Best thai in charlottetown. Affordable and delicious! Just don't be late picking it up or he will give your order to someone else.

Their pad Thai achieves harmonious balance--the equilibrium between sweet, sour, salty, and spicy components demonstrates philosophical understanding of Thai gastronomic principles. Curries display evident care in paste preparation and ingredient selection, with aromatic complexities unfolding gracefully across the palate. Fresh herbs--cilantro, Thai basil, kaffir lime--assert themselves with appropriate authority without overwhelming foundational flavours. Presentation maintains casual charm while manifesting undeniable care. Service proves attentive despite operational volume. While occasionally uneven execution surfaces, the culinary foundation remains solid, establishing this as a commendable Thai dining destination warranting patronage from cuisine enthusiasts.

Love that they are a family run operation, as we don't see many of those in Toronto. They were quick and efficient, even with a constant stream of orders coming in for pickup. Food is delicious and hits the spot. Be careful of the spice level though, because they don't play around. We ordered medium and I could barely eat it since it was so spicy. My husband's family happily enjoyed it though! A good sizable space to sit down and eat, but we took ours to go.

This one is in a…read morestrip mall off University Ave. You've probably had a lot of egg rolls at Thai and Chinese restaurants in your lifetime, and I guarantee that theirs will be the worst you've ever had. They don't even LOOK like egg rolls - soft, brown rectangular pouches. Seemed clearly manufactured in a factory elsewhere, and warmed up here. But don't take my word for it - stop in and order an egg roll - invest a few bucks for the experience of the worst egg roll you've ever had. On the front window was a big permanent sign, about their "famous Kung Pao chicken" with "homemade sauce". So we ordered that, and a couple of other dishes. I never found enough sauce to report on - I guess it was sprinkled on the top. But here was the problem: each main dish consisted of a layer of the main item, on top of a whole lot of plain white rice. About 1/4 of the ordered item and 3/4 plain white rice. So for the terrible egg rolls and paying for what was largely simply plain white rice, I can't give more than one star for them. And lest you think I'm a negative person who writes critical reviews, I've probably written about 25 restaurant reviews on Yelp over the past 25 years, and if you look them up, you'll find they're mostly 4 and 5 star reviews. I think this is the first time I've given 1 star.

The second night, while heading somewhere else, we saw the teeny-tiny sign in the window, saw a couple people inside, and decided to give it a try. There was nothing wrong with the food; it was absolutely average. My friend and I both had the pad Thai with chicken, and it was no better or worse than the pad Thai I've had anywhere else. I ordered mine very mild, but it was still spicy enough for me to guzzle my entire glass of water. Then I sat and hoped for a refill. It didn't happen. The restaurant is a bit odd. I gather they do most of their business in takeout: While we were dining, quite a few people came in to pick up orders. The dining room is just a few tables with plastic tablecloths and folding chairs. A single picture hanging on the wall in the only decoration. You place your order at the counter around the corner from the dining room, then take a seat and your food is brought to you. When you are done you get up and pay at the counter. No one checked on us while we were eating, although the girl at the counter was quite friendly. Being from California, where we are sometimes over-served in restaurants, I was not used to the payment system (the waiter doesn't bring the bill to you!), but we encountered this in most of the other restaurants we ate at in PEI, so I guess it's typical. If you're in the mood for Thai, you could do worse. If I lived in Charlottetown, I'd prefer eating in the comfort of my own home than in the restaurant. But the price was decent and the food was perfectly adequate.

The pad thai is delicious, as is the hot and sour soup. If you're hankering for thai here in Charlottetown, your choices are quite limited, however, this place satisfies the thai craving ;)
