Bought an American Whirlpool hottub from this company at their Lakeland location two years ago…read more Went with a local company, knowing we would pay more, because support was important to us. They did tell me that they were going to be discontinuing that brand but that they would still provide service. Now the hottub can't get hot (I keep it set at 104 degrees and it is stuck at 99) so I called them to see about getting it serviced. Now they no longer service these hottubs and that I need to call the company to see who can service it. They couldn't/wouldn't help me find someone to service it! Guess now that they have my money, I'm on my own. Would never go back there again. UPDATE: Closest certified American Whirlpool service center wants to charge me $471 for travel expense. I have messaged this company to ask for help since they assured me they would still service the hot tub we bought and I never heard back from them (that was over a week ago. I also called the Brandon location to see if I could get some help and all I got was "I'm sorry!". No offer to help in any way. I hope others will see this before deciding to do business with these people.

Jim was fantastic to deal with during the construction and a special shout out to Bibi who has the patience of a saint and explained everything we needed to know to run our pool. we were fortunate to have Bibi as our "Pool School instructor." Tampa Bay Pools installed our pool using an obsolete Jandy chlorinator that was discontinued 10…read moreyears ago. After 6 months it stopped working. We have had difficulty with the Warranty Department since installation. I had them out 5-6 times to fix the auto leveler and auto filler. They always come when I wasn't there and said they could not find an issue. The last time they came I stayed home from work and showed them specifically. Turns out that both were clogged up. Now they are making us jump through hoops just to get the chlorinator repaired and again they don't believe me that its obsolete. When you get your quotes for installation make sure you require that they use the most current and modern components; have them spell it right out in the contract. Still waiting on the warranty department to come out... its been 2 weeks.

That said, we decided to travel a couple miles further thos past Sunday, and visit Leslie's on Big Bend and US Hwy 301. In short, I will just say that they were AMAZING! They were a bit busy, so they greated us, let us know they would be with is as soon as possible, so we looked around the store while waiting. Shortly there after, we were approached and greated by Lynn, and let me just say, she is AMAZING!!! We explained what we had going on with our pool, she made some recommendations and put together a short term plan in order to get things right with our pool. Her plan was presise, came from a position of knowledge and experience, and was not one made up of costly chemical after costly chemical! We got home, executed to 1st two steps of the plan, and in litteraly 3 hours time, we could see a signifigant difference in our pool!!! All said, Lynn is a ROCK STAR and truly represents the Leslie's brand in the absolute greatest light. Besides her knowledge, which was amazing, she has a certain something that is inherent and often can not be taught, CUSTOMER VISION!. Lynn has earned us as a new Customer and one that will be with Leslie's, for the long haul. And to Leslies "C" Suite personnel, Lynn should be made the Chief Training Officer for Corporate!

Cara the owner, was very gracious and advised she would have Ben, her husband, come out and look at the spa pump. Ben came and looked at the pump and felt confident it could be repaired. He ordered the necessary parts and indicated he would let us know when it came in. In the meantime, we mentioned to the pool builder doing the resurfacing that we had contacted Dutchcraft Services to repair the pump. Marty, from US Pools without us asking, stated that Ben does great work and he also recommended them. How cool was that? Ben completed the work. we had a hiccup, not because of anything Ben had done wrong, but the company putting the pebble sheen had plugged the spa to avoid material going into the pipe. They unplugged it and the spa pump works like a charm!! The best part, Ben's price was very reasonable! We are sooo happy with it and we are using the spa more than we ever have! I love this family owned business, they care and are meticulous with their work.
