From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel comfortable and at ease. Nyaisha Ruiz, the medical assistant, was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain everything to me in detail, including what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. Her calm and reassuring demeanor really helped ease my nerves. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel like I was in very good hands. Dr. Bernstein was equally wonderful. The procedure itself was so smooth and quick that I almost forgot I was even getting a biopsy. The only thing I really felt was the small pinch from the lidocaine, and after that it was completely painless. The whole thing lasted about five minutes, and I was honestly surprised at how easy it was. The level of professionalism, care, and compassion from both Nyaisha and Dr. Bernstein made what could have been a very stressful experience feel completely manageable. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable every step of the way. She is involved with making sure that everything is done properly there and that the patients receive priority attention and care. I recommend this place for sure and I think it should be listed as a number one example of how an MRI office should run. They have water available . I arrived promptly at 10:00 am to be told that my insurance approval was still pending and the procedure cannot be performed. They said they called me and they did....At 9:27 that morning after I'd already left. Frankly, to be called earlier that morning or even days beforehand is unacceptable. I scheduled weeks in advance to make sure there was ample time to resolve any problems that might arise, or at least notify me far enough in advance so that rescheduling would be an option. I had a similar problem a few months ago at this facility, when I scheduled ultrasounds for two body areas. They accepted the appointment weeks in advance for both body areas without a peep. I got there, waited over an hour, then was told they could only perform one of the procedures. I waited nearly 40 minutes more, fuming, until I finally opted to leave before having anything performed. I figured, if I was going to have to schedule another appointment somewhere else anyway, I might as well have both areas done somewhere else. I just couldn't let them get away with what I felt amounted to a bait and switch. I will advise my referring doctor to choose another lab for any future such procedures. I did have an MRI done here on an injured shoulder a few years ago without too much agitation. I had to wait nearly an hour, but that seems to be the norm these days of what seems to be the era of rampant overbooking. There is no point scheduling anything after medical appointments anymore because with all the waiting, a 20 minute visit can easily take 2-3 hours out of your day. However, I would at least like the satisfaction of walking out having completed the procedure I came in for.

My fiance had a 12 pm appointment on Sunday...We were told they stayed open from 10-3 on Sundays for MRIs. So here we go, drive over and get there at 12 on the dot. What do we see? DDI Imaging is closed...like with the gate down and the lock on the gate. CLOSED. So we call the messaging system to double check, maybe we were wrong? Maybe we came on the wrong day? We checked our voicemails and missed calls. Did they call and cancel? Nope. This place legit closed up shop even though they are supposed to be open until 3. I call the place the following day to see what happened and was told that the receptionist closed after the morning appointments were done. Yes, you read that right. The receptionist...closed...the...place. Because who cares about the afternoon appointments, right? I speak to the supervisor who explains what happened to me again, as if this is normal. Doctors offices and Laboratories always close after they are done with half of their workload, right? THIS IS WHY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THE BRONX AND BRONX GETS A BAD RAP. This would NEVER happen in Manhattan. Is there no such thing as common courtesy and following directions and protocol? We rescheduled our appointment and hope this time when we go, the place is actually open...that is if the receptionist doesn't decide to leave early for happy hour.

I explained that this is a $90 item that once removed cannot be reused. I asked the receptionist to look up the model CGM I used (Abbott Libre Freestyle 3 Plus) to determine if it was safe to wear during an MRI. She saw that it was safe to wear. Unfortunately, the idiot, ignorant, uneducated mutt of a technician still wouldn't do the MRI unless I removed the CGM. The receptionist showed him the information that appeared on the Abbott website, yet he refused to do the MRI when the article CLEARLY STATED THAT THE LIBRE 3 PLUS IS SAFE FOR AN MRI. So, if you are a diabetic wearing this type of CGM find another location. Additionally, if you are willing to have an MRI, or any other imaging done by some lowlife stupid, uneducated, ignorant fool technician, this is the place to go. Otherwise, find another imaging facility that employs knowledgeable staff.
