Not helpful on a limited schedule. Won't release prescription so that we could order online.

The office ladies are so sweet and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Dr. Patrick seemed like he had my best interest in mind, but that changed quickly. Everything with the actual exam went fine. Dr. Patrick asked me if there was a specific brand of contact that I preferred. I told him the brand, but also let him know that I would like to try something new because that brand itched my eyes after a few hours of wear. That's when he suggested Acuvue oaysis. I informed him that I had tried those contacts before, and that they caused a burning sensation when I used them. He did not want to hear it. He told me to just try them for a week and come back in and we would discuss it. I'm not one to cause a fuss, so I agreed. Unfortunately, I forgot about my appointment and was unable to go back in for another month. I had tried the acuvue contacts and just as I had told the doctor before, I had the burning sensation in my eyes and they also constantly floated around. I informed the doctor of this and he was not happy. He started to get short and condescending with me. I told him I wanted the brand that I usually use and he told me something like they don't usually carry that brand but he'd give me an exception. He gave me a trial of these specific brand and then informed me that "this was my last chance." As a 20 year old woman, I did not appreciate being treated like a child. Especially from someone I was giving a considerable amount of money to. As I looked around his office, I noticed there were acuvue posters everywhere. This man probably gets a higher percentage off of acuvue than other brands of contacts and therefore does not care what is best for his patients, but only cares about his money. I ordered my contacts which the lady informed me would take about a week to come in and left in a hurry so that I would not have to deal with Dr. Patrick again. A week passed and I hadn't received a call from the office. I gave it a few more days and still no call. After 3 days I called in and asked if my contacts had come in yet and they informed me that they had not and that it would be another week. This went on for 2 more weeks. After 3 weeks of still not receiving my contacts, I went into the office and asked for a refund because it was apparent that I was not getting the contacts. The lady at the front desk was very nice and apologized multiple times. She asked if I was sure I wanted a refund and offered to send the order in again, but I told her that enough was enough and I just wanted my money back. She complied and went through with the refund. An hour after I left the office I received a call from the same lady at the front desk. She told me that my contacts had miraculously came in and wanted to know if I still wanted the refund or if I wanted my contacts. I decided to get my contacts only because it had been an entire month and I needed them, but I was heated. I will never go to this optometrist again. It's clear that Dr. Patrick does not care about his customers and only cares about his money. I refuse to be treated that way again.
