This place is my favorite neighborhood spot. Really lovely, romantic atmosphere with beautiful red banquettes and dimmed lights. My date and I sat at a table by the window, clearly the best table for two. To start I had the foie gras, which had the perfect amount for one person, and every bite was delightful. It didn't need the chutney it came with. For my main, I had the duck leg. Duck confit is one of my favorite dishes, and I've had it in multiple places around the world. This was one of the best. Crispy skin, perfect meat underneath, and a bit of gravy to top it off. I can't stop thinking about it. My date had a mixed salad and the ribeye, both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. The manager recommended a beautiful Bourgogne wine, and his choice was spot on for the meal. We skipped dessert, as we were full from our meal. That said, I wish they had more than 3 options for dessert, as none of them seemed exciting (creme brulée, chocolate fondant, or some Nutella concoction).
Service was knowledgeable and attentive but not overbearing. Basically made us feel like we left London for the evening, and that's just what I need some times. read more
