they deliver to your door and they come in smaller quantities. We would like to give a huge thank to the sales associate that was working, Sunday, February 8th at noon. She is a total gem. Not only did she do our water test she went over what we needed to perfect our water quality. After doing so she looked a the picture of the chemicals we owned and pointed out the ones that we needed to add to out water. She noticed we were missing a chemical and showed us which one it was, but pointed out they only sold it in large quantities so she suggested we look online for a tub half that size for our tiny hot tub. We looked at the tub and thought we may have bought it in the past. She cued up her computer and sure enough we had purchased in the past, 2 years ago, when they sold it in half the quantity. That saved us from having to buy more. Now we're back at home adding the chemicals to our hot tub. It's going to take a the length of the Super Bowl to get the chemical "hardness" to the hot tub as it needs to be added in small increments. Good thing we're starting early. read more

Went to the 7215 Greenhaven Leslie's today because my old pool pump finally gave up. I used to go the Manzanita location but Jay Jay switched locations and I will follow him wherever he goes. I've been getting amazing service from him for well over a decade. The guy knows his stuff and is trustworthy. Also had a great experience with Mark who came out to the house. On February 11 I brought my Polaris pool sweep to Leslies on 300 Florin Road for service and repair. This location was formally operated as All Clear Pool and Spa Supply. Dani looked at the unit and removed a plastic cap covering the set screw for the pool sweep body. She commented that the cap was not part of the unit. I let her know that it was part of the unit when I purchased it and no one else has said otherwise. I was told that she would look at the unit and let me know what was needed for the repair. The next day I was informed that the repairs would cost about $400 but I could buy a new Polaris 280 for a little more money. I elected to repair my existing sweep. I asked about a parts and labor warranty and was told there was no warranty or guarantee period. That seemed odd to me since parts were usually covered. On February 21 I was told the repairs were completed so I went and picked it up. When I got home I noticed that the plastic cap covering the set screw was missing. I called the store and talked to Dani who then told me it was not part of the unit and that she had thrown the cap away. I told Dani that was not acceptable and wanted the cap to be replaced. She told me there was nothing she could do. I expected a little more courtesy and professional service from Leslie's. I have never had these kind of issues at the other Leslie's locations. I recommend going to the Leslie store at 7215 Greenhaven Dr. if you live in the Pocket\Greenhaven Area. read more

Leslie's is by FAR the worst Pool Maintenance Company I have ever dealt with. No shows. Giving a verbal bid for a small valve repair. It should have been a 15 minute job with less than $60 in parts. They quoted $150-200. Then after a month and a half of trying to get them to do the job, they sent a quote for double what they verbally quoted, almost $400. They only care about money. They try to convince customers to buy things that are absolutely unnecessary. Their "repair guy" suggested that I replace ALL of my newly installed pool equipment for their "new": equipment. $10K. This review is based off my current customer service with Leslie's and my broken pool. I called them on June 10th and let them know my heater and filter were not working. They told me to call the scheduling number which directs you to a call center in the Philippines. I did as instructed and the scheduler said they could have someone out on the 14th then all of a sudden said that appointment was now gone and it would not be until the 22nd. I told them my pool would be green by then and to put me on a cancelation list. The tech is supposed to call 30 minutes before and this tech David did not, showed up while I was in the shower and even though he had permission granted and knew the gate was unlocked he left. I call the call center again and a staff member tells me they'll call me back after they get a hold of him. The day goes by and I call back and all they can say is they haven't gotten a hold of him and they need to reschedule my appointment, I let them know tomorrow would be the only acceptable time frame and that I didn't want that tech. They told me it had to be that tech or it wouldn't be until the following week. Frustrated I agreed. The next morning David calls as he's supposed to and shows up. I meet him at the pool system and let him know what's going on, he says he thinks it's just a bad breaker and will be back later to fix it and will check Leslie's store to see if they have it in stock. 5 hours go by, I have to leave so I call the actual store and am told the manager is busy, that the tech never came in to check on parts and that the manager will call me back to schedule a tech to come. I make a request for Mark which has always been awesome. The manager never called me. I called back again the next day and the manager was again busy. I call back Tuesday and there is no manager and I'm told she will call me back tomorrow and that another message is being left for her. It's now 1:45pm on Wednesday and she still hasn't bothered calling. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service. I have called the scheduler number again to file a complaint and he has promised to call me back with a new appointment and I again requested Mark. I'm not holding my breath. read more

I appreciate these folks. I was in the store for roughly 1 minute in an agitated anti masker came in. They firmly but politely asked him to put on a mask. Of course he had a toddler tantrum but the manager stood her ground and he left and came back. They tested the sample and recommended a treatment plan along with a regular maintenance plan. They were patient and answered all my questions. Love this place! Last summer I brought a water sample in every single day for weeks - and NOT ONCE did April or Robert make me feel uncomfortable, despite the mutual frustration. Arrived at the store around 4:45 today (Sunday) and there were 3 people ahead of me. I needed a multitude of items and had many questions, and even though the store closes at 5:00 Amber helped me out and I left the store a happy customer at 5:25. And the color LED I wanted was on sale :) Also, a big Kudos to Tyler. I had algae dust in my pool that wouldn't go away. He hooked me up with some Green-to-Clean, shock and Clear Aid and not only is the algae gone the pool looks crystal clear like I've never seen it! read more

Shout out to Mark, who figured out the problem with my new Jacuzzi pool filter! My pool was green for a couple of months this summer because cellulose fiber was being pumped into the pool. The filter was for some reason letting that fiber through, and algae seemed to love having that stuff as a floating substrate. Mark never gave up after swapping some parts, and noticed that the filter cartridges were only half coated with cellulose fiber. His very effective solution: half the fiber needs to be added at low pump speed, and the other half at high speed to get the proper coating. Leslie's pumped a lot of chemicals into my pool at their cost while figuring this out. They really stand behind their installs! I'm also a fan of Robert, who sold me the filter and has been very helpful on several occasions. April has been great, too. But Mark solved the puzzle!! read more

They tell you they can't find parts or the don't make them anymore and you go to another pool place down the street and they have everything that they said was no longer sold hanging on the other pool places wall. Leslie's always tries to sell you everything but what you need. These young kids in there don't know what they are doing. They have no training about what pools need. Have shopped here late last year after purchasing a house with a newly plastered pool which had black algae in it. Was sold several bottles of chems. to treat the pool. Had no effect, so I hired a pool service to clear the pool of the algae. It was successful. I had a bottle of chems. not used. Wanted to return but they would not accept it back even tho it was sealed. I wanted to purchase some algaecide (green) to treat this spring due to heavy rains. I will never use Leslie's again. They are very non-consumer friendly. If I owned the store, I would have given credit for the sealed unused bottle of chems. towards other purchased products. I will use All Clear pool supplies also nearby as they are very friendly and know what they are talking about. read more

Ripoff Alert! We bought a pool blanket last year and were told it had a "3 year warranty." One year later, it fell apart. The bubbles cracked, spraying little blue bits that clogged the filter. We called about getting a replacement & "Dave" told us "Well, that warranty is narrowly written. It only covers defects in the manufacturing." I pointed out that falling apart was a defect. He blamed sun exposure in the pool (Duh. It's a SOLAR blanket), said the warranty wouldn't cover it. I pointed out it had only been a year. He said, "Yeah, they don't last very long..." This place is an absolute scam! There are better places to get pool supplies. We won't go back! read more
