I called ahead and was told I could just stop in at anytime for help, especially with an exam already available. Get a new manager! The woman working there February 2026 is terrible! I have PTSD and asked her to go away from me as I wanted to wait for my salesperson and she said No! And even stepped closer to me. I again said please give me space and she refused to leave my space. I had to leave the store - I've been trying to get glasses since April 2025 and they even put the wrong prescription lenses in my glasses so it's been a horrible experience. But to have a manager not give someone space when they are asked to because of ptsd is inexcusable!! I do not recommend this LensCrafters location and the manager should be demoted and retrained asap!! read more

I am usually not wanting to leave reviews, especially on any sort of doctors office, but I would not come back to this office. My husband and I both had appointments, 20 minutes apart from each other. We arrived 10 minutes early, but the both of us did not get in and out of our appointments for two hours! There is only one doctor there, and I personally was not impressed. When we were done with our checkup, and we got our prescription to get Glasses. They have a great selection of glasses, but we ended up paying $250 out-of-pocket each for our glasses, and that is after insurance and a $250 frames stipend from the company that I work for. I have never paid that much for a pair of glasses and this is my 4th pair. The cherry on top for me was the attitude from the sales women who help with glasses fittings and ordering. One of the women is very condescending and how she talks to everyone, and I saw her interact with other customers, people on the phone my husband and myself. I don't feel like I did anything to inconvenience her aside from being a customer on a mildly busy day , but interacting with her had me wanting to get out of there as soon as possible. I came back a week later to pick up my prescription glasses, and I was not impressed by the second sales woman. She was paying more attention to her coworker than she was to me, and watching her input my information in the iPad was painful, it was so slow. I felt very pressured in to buying a second pair of frames That were way out of my price range. I decided not to buy and I could see the judgement from her and her coworkers for deciding to stick with only the one $250 pair of glasses. Overall, the entire experience was uncomfortable for me. Reduce, reuse, recycle at LensCrafters? Bring in a pair of your dearly loved glasses purchased from LensCrafters rather than buying new? You can, but you'll pay dearly for not buying new frames for your updated prescription lenses. I'd consider myself a loyal, returning customer, and my saved purchase history on their data base says so, too. The low rating is due to LensCrafters customer service to returning customers. I own a pair of Burberry frames purchased from LensCrafters several years ago. I wanted to buy updated lenses with my new prescription for my Burberry glasses. I was quoted $500.00 for new lenses only. What a sticker shock! It's considerably less to buy new frames and lenses than reuse a beloved LensCrafter frame. LensCrafters should allow for the same 50% lens savings when using frames previously purchased from them. Why should I remain a loyal LensCrafter customer now? With all the reasonably priced completion, I'll be shopping around next time. read more

Called Lenscrafters on July the 25th and the woman answered the phone and I asked her when does my warranty go out on my glasses so she told me August 25th. So i take them today which is August 11th and they told me my warranty ran out in July 22th... they need to do better being that I brought two pair of glasses that cost over 1000 dollars... I've been going here for years and my visit yesterday proved why I will continue to go here. The eye doctor is patient, kind and an EXPERT!!! My prescription is perfect every time. His assistant is the kindest. On the other side where ordering glasses and contacts takes place.... perfect service!!! They repaired my sunglasses while I was seeing the doctor at this visit. Fantastic customer service. We live 25 minutes away and there are plenty of eye glass places much closer to us but they just can't match the wonderful people that work here. I've been taking my son here since he was four years old and they are great with kids and very knowledgeable about picking the right frames for his face and the weight of his frames. I've even called before we've come to ask a question and gotten there and they had already had frames put to the side for him to try because they remembered he had such a tiny face. The customer service in the retail area is woefully lacking. Purchased a pair of glasses that I was very happy with. When I went to pick that pair up, decided that I also wanted to purchase a second pair. The store was extremely busy; so much so, that the lady from the lab had to assist me. She was very nice and helpful. Rather than wait for a new technician, I said that I would call the original technician. Called three times over a week, spoke with a person and left my name and number each time for a call back. No call back. The fourth call, I asked to be put on hold. While I was on hold, a lady who was not my original technician came on the phone and started asking me all these questions saying I needed to have this and this and that I would need to come in and be measured for the second pair of glasses. I explained that that had already been done by the first technician. I tried to explain that everything she had asked about had already been completed. She would not listen. She simply talked over me. The original technician who had all the details and measurements never contacted me. I'm going elsewhere to purchase a second pair of glasses. read more

Liz, the "eyeglass consultant" took nearly an hour to help me, as she repeatedly had to restart the processing of my order and take a frankly ridiculous number of attempts to photograph my eyeglass fit before I had to fix my frame fit for her, then let her take a final try at it. After all that the explanation of benefits they handily printed had incorrect information, and she made it all the way through my purchase without updating my address so she had to refile it to get my contacts sent the right place. Meanwhile, as there is only two "eyeglass consultants" in the store, three other people had to do what I had to do the first three times I came to the store this week: browse the glasses for five minutes, wait another ten for any one to notice help or acknowledge, wait another five to give up and leave without getting anything done. This problem is from the top down. Dr Jay Jackson, the OD at this location is excellent though, so get him to look at your eyes, then take your prescription literally anywhere else. Oh and just as a fun update: she actually did send my contacts the wrong place. read more

