The office is clean enough, but they have this kiosk that you have to use to sign in. They send you a link that is useless because your unable to click it. The staff have no idea why it doesn't work. So you now have no choice but to sign in on the kiosk which is not user friendly. The whole process is frustrating. DO BETTER read more

This place is a clear product of its environment, and that's truly unfortunate. I really wish the Bronx had better care facilities and that employees were paid well enough to come to work with better attitudes. It's disappointing to see such a stark difference in service and quality between a Quest Diagnostics location in Manhattan versus one in the Bronx, and it's largely due to the people running it. Ironically, these same individuals would be shocked at the effects of gentrification--but these conditions speak volumes about why it happens. There's absolutely no reason a facility that conducts drug screenings shouldn't have basic necessities like water cups available. If they run out, someone should be responsible for ensuring that supplies are replenished to maintain the standard of service advertised in the commercials playing on repeat in the lobby. What's worse, I was handed a urine cup and told, "It's clean," as if that alone makes it acceptable to put my mouth on it. That is not okay. Even if the facility is in a lower-income area, companies like Quest should maintain consistent standards of care and professionalism, no matter the location. read more

We all know that a standard component of having your annual physical is getting bloodwork done. In the past this was really easy for me, since a diagnostics lab was located in the same building as my PCP's office. However, since last year they vacated the spot, so I needed to find a new place to get bloodwork done. Because this Quest is now the closest lab to my PCP's office, I thought it would be the most practical place to go. I infer that diagnostic labs have been really overwhelmed these days with the emergence of readily available COVID-19 testing. This Quest especially - since they had to take on that load *plus* my PCP's displaced patients. Because of that, they do not accept walk-ins. It's easy enough to make an appointment - Quest has an app and a number of locations to choose from. I arrived around 9am; there were two people ahead of me but I only waited around 15 minutes before being seen. Lots of reviews here complain of the slow process, but that wasn't my experience. I can see where they can slow down if it's busy, but in today's day and age most businesses are prone to that. The entire process went smoothly - I have notoriously deep veins but the phlebotomist did a good job finding one, and before I knew it I was out of there. Overall, I had a good experience at Quest - the process was smooth, plus they have a good digital interface where you can access your results. If I need to get bloodwork done again I wouldn't be against going here. read more

Although the service is fast, the attitude of the staff is poor. I didn't hear her calling my son's name as I was talking to my husband. This person rolled her eyes on me. When we got inside, she asked if I forgot my son's name. Wow. What kind of attitude is that? And she wasn't joking. I explained to her the reason I didn't respond right away. This treatment is highly inappropriate. This person has serious issues and she should get a reality check, check herself and get help. If she can be this way to patients, I wonder what kind of person she is to ordinary people. There is no room for healthcare with her attitude. read more

I needed to do a drug test for pre-employment screening and the process was super easy. To sum it up, I walked in at 10:10am for a 10:30am appt, was called in at 10:17am, completed the testing, and was out the door by 10:25am with my paperwork. Although I technically didn't have an appointment (only had confirmation of the location), I walked in on a Friday around 10:10am and used to kiosk to check-in, which then prompted me to make an appointment. Waiting room was pretty busy - approximately 7 other people waiting. The next available appointment was 10:30am so I took it and waited. My email confirmation mentioned that I should stay on-site if I'm unable to produce a sample and although my appointment hadn't started yet, I didn't want to risk leaving (besides, it's super humid and hot outside). I was called within 10 minutes, checked-in with the collector whom asked for my ID and email confirmation with my registration number, who then escorted me to the bathroom and explained what I needed to do (don't flush or wash your hands; a blue liquid is poured into the toilet which I assume is to ensure there is no contamination with your sample). They lock your bag in a little locker and hold onto the key but the locker is in the bathroom with you so you know your belongings are safe. You have 3 minutes to produce your sample and he takes it and pours it into the testing tube which you need to initial. You then pour the remaining urine (if any) into the toilet and can then flush and wash your hands (he provided the soap dispenser after). I retrieved my bag and was brought back to the room to sign and complete the paperwork. The whole process was smooth. Although I didn't speak with the receptionist, she had a straight face and kept directing everyone to the kiosk. The only person I interacted with was my collector and he was all business which I'm okay with - he got me in and out quickly, technically before my official appointment time! read more

