I would not recommend this location at all--completely unprofessional. My mother-in-law had an appointment today, 11/22, at 9:00 AM for a screening mammogram. She arrived at 9:13, and they told her she could not be seen because she was late. However, Lenox Hill Radiology has a 15-minute grace period, which means she still had 2 minutes left before being considered late and Cancelling her appointment. The PSR, Kimberly, informed her and me that the tech refused to see her because of her delay, even though the grace period was still valid. This comes across as an unwillingness to do their job rather than following the clinic's stated policy. Extremely disappointing experience. read more

I spoke to a representative who booked 3 appointments, the appointment time was 6:40am. I check in early, go for my first exam and then I'm told I have to wait TWO HOURS for my other exams because the techs aren't coming until 9am. I was never informed nor confirmed a 9am appointment. I confirmed a 6:40am appointment. This place is ridiculous, extremely inconsiderate with patients time, no proper communication from check in to check out, and apparently they make their own rules regardless what your doctor sends you for. read more

This location is awful. Yesterday - was my appointment for a mammogram which is a yearly one. I have been going to this location for years; so, yesterday, there was a huge problem. This location did not contact to let me know that my appointment was cancelled because there are no techs at this location. FYI - I was home all day on Friday 7/19/24. I phoned them before I left the house at 7:00AM to reconfirm my 8:30 AM appointment. I was told by Karen that the number on file was used and that the mailbox was full. How can the mailbox be full - the number on file is a landline and I did not give you my cell phone. I then asked for the next available appointment; she said there are none @ this location; until 2025. So, then I said then make an appointment for 2025. She put me on hold and came back and said she could not do that - this location Pelham Bay is no longer providing Mammograms - I said thank you and hung up. Called back 20 minutes later and explained what happened to another rep. and was told that the next available appointment is at 350 Fordham Road and that location is most convenient for you. It is not - the next nearest location is Parkchester; put on hold for 5 minutes and the next available appt is 8/21 between the hours of 1PM - 4 PM - Rep explained to me that all techs are out today so all appts were cancelled at the location. I then asked to be transferred to a supervisor to put in a formal complaint - Spoke to Kim who explained Pelham Bay is offering Mammograms but all techs are not available now and there is no replacement for them now or in the foreseeable future. Put in a complaint on their website and got a call back within 1 1/2 from Carmen shift supervisor and was told that the rep should not have told you that; the Pelham Bay location is still offering Mammograms; don't know why she mentioned that mailbox was full because the number on file is a landline with answering machine. The rep couldn't make an appointment for 2025 is just ridiculous. She should have been able to do that. I have to get back to you and find out what is going on. Still waiting...hopefully she will get back to me. I find this whole experience very sad. FYI - I LOST A DAY OF PAY because of this. The best way for compensation would be 1/2 of the paycheck of the employee that told me the incorrect information; plus 1/2 of the paycheck of the supervisors (Kim & Carmen). I've read bad reviews but you cannot please everybody. My experience here was great. The initial wait after signing wasn't bad and the intake person, Jeanette, was very pheasant and helpful. I didn't have an authorization. She made two calls and it was a go. She also took the time to suggest if I drove, that there was a parking lot. I thanked her mentioning I parked outside on the meter for two hours. She assured me I'd be out before it expired. After five minutes, she escorted me to the back. I was then approached by Christine, my technologist, who explained I needed to drink two bottles of water before my imaging. Ughhh. That was the not-so-fun part of my visit. Lol. They staff is so unprofessional here. I had a 3:45pm appointment I was told to arrive no later than 3:15pm. I arrived at 3:00 and was not seen until 5 and left after 7:00pm. The entire building was closed when I left. A complete ghost town. I asked several times when I was being seen and kept getting told in 20 minutes. I commuted here so I left my house from 1pm wanted to make sure I was early. Didn't get back home until almost 9:30pm. I will never return here and urge anyone who is considering coming to go else where. Another huge issue was a woman arrived at 5pm who had a 3:30 appointment and she was also seen before me although she missed her appointment by 2.5 hours. From making an appointment and to finish my mammogram, only the nicest people i talked to. All questions answered nicely. The only complaint... You're online registration to take a picture of ID and insurance doesnt work. I did it many times but it did not go through but it is easy to resolve since they can do it in the office. I had set up an appointment for 1:40pm. It was 2:40 and was still not seen. I had to leave to avoid getting a parking ticket. I rescheduled my appointment. I am now sitting in the waiting room about 30 minutes after my new appointment time and date and there is no end in sight to my waiting. Very poor service I do not suggest anyone come here. I had an 8:30am appointment. They requested I arrive 8:15. I did with completed paperwork online. The technician finally retrieved my from the lobby at 8:45am. put me in a dressing room and left me to wait. Admittedly, i grow impatient quickly, however, i did make an appointment for the beginning of the day. If it were not for my pacing in and out of the waiting room, I don't think she would have come to get me for my mammography. She was getting herself a bottle of water and promised to take me next, apparently that meant right now. finally at 9:10am. I was to have an breast ultrasound as well. WELL! apparently at 9:10 (with an appointment) those technicians were "too busy" to take me. I had to leave. I needed to get to work. I stopped at the front desk to ask to speak to a manager ( I did not catch her name but she was very helpful and understanding) The manager took me aside to explain to me they were experiencing an emergency. huh?! in ultrasound? if that was truly the case, I would not have heard the technicians shout out that they were too busy, with all of them in the same room. Made an appointment for my mammogram last month drove there to find out they changed my appointment to another week. I told them why wasn't I informed? apparently they called a number that I never use, but you would think they would call my cell phone which is also listed in their records. unprofessional!!! Perhaps the worst medical office in the Bronx. No matter what time your appointment is you will wait for two plus hours. My appointment was for 10:40am, told to be there at 10 to fill out paperwork. Paperwork done by 10:15. Still sitting in the waiting room at 11:40. Asked what was going on and was told they were an hour behind. I hate this place. They suck. Oh, how I miss the great medical care I get elsewhere. Whenever I am subjected to coming to this hellhole there is a part of me that wants to sit in the lobby and cry. I have been here twice and the first come, first serve nature of this place can often make wait times damn near unbearable. I have to beg them to send doctors' reports where they should go. The day after my appointment, I was called and told that I had missed my appointment and should reschedule. Uhhhh, I was there yesterday?!?!?! What missed appointment?!?!?! The receptionist then asks, "Are you sure you came?" I don't have dementia; I have a cyst. "Am I sure?" Complete incompetence. I would say I am never going back to this place, but the location is convenient to my doctor's office and my practice seems insistent on using this screwed up operation. I agree with the other 2 prior reviews posted. This is the WORST PLACE known to man & DO NOT WASTE your time coming here. They have no regard for patient care or time. The wait time & paperwork is RIDICULOUS !!! My ENT insisted I come here twice but I have since changed him, too (lol) During my Good Friday appt., which was at 9 a.m. due to "fasting", the doctor has the nerve to call in late & says she won't be there until 11:00 -- it is 11:30 and she's still NOT there. (Uhh-hello ... I haven't eaten or drank anything in over 6+ hours). Staff lies & says she's had an emergency. LIAR! I later find out she's in a meeting. (really ??!!!) When you ask for the person in charge (Director), he/she is NEVER around (same happened a year prior). I've never met anyone not employed by Corporate America to be in SOOOO many meetings. What are they meeting about -- a staff overhaul ??? (they need to be). Tooo many places in NYC to be bothered with this ghetto (mindset) facility. Ain't nobody got time for this! Great experience, took my son as a walking for chest xray. Was Expecting quite a wait as walkin. Peasantly surprised. Friendly staff, front desk n tech. Gave me stat result status, so the doctor got results same day. Got in at 8:30am and was out the door by 9:15. only thing there is a parking lot convenient given the area, but u have to pay. $5.00 for 1 hr. That's y 4 n not 5. I guess I should consider myself lucky to have gotten a quick appointment (on the same day I called) and did not have to wait too long (altho I guess a 30 min wait is expected just about everywhere one goes? Anything beyond that, is a little bit excessive for imaging). I was very impressed by the techs who tended to me (they were friendly, professional, accommodating and seemed to genuinely care about me. Which is a trait often lacking in the healthcare profession by some. AND MOST OF ALL, no attitude). The front desk staff is another story -- not very friendly nor professional (wearing a white lab coat, doesn't make you a professional anything other than a professional jerk). They (as in 2 at front desk) were not very informative or helpful considering it was my first time there and did not know protocol in juggling two back-to-back appointments nor were they clear in answering my question. Cannot have it all, I guess? Once I made it pass registration (front desk), it certainly felt like I entered a different world (as I was tended by individuals not of this country. Says a lot about natural-born Americans -- the arrogance and false sense of entitlement is alive and well for many who are a legend in their own minds). Three star rating was because of the techs (would have liked to have given 4 stars but first impressions, at front desk, are everything). I would give 0.1 stars if i could. Absolutely terrible facility. No regard for customers. Too well over 3 hours and they weren't sure why we went to them. They appeared to have nurses call patients at random therefore appointment times don't even matter. Someone can have a later appointment than you and go in before you. Unbelievable how far medical treatment has fallen in this country. The receptionist don't even know how long an average wait time is. Arrived on time for my 12noon appointment for an "Open MRI". After waiting until 2:30pm I was told the tech had "someone on the table" so they couldn't give me an estimate on my continued wait. I requested a refund and return of all paperwork I'd completed. Suddenly the wait became 5 minutes because the "tech will take the patient off the table". Once in the procedure area the "OPEN MRI" I requested when scheduling the appointment, was a traditional MRI - they don't even have an OPEN MRI at this location! read more

