2019 Post) Like many home owners I decided to play with pool levers that I had no business…read moretouching, called Bill (Owner of Atlantis) he sent out a service technician to fix my mess right away. Even Flushed my pool, cleaned my filters, and added new DE to my filters as he was out. Wow, again if anyone is questioning whether to use this company, I highly recommend them. I cannot say enough good things about them. Also now that I am 3 years out from building the pool I would like to tell you how service after the sale has been... Wonderful experience building and servicing the pool over the past 3 years. Would use them again. (2019 Post) Continued to be impressed with service after the sale. About 6 months ago had a Pentair part go bad, was told not to worry it was under its manufactures warranty, and if it wasn't not to worry about as it should not have went bad. They would take care of it! Wow! Atlantis came out and replaced it with a new unit, no questions. Superior service with a smile! (2016 Post)Can't say enough good things about the company, from design, installation, to opening and closing of the pool. Atlantis pools is a great company to deal with. Top of the line equipment and staff. We are clients for life. Thank you, Can't say enough good things about the company, from design, installation, to opening and closing of the pool. One of the co-owners of "Atlantis Pools Inc" is Jeff Via. He installed a pool for us back in 2001,…read moreunder the name "Quality Pools". We went with him because Jeff told us he would stand by his work. Well, when we began having issues with the liner, vermiculite and the concrete that had been poured around the pool, we couldn't get Jeff to fix the issues. I tried for three years to get him to resolve the problems we were having. By that time, "Quality Pools" had been closed and Jeff had opened another pool company under the name "Atlantis Pools Inc". When I did get a hold of him again, occasionally he'd forget to check his caller id before picking up, he said, "Listen, you have to understand, Quality Pools no longer exists. If I have to fix the problems, I'm going to have to charge you." I told Jeff that we decided to go with him, not the company he had decided to be called at that time. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with my decision. Fast forward to today, May 2, 2011. Our liner now needs replaced. We decided to go with Gritz pools. When they removed the old liner, they found out that the base for the pool, vermiculite, had not been properly installed. A considerable amount of the vermiculite was not the hard surface they had expected to find, but was more of a clay material, non-existent in some areas of the pool. Part of the problem, described to me by the lead from Gritz pools, was that "Quality Pools" hadn't applied the proper thickness of vermiculite, which should have been 2", but was barely an inch, and that they must not have added any concrete to the mixture. As they remeasured the layout for the pool, it was also noted that the dimensions "Quality Pools" had used, based on the remaining vermiculite, were way off. Please, don't fall into the same trap we did. We trusted Jeff Via and were completely misled. It sucks that you don't find that out until after the job has been done.

On July 8, 2024, we ordered a Merlin Pool cover at Keystone Pools for $1,999.59. The required 50%…read moredeposit on the order, $999.59, was paid. We were told the order would take approximately six weeks to process. Six weeks later, on August 19, 2024, we called to inquire about the pool cover. Keystone Pools told us they were having trouble with the internet/phone, and orders were delayed in arriving. They told us to check back at the end of August. We called the week of September 2 (8 weeks after the order was placed/deposit paid). We were told the order was not yet in. After two weeks, we started calling again with no answer. On Friday, September 20, 2024, we drove to Keystone Pools to inquire about the order in person. The woman in the store said she had no information about the order, but the owner had a death in the family and the order might be delayed. She didn't have the phone number for Merlin to check on the order status, but she would leave a message for the owner. On Monday, September 23, 2024, we emailed Merlin Pools directly to see where the pool cover was. We received an email from Merlin Pools on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, that an order of 1 pool cover ($1,999.59) for us was placed on 9/23/2024. The next day, we received another email from Merlin Pools that the pool cover had been shipped to the distribution center in Harrisburg, PA. We began calling Keystone Pools to find out when we could pick up the pool cover/pay the balance. No one has answered the phone since September. We mailed them a letter asking for the pool cover or to return our deposit. We drove to Keystone Pools three more times, October, November, and today. No one is ever at the store. It is always closed even though the store hours posted indicate the store is open. Now the phone number is no longer in service, and the pool cover seems to be being held at the distribution center in Harrisburg. Last week, Merlin Pools encouraged us to contact the distributor in Harrisburg, but they haven't returned our calls. Now six months after we placed the order at Keystone Pools, we are out the $999.59 deposit, and we have no Merlin pool cover. We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and we are now pursuing a small claims court claim for breach of contract.