So early this am, I arrive with my son. We get there about 6:50, doors open at 7! No one is out on line, but us. Minutes before 7, 2 different parties show up. The technician Inside opens up the door, one guy goes ahead of me. I didn't say anything! He starts to sign in, and starts to say, I am cutting the line, they were there first. Well, funny thing, I was there, no one was around. They were in their cars! So then the technician chimes in, a Male, also. I am the only female there. He said "do you have an appointment"? I said no, it's first come, first serve! Well.... the guy behind me starts in, REALLY???? It's 7 am. They were all verbally hanging up on me! I said well just an fyi I was here Saturday am, and the girls couldn't get the facility opened! So the tech says " what does that have to do with today". It had nothing to do w today, just saying! So he was on the other guys team. I was totally out numbered, in more then 1 way. So I sit after my son signs in! After my son is done, the guy behind me, which I will not say any of These guys were gentlemen, chimes in AGAIN! Says god bless you young man, your mom has no respect. What?? I was there first! So him and I get into it, and we exchanged ugly words! I will never go to this facility again. I feel the technician took their sides, due to racial reasons! And by the way, we were done at 7:15 am. I've been visiting this location monthly and I'm really surprised by the negative reviews. My experience has always been positive. The first time I came I didn't realize that an appointment was necessary. They saw me anyway and requested that all future appointments should be made in advance. And a big thumbs up to the phlebotomist, Angela. I told her that I was sensitive to having blood withdrawn and she really took her time searching for the best vein she could find. This location was topnotched and I have not had any issues with the facility or the individuals employed there. read more

What a sorry collection of obnoxious ... newcomers to the USA. Place has no parking, so lots of luck finding a space within 1/2 mile in the neighborhood. You walk in no one at a desk to greet or help you. You check in by machine--if you can follow the prompts. Take a seat if you can find one. Eventually someone may call out your name, and they will be rude and condescending. They demand you leave your valuables in a box with a key sticking out the side located in a well travelled hallway--well travelled except by the staff. If you have a choice go elsewhere. read more

I was told I didn't check in when I clearly did. I even heard her say there was an appointment and the rest walkins. The technicians where rude and not sympathetic to anyone's needs. Quest Support is already aware of their poor customer service. Quest consistently over books patient clients because the health insurance companies do not give health customers the financial option, that is, more in-network lab test companies to chose from. Quest Labs have a poor rating in every NYC borough as a result. During my visit the Quest facility was poorly run-and I left disgusted having to correct the poor behavior of their employees on the spot and feeling disgusted as well with other clients - namely the white man I spoke of because he took advantage of his status to be seen ahead of his turn as the Quest employees allowed him to do so AND the employees saw I was with a child. Shame shame. A low tech solution such as a sign in clipboard would have kept track of which clients came in, in an orderly fashion. How about that Quest Support? read more

Is this location popular with the local junkies or was I just blessed with that lovely experience? The women at the front desk choose to ignore the patients, granted technology allows you to check in through the lobby comp. but if they actually interact with you...they're rude and condescending. I frequent this location because it is within walking distance of my doctor's office and it is the lab covered by insurance. In the past, I have not been overly impressed, but today was different. When I entered, I noticed that there were 15 minutes left before the employee's lunch break. I was concerned that I would be turned away, or, worse, feel rushed, which is something you don't want to have happen when blood is being drawn. I signed in and in less than 5 minutes, I was sitting across the reception desk from the phlebotomist, Marisol. She was courteous, pleasant, and professional. Once she completed the paper work, and printed the labels for the vials, we went into the room to have my blood drawn. If you are nervous about this procedure, she will ease your fears. As we chatted, she drew my blood, and before I knew it, it was over. I never felt rushed, and even though her lunch hour had begun, she walked me to the door, shook my hand, and bid me a great day.
