I haven't had my eyes checked in over three years. I was very happy with Dr. Kim's and her staff's friendly and professional service. I was given a very thorough eye exam and was evaluated for contacts and glasses. After my exam, I looked around the showroom for frames. I was able to narrow down my choices of frames with the help of Andre who was very knowledgeable and helpful. I have a follow-up appointment next week for the contacts and will make a decision on the frames I want for some glasses and sunglasses. Keep up the good work Carrollwood LensCrafters! read more

While the doctor was great, the service sucks. You can't get ahold of anyone! I've been calling this store for days to get my prescription and to now cancel my appointment, but I can't get a hold of anyone. Unfortunately, I have no option other than to physically walk in and get my prescription so that I can go somewhere else. After this recent visit, there's no benefit of returning. Their glassware selection has reduced by 1/3 and now there's new inexperienced management makes it less desirable to return. After about 30 minutes, I had chosen 7-8 frames to try on after my eye exam but the dilation drops made it too difficult to see. So I told the sales clerk that I'll be back tomorrow to try them on. She had acknowledged what I told her. When I returned the next day, she said she put all of them away. What's even stranger, was that she wasn't intelligent enough to write down what she put away. When I told the manager, she had told me that it was my fault because I didn't "stress enough" to her that I was indeed returning to the store the next day. I don't know what "stress enough" means: signing off in blood, leaving behind some jewelry, paying a deposit, screaming and cursing so they knew I was serious, etc. I never had this issue before this knowledge challenged manager and staff worked there. How would a customer know your definition of "stress enough" when I am a returning customer and only expect them to have a written inventory of what I chose but instead, you fault the customer. I don't understand it. With so much competition online & store, they need to step up their customer service since they don't have the luxury of losing customers but they definitely lost this one. read more

I had a great experience with getting an eye exam at this location. I've never had a comprehensive eye exam before - yes, I am one of those types that never go to an eye doctor for anything since I don't have prescription eye glasses, but it is always recommended to get an eye exam to know where your vision's health stands...so, I finally made an appt. to see Dr. Kim. The staff was very nice getting me all settled in, and I felt comfortable during the entire appointment. Dr. Kim is awesome, and she was very informative about my current vision status and answered all my questions that I had about the health of my eyes. During my time here, I did look around for glasses in their showroom. My advice is, come like 30 mins. earlier than your appt. time to shop around if you're looking to purchase glasses here because they do have a great selection of glasses/sunglasses from a variety of brands. My sister took forever trying to decide what pair she wanted from her top 5 picks :P I will definitely be coming here again for my next eye exam visit. :) read more

This was my second visit to LensCrafters in Carrollwood, FL. Originally (Feb 2020) , I worked with Bridgette who provided me with OUTSTANDING customer service in selecting (3) sets of eye ware and lenses with special coatings specific to their use. She was so engaging, confident in her knowledge and recommendations, explaining pros/cons so I could make an informed decision I felt confident with. She was sensitive to my cost constraints and did not try to upsell me. Further, she priced the (3) set of glasses to optimize my insurance coverage and minimize my out-of-pocket costs and where applicable applied additional savings from the insurance and in-store promotions, where applicable. It was an extraordinary customer service experience. Recently (June 2021), I returned to LensCrafters in Carrollwood, FL for both an eye exam with Dr. Kim. My prescription had changed and all (3) sets of eye ware needed updating. I was delighted to learn (post COVID19) Bridgette was still 'on staff'. That said, Kelly, the store's Retail Manager was kind enough to offer her assistance and helped me narrow down my choices for new frames while I waited for Bridgette to arrive. Together, Kelly and Bridgette provided yet another EXCEPTIONAL customer service experience. mask are no longer required in this state, yet the business choses to follow all those useless covid rules which did absolutely nothing to control the scamdemic. thieve lost mine and my families business for ever, for turning me away because i would not wear a mask. all the people in that store will later go into a restaurant sit and eat shoulder to shoulder with others not wearing mask in the same room, tell me why your requiring mask in your store when we all know your breathing the same air as everyone else everywhere you go. the ignorance and pretense is astounding. checking temperatures like two aspirins, Tylenols or ibuprofen wouldn't hide the fever, it's ridicules. your losing business by playing a game of follow the leader. i will not play this game with any business, you no longer exist to me. read more

Have had issues with optometry calling you back as they never answer nor call back. I went to my primary with what I thought was pink eye, he gave me some meds but said I'm not positive this is it see an optometrist asap. I called left serval messages that day 11-29. No call back so I called 11/30 and got through to eye glasses and they made them answer the phone. I was told she is not seeing patients which they could of called back on Monday. So I found a working optometrist and saw them on Wednesday and it is actually serious and then had to see a specialist on 12/3. We are waiting to see how much damage I have after the swelling goes down. The issues is they don't care about their patients would recommend my enemy to this place. read more

I went there for years to get contact lenses and glasses until my eyes developed a problem that required a specialist. Not only are they competent and pleasant, but they will do anything for you. One time my wife got something in her eye that I couldn't see and I drove her to this LensCrafters. Although their own doctor had left for the day, they spent 30 minutes at closing calling all over town to find us someone who still had an optometrist on site and who would wait for us. They also make adjustments and repairs on your glasses for free without asking if you are their customer. Highly recommended. read more

