Leslie Hotel

i booked this hotel for my family and i as we are having a cruise out of the miami port. we booked 3 days before and 3 days after. we get to the hotel to find out i accidently booked an extra day in the beginning of the stay. the front desk clerk said that he could re activate our booking which was greatly appreciated. i asked about a refund being issued for the first day and he said all we needed to do was call through the 3rd party that we booked with which was through Royal Caribbean. he was very understanding of our situation. so that is what we did. we called the agency and they ended up calling the front desk "terry". they said the front desk clerk declined a refund so we asked the agency if he would be open to a credit instead for the restaurant that is in front of the hotel and she called the front desk clerk again and asked about the credit. he declined. the agency recommended we go and talk to the hotel staff ourselves to resolve the issue so my mother and i decided to head downstairs to talk to the front desk clerk (terry) ourselves. we waited for the clerk to get back to the desk and when he arrived he was hostile towards us both from the start (which is when i started to record our conversation with my phone in my lap) we tried to explain the situation about how we were not in the proper head space when booking as we are going through a hard time with my grams being ill and how i mixed up the days when booking. the man proceeded to interrupt me and say how we didn't need to explain ourselves and that he could tell we were already angry and upset and we're not gonna listen to him even as my mother and i were talking in a calm demeanor the entire talk. the man proceeded to raise his voice and interrupt us the entire time throughout the conversation. he then stated that if we booked directly with them, they could have offered us a refund, and then when i restated what he said, he back tracked and said no, "we may have been able to help". He even stated how he was going to write an email to the manger (george) after the first call from our 3rd party agency had called but then he got upset after she called him back and decided against it. he kept mentioning how the general manager of the property would not be understanding (direct quote) as he has worked with the general manger (george) for a long time been doing this for 28 years. We ended up going back to our room and leaving it at that. When we got back to the hotel after the cruise, we had a lady who ended up helping us and was very kind. She upgraded our room which was very kind. Only thing is, they were doing construction on the rooftop right above our room from 9am-5pm every day which was a little upsetting being woken up early after being up late. Overall great location, staff in the morning was great, restaurant below is amazing, just won't be returning for future visits.

Octavio, needs to be fired.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would, the worst customer service ever. DO NOT STAY HERE! I repeat, do not stay here. They get your money and then treat you like you aren't a paying guest. They racially profiled my friends and I during our girls trip in Miami'. We walked in and they assumed we weren't guest and immediately began to be rude and nonchalant towards us. We had no issue giving them our room number and ID's but they continued to badger us and when we asked for management information, they wouldn't even tell us the managements information to complain. Wendy and Octavio need to be fired. I will be spreading the word that this hotel is not worth the money or time. I am requesting that management get in contact with me about my experience ASAP. The employee's in these photos need to be fired . We made them aware of our issue and not alone did Wendy ignore us in our face but she also refused to give us the contact information of the property manager or anyone else for that matter. She did not care if the situation was rectified or not. I'll be filing a complaint with the better business bureau as well. I have video footage of the full exchange that took place on Friday, July 22nd.

The location is impeccable and the service was very good, so the checkin was a breeze. The room was very nicely decorated and spacious. I loved the rooftop pool area, although it does need some attention. Some of the cabana couch areas are missing their roof and the lounge chairs by the jacuzzi are missing their pads, so it's difficult to sit on. I was very surprised that there wasn't a bar or food here anymore. There aren't any tables out front or breakfast option. Based on previous reviews, it seems like it must have been removed.

This hotel gets a lot of things wrong, and not much right. The bad: It's expected to have a poor view - but this view of the alley was terrible. And added to non stop noise issues. Included the 8:30am garbage truck pick up. In addition, anytime someone walked across their room upstairs you could hear it. There was an overwhelming smell in the room upon arrival - like someone sprayed a scent to cover something up. We finally discovered a glade plug-in. Removing it helped that. The hotel offers "beach chairs and towels". You are better renting a chair at the beach. The front desk refused an additional towel for our party and also told us we couldn't take one from the room. (Where do you want me to get an extra beach towel?). This was the theme of service from the front desk. The bar publishes that they have a bar when they do not. Want a drink from next door? $30 for a margarita. Middle of the road: TV was broken. It was quickly fixed by a hotel rep but the solution was letting the cable box hang below the TV. The ok: The pool is a nice escape and gets great sun. Some of the other guests were not respectful with their smoking or music in the pool and the attendant did nothing to correct it. If you want a cocktail - be prepared to bring your own. We thought we might be having a unique experience - but after visiting with other couples at the hotel it was clear we were not alone. We confirmed that other guests had done what we had done - taken a loss on their rooms for a few evenings and ventured out to other parts of Florida to salvage their vacation. I would advise staying blocks away from South Beach. If you must stay there - pick a different hotel.

