To my surprise, I found a treasure trove of craft beers in a small mom-and-pop shop here. There's a huge rotating selection of breweries, including limited-edition brews. I stopped by a time before and they had a ton of IPAs and now they've got a bunch of sours and gose's in stock. As long as you don't mind not finding the same thing twice for craft brews, you're in for a treat. They've got your generic staples of domestic & imports, good selection of bubbly and wines. Prices are very reasonable. The nice man at the register is always courteous. This is a one stop shop for me!! read more

They recently moved from their old location in the Spring St shopping center. This seems to be a good addition to this small shopping plaza; enough parking, but the spots are tight. Nice selection of beer and wine, though I feel like their prices may have crept up slightly. read more

Excellent selection of craft beer and good wine selection as well. Shop is local, convenient and crowded with selection. Stopped in for beer and left with 3 six packs of local craft beer I had not yet tried and a Belgian as well. Throw in a pretty good bottle of wine and I was set. There was also a wine tasting/sampling when I was there. I will be back. read more

Stopped by this past Thanksgiving in a pinch. Wasn't expecting much from its unassuming exterior but I was pleasantly surprised at what they had. I had planned to just go in and get something routine such as Bud Light or Coors but left with a bit more instead. Lo and behold, they had a bunch of different varieties of Ommegang which is one of my favorite craft beers. I am not usually in this area of town but from where I hail, it's tough to find Ommegang and some of the other brands/varieties that they carried. Uncommon selection indeed! It's not a big place but they seem to fit in quite a bit of stuff in a straightforward organized fashion. Beer on the left, wine on the right. Place is fresh appearing and bright. It's too bad that beer stores mostly seem to generally carry the same routine stock. This place is definitely different with much more variety. I just wish they had some place like this closer to where I live. Next time I am back in the area, I will be sure to stop by and restock before heading home (it's just off the beltway). read more

It is somewhat hidden in a small shopping strip on Georgia Avenue so parking can be tricky pending on when you go. Owners were pleasant and very nice. Found bunch of wine that I wanted and was very satisfied. read more

This place is your typical corner store with average selection at best. One of the clerks decided to act like he was stocking the beer to make sure I wasn't stealing anything. I get it. I have a mask on and there's a decent amount of shady characters hanging around the store so I wasn't offended. To break the ice with him I asked them if they carry Barleywine. He told me that he never heard of that before. That statement really explains why this review was needed because this is not a place you need to seek out for any thing craft beer related. The manager was friendly as I checked out so it's all good. I drove 20 minutes from where I was staying based on the positive reviews so that's not their fault of the store but don't make the same mistake that I did seeking out this place for seductive selections.

I got a small bottle of a beautiful, snowy sake in a frosted blue bottle, an Italian spritzer-type thing, a boxed Merlot -- never tried such a thing before! -- and a sour cherry lambic-like drink, plus smoked Gruyere for later pizza-making, lavender-herb easily spreadable goats' milk cheese, and a selection of olives, feta, pickled red and green peppers and lemon in one handy-dandy small and portable, easy-to-use box! I really lived it up with these items out on the porch at home later .... I greatly enjoyed my meal of Beet and Grilled Apricot salad with creamy cilantro dressing (substitute for vinaigrette), and candied pecans -- all so very mmm! I love beets and must get almost any beet salad that may potentially come my way -- and here, I had two to choose from! The one I got was a special so not always available. The peaches in it were hard enough that they didn't mush-n-gush all over. They were easy to pick up with a fork and bite without them splashing or sliding all oozy-goozy- all over the place, and they had the nice dark marks of grilling right on them, visibly, for proof of having been grilled! That was fun to see. My dining partner had the fish tacos and apparently, those were very good. The table service was really nice, friendly, professional, skilled, and knowledgeable. I wouldn't say the food was exactly prepared swiftly but I also wasn't paying attention so I'm not sure -- because I was too busy browsing and purchasing items in the adjoining store to notice when the food even arrived. I wasn't there, but buying my deliciousness-to-go! What a wonderful time-saver! It was not too loud when I was there, the sunlight was streaming in the rather large windows, and I had a great time looking at the nice lighting fixtures, perusing goods, speaking with staff, and of course eating my most delicious salad! All-around highly recommended on all fronts -- or at least all the ones I tried -- comprising both the dining and shopping experiences ....

The Skillet Cornbread is the best I've had, slightly sweet with a good corn flavor that made me decide to buy a WHOLE skillet rather than just the generously portioned slice next time, especially since it's such a good value.
