I've been told the cracks are only superficial and not to worry about it but I had my last pool for 10 years and it never had a crack. In my opinion, Rivermist didn't keep their schedule or their word. Personally, I could never recommend them.

Then they called us liars. now they are threatening to put a lien our home. I can document every assertion made in this post. We contracted with River Mist Pools because even though they were higher, they were very nice folks with a stellar reputation. We could live with the fact that they took literally twice as long to build our pool than the timeline they presented to us because we know that this is construction during the summertime in Texas and things happen. However, at the end of the process, our beautiful pool was about tree inches too shallow (it's supposed to be 5 feet deep) and it was quite unlevel. I want to make clear that the very first time River Mist filled the pool, both my family and the River Mist guys recognized that the pool was not level. They immediately agreed to repair the pool and we all decided to do the repair the following spring to give the pool more time to settle. The repair was supposed to take two weeks but instead took five. They finished and re-filled the pool in May (again no issue there...I understand). But then River Mist began demanding their money. I offered to pay River Mist 5K of the remaining 10k but I wanted to hold the other 5k until I consulted with an attorney about my position in this matter (which I'm in the process of now). My feeling is that since I didn't get exactly what I contracted for why should I have to pay full price. . I've already paid 108K. Am I entitled to a discount on the remaining 10k? This is where the issue stands now. If I could go back in time, I would choose a different pool builder. Nice folks but...

Initially, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly Emerald Waters Pool completed our pool installation. Unfortunately, we soon realized the speed came at the expense of doing the job correctly. The biggest issue was that the required city inspections were never completed before construction moved forward. Will advanced the project all the way to the final inspection, where the city rejected the entire project. We then spent approximately two and a half months waiting for everything to be corrected and approved before we could finally move forward with the plaster. Even after receiving city approval, the problems continued. The site had not been properly prepared before the plaster was applied, resulting in it having to be installed twice. Then, just three weeks after installation, the color began fading, which was clearly not normal. We contacted Will about the issue but never received a response. We also discovered that the waterfall was installed off-center, another quality control issue that should have been caught during construction. In addition to the pool, we hired Emerald Waters Pool to install a patio and walkway. The workmanship was disappointing. The pavers was neither straight nor level without constant supervision, and we had to insist that sections be redone because they were not installed correctly. To make matters worse, some of the additional work we paid for was never completed. It is also worth noting that the work performed outside of the pool installation was never covered by a written contract, which appeared to avoid documenting that portion of the project. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Emerald. Between the missed inspections, poor workmanship, lack of communication, and incomplete work, the project became far more stressful and time-consuming than it should have been. We strongly encourage anyone considering this company to continue their search for a builder that prioritizes quality, communication, and accountability.

I encountered the same rudeness, lack of professionalism, and extremely poor follow-up from Charles, the owner. He did not respond well to being asked questions or being held accountable for communication and timelines. Instead, he attempted to deflect and mischaracterize the situation. We were originally told the pool would be completed in 30 days. However, the experience did not meet that expectation. About a year after installation, the stones around the top of the pool began to fall apart one by one. Although we had some repairs done, the issue continued annually. Eventually, about 40 days ago, we were informed that all the stones around the entire pool needed to be replaced. One of the biggest concerns throughout this process was a lack of follow-through. This led to ongoing frustration and conflict. In hindsight, I regret dismissing the negative reviews I had seen beforehand. My husband had brought them to my attention, but I chose to believe they were inaccurate. Because of that, we moved forward, assuming our experience would be different. Unfortunately, it was not. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider all reviews before making a decision. I would never recommend this company to anyone. SLOW, RUDE, UNPLEASANT TO WORK WITH, POOR FOLLOW-UP, OWNER DOES NOT KEEP HIS WORD…read more Based on my personal experience, I would never recommend this company for the following reasons: (1) They are extremely slow, We contracted with Heavenly Pools to build an in ground swimming pool in our back yard. Many, many, many weeks passed with no one working on the pool. When I called the owner,Charles, to inquire about the long delays in work, he was very confrontational, defensive, and rude to me. And the pace of work remained slow, even slower than before. (2) Charles, was aggressive, rude and confrontational with me. It was very unpleasant for me to have any conversations with him. He talked over me constantly and I found him to be disrespectful. (3) He is not a man of his word. After construction finally "ended", we had to beg him on many occasions to come back for a final walk-through to show us how to operate it. There are still unresolved problems and issues with our pool, still, 2 months after "completion". He says he'll fix them but still has not. He blames his contractors for shoddy workmanship and takes no responsibility for the mistakes. Working with Heavenly Pools has been a regrettable nightmare that seems to never end. I would never wish this experience on anyone else. I also refuse to use any of his contractors, and I now use a different company to clean and maintain my pool.
