Long Review- Purchased an above ground pool two winters ago because Leslie's was having a sale. We installed it last year right before Easter. In between that time it was me leveling the area in the back yard and bugging the crap out of Judy with question after question. Every time I went in there she immediately recognized me and would ask how progress was going. She definitely put me at ease because she had an answer for each question I shot at her. From helping determine the size of the pool to what type of filter to use, she was helpful every step of the way. I have three kids and unfortunately they all have sensitive skin, which would make the chlorine tough for them on their skin as well as their eyes. Growing up I just figured the itchiness after swimming and the burning of the eyes was a small price to pay to the joy that was swimming. As soon as I informed Judy of this, she told me about Aqua-silk, it's an alternative to chlorine. At first i was a bit hesitant because the bottles are a bit on the smaller side and are a bit pricier. I assumed the upkeep would cost us a lot. Judy let me know that it was worth the price and that a little would go a long way. Ended up using the Aqua-silk and the kids have complained zero times about their skin or eyes in a little over a year. In fact, you feel pretty silky smooth while you're in the pool. Pretty similar to our water softener system we have for the house. Judy is always the person I go to when I want my water tested, she goes out of her way to ask how the kids are doing and really sends out a good vibe. read more

I had a pool guy so ya I thought my pool was being maintained, I thought I was paying someone to keep my pool swim ready and safe. So when my pool started to get cloudy I went and had my water tested. Come to find out my water was toxic. Judy came to the rescue, because I had a pool party planned for the next day. She got my pool water to a safe point for people to swim; but that was not easy. She got me the chemicals I needed to naturalize the pool, but also told me I needed to check my filters. The Pandora's box opened it would appear that my "pool guy" had not been doing much of anything the filters needed to be replaced and did not look like they had even been touched in years. My bad for not checking, but I thought that was what I was paying for. Clearly my bad for the assumption. Judy had me take pictures of all my pool equipment and has been the step-by-step guide to me learning how to do my own pool, since the POOL GUY clearly didn't work out. We still have some work to do to get my pool back to where it needs to be, but Judy is very helpful, knowledgeable, and just a breath of fresh air. I had the pleasure of working with Judy, who has always been very friendly , knowledgeable and has an expertise when it comes to supplies and equipment. When I moved here a year ago and it was a first time owner of a pool I had no idea about the upkeep of a pool. Judy has been there since day one she has always provided me with the best care for my pool. she has been very friendly and caring towards me and any of my situation's. Judy has walked me through many situations and took her time to be on the phone and FaceTime me even when I was really not knowing what to do and was beyond myself with stress. Judy just made it better she helped me And I can always depend on her. I can't believe the incredible service coming out of your Madera Leslie's store. An employee named Judy not only went above and beyond for me, but followed up with the county for two days (they can be hard to get in touch with.) In talking to me she said she was really interested in what they were telling me about permits and requirements, and she wanted to make sure she was giving her customers all of the right information. She spoke to some contacts she had in the county and called me back twice to make sure I had the information I needed. I have no doubt she is committed to making sure her clients are well-cared for. I trust her to put her customer's interests as a top priority, holding space for their needs while also accessing the most current relevant information so they can make choices that are right for their situation. This is #1 Place where I go (Madera Location) to buy all my patio furniture and pool supplies I totally recommend! The staff is friendly and profesional. They know what they are doing and go the extra mile to educate and provide the best customer service. Judy is the best! She does everything she can to meet customer expectations and satisfaction. I can certainly always count on her. Never have I had a bad experience. I recently purchased 4 umbrellas and she only had two in stock so she did a few phone calls and found the other two at a different location! On top of that I purchased the pacific cool bar but was afraid I wouldn't get it on time for my event but turned out that I was going to get it on-time.. I am very up set because I just found out that Judy the store manger was fired. It is a shame because she was the only one in the Madera store that was able to help me. She was the only one I would go to for information about my pool. She even help me to get a new filter for my pool. She was the one I would go to for answers. I will no longer go in there for my pool supplies un less she it brought. back. They have fired the only person that could really help you out. She was helpful with eveything I need. I have to say that when i walked into Leslies i had no idea what i needed. I had no product knowledge and i did not have a lot to spend. Judy answered all my questions and helped me purchase a skimmer that not only works amazing but has my pool already summer ready. Judy is Amazing! She is educated in all areas of pools and their problems... Always sends me in the right direction with products. My favorite visit is after purchasing multiple light bulbs for pool light and it only working a short time, then the last light bulb never worked.. we were discussing a whole new tank for pool light, she gave me a quick training on wiring and fuses at the box.. we found a problem and fixed it for under $5..