We loved this exquisite boutique hotel so much we came back in February! Located in the heart of the Art Deco district in Miami's South Beach, it is steps away from almost everything you would want for a fun get away. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive to all your needs and have suggestions for activities too. The cherry on top is Daryl the night manager, not only is he one of the nicest people we have met, he is also the best dressed man in South Beach and on Ocean Drive!Be sure to say Hi to him when there...he has lots of suggestions for unique hidden gems in all of Miami. It's fun to sit on the porch in the evenings and people watch too!

Right in the middle of all the action, is this hotel. Conveniently located right in the heart of Ocean Dr. You don't have to really go anywhere, the view is amazing. People watching is very entertaining from the front porch. Staff was extremely accommodating. Lilly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rest of the staff was just as pleasant. If I ever come back, this is the place I would stay. They have the rooftop pool area and many restaurants in walking distance.

The business decides to respond 3 months after my review: USELESS. The business's response contained a generic apology for the inconvenience but never a follow up directly to the customer for the actual incidents considering I gave very specific examples as to why they sucked: USELESS. Just because you responded doesn't mean you resolved it. Let's make that clear. Your aim to high standards is a complete phony considering you can't even respond and resolve in a timely manner, and that by responding, you think that it closes out the issues presented. If you care for your customers, try harder than what you did here.

This hotel is located right on ocean drive in south beach. It looks pretty much like any other Art Deco hotel on the strip. Outside seating with music that's not too much, we sat in the corner away from the speakers. Outside visitors bathrooms are gross, it's like pool ones and not maintained. Inside the lobby is simple and clean. Prices during Art Basel are extremely high. For some reason the receptionist kept charging 2 nights even it was only 1 night and kept being repeated. We got charged for 2 nights at the Art Basel rate that's ridiculous. There's 1 elevator. It took us to the second floor where our rooms were. Rooms are very pretty, romantic with the drapes. Bathroom has a modern rain shower. The samples to use are basic (no body lotion, shower cap, etc. but only bare necessities provided). There's a mini fridge and safe which are a big plus!! Beds were comfortable and I slept good. Except for the noise from room service non stop all morning intentionally to get you out. Like chit chatting out in the hallway. The roof top is gorgeous and best part of this hotel! Pool, hot tub and beautiful seating booths. There's handicap elevator. The complimentary breakfast was terrible. You better of with Mc donalds all day breakfast than eating here. Besides the fruit salad nothing was appetizing to me personally. But it's included in the very expensive room. The hotel phone number listed on google and their website does not work.

Review is based of the food. But the hotel is in a prime location right on Colin's. Service - Workers here and all up and down the strip are a bit pushy trying to sell you on the deals. Aside that the service was good, had to wave down people once for a refill on our drinks. Food / Price - Small portions with okay taste and flavor but for the price can't beat it. Deals - They offer a buy one get one free on drinks thats a really good deal. Breakfast deals are great also. Views - Amazing as you can sit and enjoy food and drinks, while seating down looking at people cruise and walk down Colins. Would come back.

Drinks downstairs: mojito, strawberry mojito, and piña colada

Stayed here over the weekend. Had a little hiccup with booking through Expedia. Apparently put only 2 people staying instead of 4 and had to tack on an extra $40 per person fee. The person who checked us in was very chatty and took awhile to get people processed in, would've appreciated quicker service. The next front desk lady was a little rude when asked for towels and chairs for the beach. Other than them the employees were very nice and accommodating. Always someone there to open the door and someone asking if we wanted a drink at the bar. The room was clean and comfy. Updated bathrooms with rain shower head. The lighting in the bathroom was pretty dim. Our view was of a dilapidated hotel next door that was maybe 20 feet away. Overall the stay was enjoyable. You get what you pay for. Grab some drinks downstairs. They're huge!

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

You are walking through the area with all the guests and their luggage in your super large robe that doesn't close very well. I did not enjoy this. Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. The valet staff was quite nasty telling me we were there too long for the discount BUT each one of those alone qualified for a discounted valet. You can not do both in the 4 hour window.