Im dumbfounded that i had to wait until Monday to contact a billing person to be told they have to review with their billing department. A medicare supplement plan covers copays since its a part F. Made an appointment for an MRI and everything was great with scheduling and the front desk staff. My only complaint is with the person who administered the MRI, he is very rude and unwelcoming. I had never had one and he made me very uncomfortable, I would not get another one here just because of how nasty this man was. So I arrived to my appointment on time and everything seemed to go smoothly. I was sent to change and informed that it would take a while due to person ahead of me (no problem). Once it was my turn, the women in the X-ray room asked me several times if I was pregnant (as if I was being interrogated) and then informed me that I needed to take a pregnancy test because I am of child-bearing age. (Again....no problem). Then one woman stated I would have to change back into my clothes & purchase the test at the pharmacy around the corner, since they do not carry them in the facility. The other woman who was taking notes stood there blankly (sorta like a deer caught in the headlights). Which to me, is totally unacceptable if it's standard to ensure that a woman is not pregnant before performing an X-ray exam. I left and scheduled an appointment at another establishment in the Bronx. This was a complete waste of my time, I could have done something more rewarding after work. I called around Lenox Hill Radiology to further explore my concern and just received apologies. To instruct a patient that they have to change back into their clothes & purchase a pregnancy test so that DOSHI/LENOX HILL can ensure you're not pregnant is distasteful and completely unprofessional. I would give this facility a zero if it was available. The rating says it all, but also the billing department is handled by offshore staff from another country - India. There is such a delay in getting someone on the phone to handle their billing mishaps, but then you have people who can't speak the english language properly. This place is a joke. read more