Let me start the review by saying we have been coming to this location for many years to purchase frames. Prior to this occasion we have had great experiences. I realize we are in the midst of COVID-19 distancing, but this experience was ridiculous. My husband an eye appointment to get fitted for contacts they had to order. We walked in and a lady asked if we had any questions or how she could help him. He told her he had an appointment. My husband started asking her a question about a call about frames that came in on a back order. and she said she didn't have time to "deal with this" because she was busy with a customer. Well then why ask if he needed help? The lady in the doctors office waved us back. I started back and the other lady who had already brushed off my husband told me I had to leave. I asked if I could just stand at the stone entrance to the store or sit in the window sill. She told me I had to go outside because they couldn't have more than 10 people. I was completely fine given the social distancing rules. I asked if I could please just get his car keys so I could wait in the car. She told me I had to leave that moment and "don't bother coming back." I went outside and called my husband to see if he could bring his keys up so I could sit in the car. He told me to come in and get them. I told him I couldn't because there were too many people. He brought the keys to me and I opened the door to get them. Then she (the lady) said "I told you not to come back." I was literally standing outside the store with not even a toe across the threshold. Then I watched her welcome a group of six adults in to the store. In 45 minutes no one else has come out. read more

Stay away. The Dr tried to tell me I had undiagnosed astigmatism, when I've been wearing glasses and contacts with a light Rx for over 10 years. "Almost the entire population has it, no doctor wants to tell patients about it because everyone has it and they don't want to explain it." When he looked at the two pairs of glasses I brought in, neither had the astigmatism correction. He suggested that I get new glasses given the astigmatism but when I questioned him further given that the contacts he recommended didn't need to correct astigmatism, why did I need to purchase new glasses? The Rx was staying the exact same. And oh by the way the contacts were pretty much the most expensive ones. "Oh I don't know the pricing, I just recommend what's best for your eyes." Uh huh.... My contacts were supposed to be delivered May 4th. They are now 8 days late and the location can't figure out why they haven't showed up. They don't have a tracking number for the shipment. And I can't do anything with the rebates until I get them in hand. I would never return to this location. read more

I made an appt two months ago for yesterday (Saturday) at 5:15. I arrived on time. There were three people ahead of me and one doctor working. At 6:00 one man was taken back, the lady ahead of me was still waiting (her appt was scheduled for 5:00), and I was still sitting. At that point, I told the lady at the counter I was leaving, that I had made my appt two months ago, and I obviously still had a long wait ahead of me. This is the pattern every time I go to LensCrafters. It's time for me to find another place to get my glasses.... read more

The retail areas customer service was so disappointing. It was even sadder to watch the attendants ignore the African American customers that came in before me. Several white customers came in after them, including myself, and we were assisted before them. I decided to leave and so did the African American customers. Had to call the mall location to actually place an order after the 12 Oaks refuse to take order when I called at 4:41 pm finally returned call at 7:44 - 3 hours later. I would highly discourage using this clinic. I checked in for an exam yesterday and was told that I would only be charged $45 for a contact fitting and then a discount on eye glasses and lenses. I had a full exam, including my eyes dilated. While I was waiting for an examination from the dilatation, I was told my insurance did not cover the exam. I would have to pay out of pocket. The receptionist that checked me in was cold and unfriendly from the start. She said if I believed it was a mistake, I needed to contact my carrier. I asked her if I could pay out of pocket and then once the insurance was straightened out, I could be reimbursed. She replied that it would be too much trouble and I needed to work out my own issue. With my dilated eyes, I researched the issue with my insurance and found out my medical coverage would cover the exam. I informed the receptionist. She stated that Dr. Jackson was an optometrist and could not bill my insurance. I would need to go to an ophthalmologist. I spent 2 hours for the entire process only to walk away without contacts and dilated eyes. If the receptionist had been diligent from the start, I would not have wasted my time. I kindly requested a trial pair of lenses so that I could see properly when I left the clinic. I was told unless I paid for the exam, the clinic would not help me. read more

My father, 82 and not in good health, insisted on this Lenscrafters. We had a prescription, but had to wait a long time. It appeared there was a problem with the computers, so I asked and an employee grunted yes. Finally they were able to finish the order and said it would be about 10 days before the glasses came in and would call. I felt there was little concern and no explanation for our long wait. I felt it was a little expensive as well. Eleven days later I called to see if the glasses had come in, as Dad was anxious to get new glasses after his cateract surgeries. The employee rudely replied that they call and let us know, but if she had time she would check to see if they were in and call back, that they were really busy. Six hours later I called again and was advised by another employee (who had time to check apparently) that they were in. I will encourage Dad to go somewhere else in the future. If you don't have time for us, we don't have time for you. If you are too busy, let us help you be less busy by encouraging everyone we know to go elsewhere. read more

I have used the LensCrafters Twelve Oaks location in Savannah GA since 2014. In May of this year (2017), I got a new pair of glasses - progressive lenses, transitions, anti-glare. By November of the same year I noticed the inside of my lenses looking scratched. I went back to them in December to show them and find out what was going on. Before even looking at my glasses, one employee told my husband I was not cleaning them properly even though I was using their cleaner and wipes. After waiting for approx. 20 minures a young woman finally looked at them and said it was the anti-glare coating coming off and that it was due to improper cleaning. She then said I'd need new lenses at my expense. Really? I had my previous glasses for 3 years and never had this type of thing happen. Obviously this coating is not worth a penny! I then asked the young woman to have the manager Lisa call me. She took my phone number but the manager has never called me back! It's been weeks since I've been there - still waiting to get that phone call, Lisa. Customer service is obviously not a priority. Bottom line - go out to Michels craft store and buy a bottle of Armour Etch for under $10.00. It removed the etchings and now I see clearly once again! Bottom line folks - DO NOT get anti-glare coating on your glasses and do not ever go to LensCrafters! Worst experience ever! Shame on them! read more