My Marriott status included breakfast for two, though the included menu was much shorter than the regular one and the portions were modest. Still, the food was cooked to order, tasted good, and the servers kindly let me order both breakfasts since I was traveling alone. I didn't try the Japanese restaurant on site, but I heard good things and enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants instead, especially La Grande Boucherie. My Marriott Platinum Elite status is supposed to include guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, but the hotel would not honor it. Each day I was told to check again later, and in the end they could only offer 1 p.m. That created real scheduling problems, since I had planned around the advertised benefit. With no good place in the hotel to work or take calls after checkout, I ended up going to the airport hours early. The status is supposed to provide a room upgrade, but that wasn't available either. A couple of other issues matched complaints I had seen in recent reviews. One elevator stopped for several minutes with a group of us inside and did not respond to the buttons, which was uncomfortable even though the door eventually opened. I also received a call inviting me downstairs for a "welcome gift," which turned out to be a Marriott Vacation Club sales pitch. That should be presented more honestly. Overall, this was a decent stay and I might return. But given the failure to honor the guaranteed 4 p.m. late checkout, I would compare other options carefully before booking again.

We spent the afternoon by the pool, enjoying drinks and snacks, which were delicious and the perfect way to relax. Later, we headed to Happy Hour at Lido, and it was fantastic. The drinks were excellent, the food was great, and the waterfront setting made the experience even more special. The entire property has a laid-back luxury feel, with beautiful landscaping, comfortable seating areas, and amazing views. Whether you're visiting for a spa day, drinks by the pool, or Happy Hour at Lido, The Standard delivers a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend for a relaxing day in Miami Beach!

The rooms have been thoughtfully re-designed, but still have that cold Miami cinder block feel. In other words you won't do more than sleep in them. The pool area is fantastic with a bay view and plenty of chairs. Lido Grill, the main restaurant, is nicely done and people / pet friendly. Service was good, once you got their attention, which was on you, not them...we had the lobster, fairly priced at $39, but was like rubber and inedible. Sides were a throw away. Drinks were very good. Other points, nice mini bar in room, however NO coffee in room and coffee shop doesn't open until 7 AM. A regular room, facing back away from bay, dinner for 2, minor mini bar invasion (2 drinks) valet, was over $1100. Not worth the cost.

Fontainebleau Miami isn't just a hotel -- it's a full‑scale Miami moment. The kind of place where…read moreyou walk into the lobby and instantly feel like you've stepped into a glossy magazine spread. High ceilings, marble everywhere, and a buzz that tells you you're in the right place. What impressed me most? There's genuinely plenty to do for all ages, which is not something you can say about every Miami resort. Whether you're traveling with kids, teens, adults, or a multigenerational crew, everyone finds their lane here. The pool scene is the heartbeat of the property. Multiple pools, each with its own personality -- family-friendly areas with space to splash, quieter corners for lounging, and the high-energy spots where the music and cocktails flow. Service was dialed in across the board: fast, friendly, and always one step ahead. Rooms were spotless and stylish, with balconies that make you want to order room service just to soak in the view a little longer. Housekeeping kept everything crisp, and every request was met with that effortless "of course" attitude. Dining is another standout. From quick bites to full-on fine dining, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Even the grab-and-go spots felt elevated. And if nightlife is your thing, you don't need to leave the property -- the energy here after dark is pure Miami. But if you're traveling with kids or just want a low-key night, the resort still feels comfortable and accessible. Fontainebleau nails that rare balance of iconic luxury and all-ages fun. It's bold, glamorous, and buzzing in all the right ways, yet still manages to be welcoming and easy to enjoy no matter who you're traveling with. A true Miami classic that continues to deliver. Enjoy

This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. All those pictures with the pool lit up? Not for you. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. Seriously, we got warnings to get out at 10min to 6, 5min to 6, and at 6:00. Why every five minutes? Because a group of staff members were hovering over us, watching and waiting for the moment to kick us out. Very relaxing. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. Staff are at every door as you go in or out - hotel to pool or pool to beach - monitoring you to produce it. Very relaxing. There is no coffee in the room, forcing you to travel across the whole huge facility (3 towers connected by long walks) to their coffee shop to pay $10 for a cup of coffee each morning. You could walk all the way back to your room, or - like me - you can try to drink it by the pool. But NO! You can't sit by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately. Hovering, as usual. To get a lounge on the beach - in February, low season - we had to get in line to sign up for a chair and then get in a second line of 20-30 people and wait in the hot sun for an available, assigned chair and a staff person to take us there. Grab a chair and relax? Nope. It's a monitored system. When we checked out, the staff told us there were too many rooms to provide a coffee maker in each one. I guess their policy is to assume their guests are stupid.
