You can get an enjoyable experience every time, well almost every time…read more Very helpful staff and aim to please but due to staff shortage and high attrition rate, the service experience suffers especially within the pharmacy section. Things are not always bad but also not always great, the importance is in the attempt to make them better.

After moving to the West Island a few years back, I had transferred my file here since it was close…read moreto my house and conveniently open until midnight. It all goes downhill from there. My review is strictly based on my experience at the prescription counter/pharmacy section. The wait to get a prescription filled is oddly long regardless of what time or day you visit, having waited a half hour on more than 1 occasion with barely any customers present. They used to have great staff at the counter who were professional, and kind but now the staff has completely changed and they are rude and very unpleasant to deal with. Every single time I go I witness an unpleasant exchange of words between a staff member and a client, not acceptable. They have also made errors in entering my insurance information making me have to pay upfront and return for a refund after my insurance company confirms that my coverage is active, but staff incorrectly entered my birth date or coverage info, and then of course returning for the refund I got attitude from the staff member and no apology for their error. Tired of dreading going to pick up a prescription I finally switched pharmacies and what a difference. I've even called and left a message for the pharmacist when switching my families file to another pharmacy to speak to him about my concerns and as expected, never got a call back. Funny thing, when I called the nearby Uniprix to switch my file they automatically guessed which pharmacy I was transferring my file from, guess I am not the only one!

To whom this may concern,…read more I came to Fairview Pointe Claire Store 316 to have an eye exam done for the SAQ as I am a Type 1 Diabetic, and the SAQ requires a form to be filled out by an optometrist. My appointment was for 5:30pm June 14 and I was greeted by a very kind & professional lady who had done all the preliminary screening tests for my eyes before the optometrist saw me. Upon examining my eyes & vision & filling out my form, the optometrist (Dr. Ossama) who was equally kind an professional advised me to wait for who I assume is the store manager/owner and this is when I was taken by surprise. This gentleman named Ali, *despite* being shown a special slip from Emploi et Solidarité Sociale Quebec was adamant that I had to pay an *exceptionally* high fee to the tune of $150! The very *purpose* of this slip is that it covers the cost of EYE EXAMINATION for my family due to circumstances that I will not outline here, but obligate the optometrist (in this case) to send the bill directly to the Quebec government to cover the cost. I have come here before last year with *great* service from the employees, and our Emploi et Solidarité Sociale Quebec claim form was not an issue before (this was with Dr. Hong). Aside from this terrible experience, I had completely forgot to mention I didn't have ANYTHING to show for my $150 aside from the Dr. filling out my form. I had to *ASK* for a copy my prescription, and didn't get a copy of *any other documents* the Dr. had made, which I'm sure the Quebec government would like as proof of services when filing with them directly to justify this amount charged. I have to say that I DID have a conversation yesterday with the Regional Manager Amir, and the very unfavorable outcome according to the store manager Ali that I will have to WAIT 60 WORKING/BUSINESS DAYS for RAMQ to get me my money back due to his *INSISTENCE* I file with RAMQ myself. My increasingly single biggest regret to coming to your Fairview store was not having come with my wife. She would have talked some sense into me and encouraged me to refuse the outright ridiculous $150 fee I was initially justified by Ali as "the optometrist would not have done certain tests NOT covered if they knew I had a claim slip from from Emploi et Solidarité Sociale Quebec", which directly contradicts what Amir said earlier about the $70 for my SAQ form being "standard Optometrist fee, not covered by RAMQ". Which is it? Either *Amir* or Ali are lying to me, and at this point I have no intention of changing my 1 star review on Google until after I *hopefully* hear back from RAMQ by SEPTEMBER 8, 2023. I made the HUGE mistake of trying to tell my wife not to call Ali *rude* yesterday, when in actuality she was absolutely right. He *WAS* rude to me in the fact that this ENTIRE situation could have been avoided had he just handled the situation PROPERLY i.e. taken the less than 5min to look at my Emploi et Solidarité Sociale Quebec claim slip and just handled it there. Apparently, I'm not the only person who has come to this store and had an issue with the (SEVERE lack of) customer service provided by staff members like Ali. As a person who has over 25 years experience in customer service/technical support for ALL manner of businesses such as Bell and Fujitsu over the years, I have to say that Ali is an extremely POOR EXAMPLE of someone I would NEVER leave not only working, let alone managing a store that would ultimately DAMAGE my brand/business in the long-term, as he seems to be good at doing judging by the other reviews for this particular location. If I were Ali/Amir, I'd realize $150 is very little to fix a situation that Ali seems to be focused on blaming me for, which in hindsight is now going to cost your company many, MANY potential clients & this store's reputation (i.e. MUCH more money, since that seems to be what motivates Ali's actions) given my review as well as those others that have had equally poor customer service experiences at your Fairview 316 location.
