The cashier girl was extremely rude not helpful at all and had a real bad RBF not ever coming back!

For what it is, it's a solid wine shop. This isn't your top of the line wine store and they're not trying to be. They have a decent amount of wines to choose from and they range in price from $5 to over $30 which I love. The man at checkout was nice. I came here because my friends and I desperately wanted a drink on a Sunday night but my regular wine store was closed. This was one of the only ones open! Thank you!!! Please stay open later than the other wine shops on Sunday!! Parking was easy enough. There was street parking right outside. I don't know what it would be like on a week night, but on a Sunday night I easily found a spot. read more

Neighborhood go to spot for wine , beer plus lite groceries ( deli meats, cheeses , etc)! The staff is really cool! Henry , the owner is really nice so is Pablo , one of the counter staff! They get to know people's names and even greet you when you come in! This place is somewhat "pricey" on various wines I will say that! I usually stick to getting my beers here! This place is a scam, and has now charged me significantly higher prices (double) than they quoted 2 out of 4 times I've been there, the second time even after directly asking him to confirm the price before checkout. This combined with another reviewer who has had the same experience has made it so that I am now sure that it's not ignorance, and that the owner is intentionally scamming people by double charging them. Horrible! I'm assuming they've changed ownership or management because the experience is a lot worse than it was when I lived in the area pre-pandemic. 1. The black guy at the register was rude and when asked where a certain wine was, he basically told us to look around for it and pointed to the wrong aisle...2. There was a white/racially ambiguous man that walked behind the register where the camera screens were that literally watched us women the whole time we were in the store... INSTEAD OF HELPING US WHEN WE WERE CLEARLY LOOKING FOR SOMETHING SPECIFIC. That experience definitely deserves 0 stars, especially when I know the former employees were way better & personable. I also doubt they'd treat white women that way, but they were so horrible, I could be wrong. read more

This place is 100% scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Went last night near closing time. Nearly ALL of the bottles of wine do NOT have price stickers on then, and some have small, illegible price stickers beneath them, but really??? You have to ask the price of the bottle if you want a price, and what the cashier gives you is any price he wants to. The cheapest wine you can find anywhere coasts twice as much at this place. They have a decent selection but they are after getting your money and like most stores that are under a condo or apt complex, they play on the fact that they may be the only store still open and super convenient if you live upstairs or nearby. I have tested them on the price of a few different bottles and the price was always different each time. I think that hey looked at me and figured I knew nothing about wine or wine prices, but as a restaurant server of many years and a huge foodie and wine lover, they underestimated me. There are underlying issues at play here that I won't get into. You know what I mean? I could definitely feel it. I just won't go back, and I recommend staying clear. There are not a lot of great choices in downtown Silver Spring, so be aware of that as well. read more

I stopped here to pick up a bottle of wine. I selected a cheaper bottle marked at $9. When I went to the register to purchase it, the man at the counter rung up my bottle of wine and swiped my card without confirming the price, charging over $18 dollars for it. When I asked him to fix the charge, he said it was mislabeled and there was nothing he could do for me. Don't trust the prices here, and definitely have the cashiers read back the full purchase before handing anyone your card. read more

Lenox Beer & Wine is a delightful little store with a surprisingly good selection of beverages that are part of its title. Prices are similar to other stores and late as well as weekend hours plus convenient location directly across from the Silver Spring metro get Lenox B&W a big plus in my book. Curiously, this place also sells odds & ends such as milk and limes (for those Coronas, of course!). Perhaps one of the best aspects of Lenox is that a nice variety of beer (even in cases), white wine, and sparkling is available pre-chilled. Although parking initially seemed like a challenge, the store clerk claims that parking in the building's garage is a possibility and they will supply a voucher (I have yet to test this). Helpful staff will also assist you out to the car with purchases. Lenox...what's not to love? read more

Since I live very close to the store, I am happy with the options. Some of the bottles of wine and beer can be pricey, but others are cheap. The staff are friendly too! They have some cheese for wine pairings and ice cream if you are in a pinch. read more

Overall: Decent selection and good service. 1. What it offers: a good selection of imported and domestic wine and beer at low to medium price points. No liquor whatsoever, so don't waste your time if you need that. They also have a moderate selection of basic groceries. 2. Service quality: the cashiers are always polite service is quick and efficient. Their open hours are also great, especially on holidays. I've only been here about a dozen times. Took off one star for the lack of liqour and higher price point beer, but it isn't as if they advertise themselves that way. read more

This place is on my way home from work, so it is frequently my first Friday afternoon stop. Given the prices are a little on the high side compared to some other places in the area, but I pay for the convenience of being able to walk. Also unlike other places, the employees are super friendly and social. They will special order for you, and they're always super nice to my pup when I bring her in for a quick trip to pick up a bottle of wine. This alone makes it my favorite beer and wine store in Silver Spring. read more

This store does not honor there bottle price. On the bottle the price said 9.59 when he done ringing us up he said the price was 18 so we said to him your not going to honor what's on the bottle? He says no I'm not going to honor that price and we said why not it's on the bottle he said some new guy came and did that pricing and he's not honoring it. I have never been to a place where they did not honor what was on the item. I will never give this Place my business again and I am a regular at this place. read more

It's on my way home (near Silver Spring metro) which is probably the best thing about this place. The nearby (although not as close to metro) Veridian market is a better option. Lenox always has lots of boxes piled up with cramped aisles. It's kind of dim and depressing in here. I fear the day I knock over a beer display with my purse. Ok prices, nothing to write home about. They also sell milk and cheese. It is what it is. Dont come here looking for nice wine...they just have the basics. read more

This place is simply amazing. Their beer selection is good, their wine selection is equally good. Most importantly they have among the most courteous staff of any beer store I have ever been into. They also offer delivery options which makes it convenient if you are too lazy to walk or drive over there. All in all, this is my hands down favorite place to buy beer in the DC area. read more
