Fantastic place to get glasses. The prices cannot be beaten. I encourage you to get a quote and try…read moreto compare with other places. They are top notch. They made me glasses in less then an hour, and when I had to order them in they were quick. I will be getting my glasses from here exclusively in the future. Highly recommend all their sales people, they really want you to get the best deal. ALso, cannot say enough positive things about the doctor, Ian Scholfield. Best optometrist around, always willing to find you a solution.

RE: Image Optical Woodgrove Mall Nanaimo BC Having bought…read moreone pair of glasses ($400.+) I had to go back because no one there had checked the appropriateness of the prescription for the reading part. Corrected with only a little pushing necessary. Later, I got another pair that will not sit squarely on the face, They are 'superflex' frames and go askew easily, constantly, making reading difficult and nauseating. As well, the bottom frame of the glasses do not fit in the channel of the frame making the glare from the bottom of the lenses brilliant at the bottom of my vision. When I returned to the store I basically got the brush off and there is nothing they can do beyond an adjustment to the ear pieces that does not fix anything. I have taken a felt marker to darken the edge of the exposed lenses at bottom so they don't glare into the eyes. That works though it looks off and if anyone asks I am happy to tell them where I got these substandard glasses. What is the point of having anti glare and transition applied at great expense only to be defeated by glare from the bottom of the lenses??? $400.00 buys a lot of bad advertising.

I have been wearing glasses since 1974. I've purchased glasses from a wide variety of stores…read moreincluding; small-town shops, middle-of-nowhere sketchy looking shops, in French (which I don't speak), and Online. This is my LEAST favorite experience of them all. I am unhappy with both pairs of glasses because they seem off-kilter or something? My eyes ache and my head hurts wearing either pair even after having them for 2 weeks. BEWARE of their No Refunds policy that they don't have on the website or tell you about. I was able to return my online purchases-I'm telling you this because they use "cheaper than online" as a marketing tool. If they were upfront about exchange only, I would have bought online instead. To give Image Optical a chance to do better, I tried to speak with the Manager John Faires about these issues and Never got a callback. Then I sent 2 emails and filled out a customer survey. Nothing. I had to call in repeatedly to get someone to complete the Insurance portion which took almost 2 weeks to get Image Optical to follow up on. My 2 pairs of expensive glasses ($550) were due max 2 weeks later. 1 pair was ready. I got a variety of excuses pertaining to the missing pair. 2 days later the young guy told me they didn't pass quality control after I was previously told by the assistant manager they had been shipped. I said to Jaren that it took Image Optical from (March 26th until May 4th) to get me glasses that weren't even progressive lenses. (I have proof) "No, it isn't taking that long" was his response. (Not, We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience) or any other quality customer service words. I am now uncomfortable with having to go into the store to exchange these unsatisfactory and expensive glasses. The way I was spoken to and the poor quality service influenced my decision to warn other consumers by writing this review.
