Lisa is great! Found her through groupon, and am so glad I chose her place. She really worked with me both on time and price. I got there, parked on the street behind the salon because it was after 6 and its free then for an unlimited time, until then its only for 2 hours. There's also metered parking right in front of the salon complex she's in. Hers has 2 chairs and a place to wash hair. I got mine cut and dyed dark brown with red tips, and cut in kind of a different style too. She knew exactly what I wanted and it turned out perfect. She's really nice and makes you comfortable right away. I'll be going back for sure. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. I don't like to leave negative reviews, but I was referred to Lesia by her daughter. I was excited because she seemed to be perfect for what I was looking for, & I was looking forward to becoming a long term client. We chatted via social media & text, & she was so sweet! We set an appointment date. On the day of the appointment, I realized she never confirmed the address, so I sent a text. No response. I called, & she texted back saying she was busy, & to text her. I did so, again trying to confirm the address. I ended up googling to see what I could find, drove to the salon listed, & SURPRISE! It wasn't her salon. I texted again, no response. Back to Google, found her name listed at a different salon, so I drove there. Of course she wasn't here either. Thank God there WAS someone who could do my hair, & she was amazing! She squeezed me in even though her calendar that day was full. I'm glad things worked out, but I am not ok with the level of unprofessionalism Lesia displayed. About a week has passed, & she NEVER responded to my calls/texts, after telling me she was busy. My thing is, if you're unable to keep an appointment that we agreed upon (she gave me her availability), the professional thing to do is to let the customer know, ahead of time or as soon as possible. But to completely ignore me was wrong. I'm not sure if this is a pattern, but I hope my review helps someone from going through what I did. read more

Lesia is a true pro! She's been doing my hair for the past 3 years. Lesia is always prompt, energetic, creative and professional. She can rock a Brazilian Blowout like no other and is an amazing colourist. What I love the most is Lesia is very efficient and mindful of our busy schedules in La La land. Her space is conveniently located in Sherman Oaks and she will always find time to fit you in even if it means working longer hours. Now for the real wow! Lesia gives me a great cut, lots of full layers. A Brazilian Blowout that lasts for a year and gave me the best light ombré for the summer so a few weeks ago I wanted a change. She suggested a lowlight ombré for winter since I travel back east often. Omg, it looks amazing and my hair has zero damage. Loving it and turning heads along the way. You will not be disappointed with Leisa's talent! read more

You know how you feel after you get an awesome haircut? That's exactly how I felt after seeing Lesia. She did an awesome job highlighting my hair, cutting it and styling. It was my first time to get highlights so I was a bit nervous but I wish I had done it sooner! I was a bit hesitant to ask her regular prices, for fear I wouldn't be able to afford it, but she's actually more reasonable than some other Valley hair salons I had visited. I finally found a stylist I want to stick with! read more

I have curly hair so it's hard to find a stylist that can manage my hair. I met Lesia and she was able to fix my hair color and provided tips on how to maintain my hair. I also got a blow out which was Amazing! My hair feels heathy and manageable. Lesia is a professional stylist Thank you for your kindness, honesty, and professionalism. read more

Visiting from out of town and I needed my hair washed and styled last minute. Lesia was the second stylist I called and she answered right away and was able to squeeze me in same day. The salon was easy to locate, clean and the staff was friendly. I was offered a cappuccino and a bagel while I waited which was less than 5 minutes. Lesia was very friendly and I was very impressed with her service and technique. She styled and washed my install in a timely manner and gave me excellent recommendations for style upkeep. If you're looking for a friendly, experienced stylist Lesia will take great care of you and your hair. read more

Lesia has been my stylist for some years. She not only brings a modern and hip style, but is very creative and brings an overwhelming positive influence to my hair styling experience. Lesia stays on the cutting edge of style and is very flexible to my special needs and requests. I will never go anywhere else for my hairstyling needs and am very lucky to have found her. Her expertise is texturizing and hot towel treatment and I so much enjoy the experience every time I get styled. I would highly recommend Lesia for all of your styling needs. read more

Lesia has been my stylist for about a year. She is very versatile and does great extensions, highlights, and cut. Lesia has always been very flexible and accommodating to my schedule even on a short notice, which I appreciate tremendously. Not only Lesia is a gifted professional, she is also the nicest person to be around. She is positive, has a bubbly personality and a great sense of humor. I can't account for her hair skills but I'd recommend not buying the Groupon. I was looking for a new stylist close to home but unfortunately was unable to coordinate an appointment. I had to reschedule my initial appointment and then she cancelled on me for the rescheduled date. Which is fine except ever since I've tried to reach out to make another appt she hasn't replied. It seems like she may also be working out of her house - also fine but not as advertised. The reviews make it sound like she does great hair I guess just not if you use the Groupon. read more

Although I can't comment on the service, I'm commenting on the level of professionalism. Lesia or whatever her name is cancelled an hour before my appointment. When I called to reschedule to could not provide a firm answer. I gave her yet another shot and gave me a date and time. When I show up, she is nowhere to be found. Her peer inforned me she had left 2 hours prior. I call her about 4 times and no answer. I have yet to receive a phone call. read more