This review needs to be a no star rating. I do not recommend this location. Had a problem getting the correct script for glasses. Went back to doctor for a follow up because the original prescribed lenses were giving me horrible headaches after wearing for several weeks. Had to buy two different sets of lenses. After going to a different eye doctor I found out the Lenscrafters doctor was prescribing the wrong script. This location is all about making money. They do not listen to the customer nor do they try to make things right. Such a waste of time and money! read more

Jason came here to get new glasses on a Saturday and the whole experience was great. From the scheduling, to the arrival for the appointment, to the actual exam and then the actual selection of the glasses, the process was smooth. We were skeptical at first since it's a national chain but this store operates like a local shop but with the new technology of a leading chain. The receptionist and the doctor were both friendly and very informative. Jason had to get his eyes dilated so while the dilation was working, the doctor had him walk around the store with a mock up of his lenses so he could get used to the prescription. Jason was able to find several pairs of frames he liked. The glasses consultant was the nicest lady ever! The technology that LensCrafters has is amazing. They were able to take several pictures of Jason with the different pairs on so he could see what they looked like with his glasses on lol. He narrowed down his choices when he was called back to the doctor. His exam was then finished and his prescription was ready. We went back to the sales floor and he picked a nice pair of Ray Bans frames. We purchased the optional care plan so that he could get replacement frames or lens cheaper if anything were to happen. He also chose tranzitions and anti-glare. Then the sales lady took another picture of Jason with the frames on and that was how they got his measurements. Unfortunately, they didn't have the lenses in stock that day due to Jason's high prescription but they assured us that it would be ready within 2 weeks and he would get a text to come pick them up. The lady tried so hard to get us the glasses all in one day! One week later, he got the text and we raced to the store. We had got the store hours mixed up but the same lady saw us through the door and let us in even though they were closed! She said it was okay since they were still cleaning up and because she wanted Jason to get his new glasses! They look amazing on him and is actually improving his vision! I highly recommend this location on Dale Mabry. We actually live in New Tampa and purposely choose this location! read more

I really liked this store until I went in today to pic up my glasses and they would not allow me to enter without a mask. I've been fully vaccinated and the US government, the CDC and the state of Florida have made it clear that vaccinated persons need not wear a mask. They pointed out the CDC says businesses can choose to force customers to wear masks anyway. Well, too bad, so sad. They've lost me and my entire family as customers after 15 years because of their obvious political stance on mask wearing. The associate kept saying she just wanted to keep everyone safe. I pointed out that as a fully vaccinated individual, I was not a threat to anyone. Should I assume that everyone wearing a mask is unvaccinated? LensCrafters is refusing to follow the science and the guidelines set forth by authorities in this country. As a result, they're losing business. So incredibly silly of them. read more

I have been going to Lense Crafters for years now to have my eyes checked. The assistant there is amazing but the new eye doctor is not up to par. He is rude and seems to be very frazzled. I don't feel comfortable with his diagnosis or his demeanor towards me and my mother. Very surprised that this location brought him on their team. I will definitely be specifying who I want to have check my eyes from now on. read more

i have just returned to home from a most enjoyable buying experience. the lady that helped me was LISA. she gets 5 stars herself. she really had her stuff together and was the nicest salesperson that i have ever met. i told her my situation and we picked out frames that were in my price range and looked good too. she checked with the lab and said that they could have them ready in an hour or so. she also, put new nose pads on my old glasses. i decided to wait on them and sure enough they were ready as promised. if you need glasses, go to lenscrafters on n. dale mabry tampa. everyone else was very nice too, but maybe you will be lucky enough to experience LISA. read more

I went to this location once to get glasses. The issue I had with them was that I had to take my glasses back to them at least four times to readjust them, because they either hurt behind my ear, were too loose, were too tight, etc. They just couldn't seem to be able to adjust them correctly. I ended up just bending the glasses to make them more comfortable, but they would slide down my nose. Also they were expensive...Sigh. read more

I tried scheduling an appointment with Marcus. He was rude, which I tried to ignore. I agreed to a 12:15 appointment, and he confirmed me as "12:45." Then, on the day of the appointment, just to be sure I called to confirm my appointment time. I got Marcus again and he told me this time it was at 1 pm!! If they can't handle scheduling their patients, I don't know how I could trust them to get the rest of my requests (ie. contacts and glasses) correct either. For all I know, Marcus will read my prescription and change that 3 times before I get there! Dr. Steve Abrams at this location creeped me out. I'm not usually intimidated by docs, I get an eye exam every year. But this guy just made it weird, I was uncomfortable, he kept making me repeat myself like he wasn't even really paying attention to what I was saying or like if he was distracted by something else in the room. His "professional advice" sounded pretty hard to believe coming from such a mess of a guy. The girl I picked out my glasses with was nice, though not very helpful. Marcus at the front desk probably overcharged me. Overall I've been to lenscrafters many times inside Macy's in Miami, and inside Countryside Mall, and they were great. This location in Carrollwood left me with a bad taste in my mouth. read more
