He immediately made a diagnosis and began treatment. But Dr. Jagela wanted a second opinion. He recommended a retina specialist in Columbus. The specialist in Cbus concurred with Dr. Jagela's diagnosis and was exceedingly impressed that he was able to identify the problem so quickly. Any time I call the office with an issue as simple as a sty, the office will schedule me immediately. The staff even went as far as scheduling my little emergencies around my teaching schedule! I can't say enough about Dr. Jagela and his accommodating and pleasant staff. My family and I have all trusted our eyes with him over the years; we could not recommend him more!! I will continue to recommend my friends to him as everyone is beyond satisfied. If you are searching for a doctor who cares about your vision as much as you do, look no further! Dr. Jagela, is the BEST!

They…read morealso don't answer the phone during posted open business hours and their answering machine says they are closed which isn't the case. Lastly, I have eye insurance that doesn't cover much and the optometrist wrote for an expensive medication instead of telling me there is a much cheaper identical equivalent of the benign medication that I should have been prescribed instead to begin with. I had to research myself to find out that the medications have the same mechanism of action but one costs much less. More importantly they should tell their patients about medication options instead of living in fear. Despite me taking the medication for years without doctor or insurance issue, the optometrist was too scared she'd get in trouble if she wrote for the less expensive medication. So I unfortunately ended up finding out this optometrist is against continuity of care out of fear that prescribing the less expensive med (which treats the exact same thing) wouldn't be covered as medically necessary and get her in trouble. Lesson learned, seen an ophthalmologist. People are terrified to prescribe the most innocuous medications these days. It's infuriating to have to hunt for confident prescribers. This is unfortunately not uncommon to find prescribers too scared to do their jobs, but it's completely unfounded and puts more work and cost on the patient.

He told me to wear them for 2 weeks it's just my brain and eyes adjusting. I called back about 4 days later - I couldn't see to drive or read at all. He got very annoyed with me. He was rude and talked down to me. I felt belittled and made to feel crazy because I struggled to see. He was sure to tell me that he did the prescription correctly and it's me not giving it a chance. So I obliged and gave it a good chance (headaches and all). I could not wear them to drive as it was dangerous. I called back and was told he would contact me. A few weeks later I received calls from a number. They were not leaving a message. I finally looked up the number to realize it was him calling. I called back. I put him on speaker phone so my husband could hear how he spoke to me. My husband was astounded. Dr. Gregory again was clearly annoyed by me. Insisted I would need glasses "like my grand parents wore" - his words - meaning bifocals. I questioned whether we could recheck the progressives maybe something was off. He quickly cut me off and said come in I'll give you a refund then hung up. He clearly doesn't believe that a mistake could of happened on his part. By the way my appt was in March. It's now September. 5/6 months later I'm without glasses and need to start all over with a doctor. I would never go back here!