According to India Arie I may not be my hair, but I personally am not convinced. The rest of my life could completely fall apart, but you better believe the hair on my head is going to look right. Stylists are very personal to me, and I'm super discretionary as I can't have just anybody up in my hair, so when I say I adore Lesia at Nikko Hair Studio, trust that she's got the goods and more. First off, Nikko Hair Studio is in an awesome location. The studio is clean, warm, and welcoming - and the lady running the business, Lesia, is no different. I found Lesia this past spring when I needed someone to do a touch up on my extensions as my regular stylist was otherwise busy. Recently I decided to stop wearing extensions, and since that's pretty much all my regular stylist excels at, I decided to come back to Lesia to talk about options for straightening my hair and getting it healthy. Now, I'm a total product junkie, so when I went to Lesia for my blowout I was just hitting her up with questions and products and throwing everything I had, trying to get her thoughts on what could work on my hair. Normally I can throw a stylist off and name something that they don't know, but everything I mentioned to Lesia she had either used it personally, on her family, worked with it in the salon, etc. She blew my mind. Lesia's focus is all about healthy hair, which is exactly what I need in my life right now. If you've got a goal for your hair, she's got a workout plan to get it in shape. Her prices are reasonable for the area; yea, you could probably go to the hood and get some stuff done a little cheaper, but with Lesia it's about the whole package - the skills/experience, the knowledge, the great ambiance at Nikko Hair Studio, and the awesome conversation. I'd dare anyone to find all this at a better price anywhere else - you can't do it! read more

I picked up a livingsocial deal that offered a haircut, highlights, and blowdry; in desperate need of styling I decided to purchase it. WOW. Lesia was awesome! I told her that I basically brush my hair in the morning (if that) or tie it back and then shoot out the door most mornings, and she came up w/a cut and color that totally works w/my personality and lifestyle. She was really friendly and personable and very knowledgable; we spent the afternoon laughing and I left w/a big smile and a bomb haircut = definitely one the most enjoyable times i've ever spent at a stylist! read more

I don't know what the issue is with this company's phones but I bought a Groupon deal and called over and over for a month. The phone just rang and rang. I finally contacted Groupon and they contacted the salon on my behalf. I received an email from them to which I replied and still have not received a response. I called Groupon again. I can't say anything about their services but do NOT buy their groupon deal. read more

I am always apprehensive of cutting my hair because I rarely get my hair cut the way I want it. Secondly, my husband likes long hair and he is always against my hair cutting. Anywys, since I am almost 9 months pregnant, I wanted to get my hair done once so I dont have to worry about them for the next few months. I found Nikko on yelp and decided to give it a try. Well I have to say this is the first time the reviews actually reflect the real picture. Lesia is great. She just knows what you want once you talk to her. I have weird curly/wavy hair but with a softer texture and I feel the need to tame it all the time. But the way Lesia has cut them, even with messier hair, it doesn't look bad at all. I have had a lot of compliments on my hair at work. And surprisingly, my husband liked my hair even when it was a bit shorter. Thanks Lesia. I think she's going to be my stylist for the longest time. Just a small con though, Lesia is yet not set up for credit card so you might have to carry the required cash with you. oh and I forgot to mention, she's very very reasonable on price. read more

I found Nikko's by just searching for a new hairdresser on line by zip code! This was really risky, because I am VERY picky about my hair (what female isn't!) I left Lisa a voice mail, she called me back the same day, we discussed what I wanted and I made an appointment. I LOVE MY HAIR! I took a picture (of myself of how I wanted my hair, so I knew it was possible - it was MY hair!), She rocked it and has been rocking it ever since. She does tracks on the top of my hair , she does my cut and my color. AMAZING... It is such a comfort to find a hairdreser that listens to what I want it and can actually do it! read more

I purchased a groupon for a hair cut, highlights and blow dry. I was really pleased with Lesia's work and overall friendliness. My only critique is that I wasn't offered any water etc.. I have found my new hair stylist! Lesia is awesome and very reasonably priced. She took the time to explain each and every product she used and what it does for my hair. Have had my hair cut twice by Lisa (Lesia?) at Nikko Salon and both cuts have been among of the best I've ever had. Lisa is very friendly and great at cutting hair. Notably, the last hair cut she gave me was so good that I was able to go almost 4 months before cutting it again. As it grew out, it actually looked better and better. This time I had a Living Social coupon for cut and highlights, and she treated me with as much care and attention as if I was a full-paying customer. I told her I wanted to look like Meg Ryan, and when she was done I really did :) I highly recommend this stylist and will never get my hair cut anywhere else in L.A. read more

I purchased a groupon on living social for a haircut and blowout and was incredibly pleased with the beautiful job Lesia did. I had a memorial to go to and Lesia fit me in last minute for my appointment. Regardless of the increased traffic these website deals cause she fit me in for everything I needed done including adding a press at the very last minute during my appointment and was super accommodating. She did a gorgeous job, was extremely warm and friendly the entire appointment and was extremely accommodating. I'll be recommending her services to all of my friends! read more

Nikko Hair Studio is an awesome find. The studio is clean, welcoming and relaxing and Lesia is amazing! She is the kind of hairdresser that all girls dream about finding - one who actually listens to what YOU want without just moving forward with what SHE wants. She is knowledgeable about cut, color and products and I always leave her studio totally satisfied with my new hair. Just saw her today and while I was in the market afterwards two different people made a comment on how beautiful my hair color was and asked who did it. Can't recommend her highly enough :) read more

Not sure why it has taken me so long to write this review. I have been going to Lesia for about two years now. I have had nothing but great results from her. I even followed her from her shop in Encino. I swore I would NEVER cut my hair short as long as I lived. Then one day I decided to go for it. She made the transition so easy. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Then again, maybe it's a good thing I waited until I found her. As long as she is doing hair, I will be her client. read more
