As a Southerner experiencing Connecticut, one of my must-haves was a good bagel, and Lenny's did not disappoint! The bagels were the perfect "chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside" bite that I've always heard about. I went with the sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel and it was easily the best bagel I've had. This spot moves fast with quick service and people coming and going, making it the perfect for a to go order or a quick breakfast/lunch. I would highly recommended you watch a great bagel experience! read more

Lenny's Bagels - Sausage, egg, and cheese, everything bagel - Bagels Near Me - Greenwich, Connecticut

Very good bagels. Not quite Bageleddi's on LBI, but worth going nonetheless. The service was much better than the reviews led me to believe. The breakfast sandwich was worth coming back for. Typical counter service interior. read more

Cute interior, lots of options, short turn around time on tables usually. I really wanted to support this place but that was until I saw on the iPad at the register I was getting up-charged for my orders by an employee, whether that was on purpose or not. The same employee got my order wrong even though I repeated it to him twice. I think they've improved with the wait time for your order but the price for a bec on an everything bagel w/ hashbrowns and a small iced coffee was $17. They only have plastic bottle Arizonas that are $3.50. Food is good, iced coffee is mid. I think I'm just gonna stick to my neighborhood delis, sorry to say! read more

I've never had a good experience here and the food is never ready when they say it will be ready

Waited almost 30 minutes for an app order, really disappointment in the experience overall and would not go back. Unfortunately this has happened multiple times. read more

I keep trying but It's a big mess Tons of options and a great menu Way overpriced Rude behind the counter No smiles aka orders wrong 85% of the time. Look at this insulting picture. How is anyone supposed to eat this? I just ordered a bagel. There was cream cheese on it for five other bagels. One bite and all the cream cheese oozed out all over the place. Two tables inside with a long line super inconvenient I did not have a good morning Mr. Lenny Highly not recommended Upper crust bagels still rules Greenwich read more

Lenny's Bagels - A bagel, completely ruined with way too much cream cheese, making it completely unenjoyable. - Bagels Near Me - Greenwich, Connecticut

While the bagels are good, when they have them in the variety you want, if you come in mid week day they are often out. (Hint - if you made more, you'd get more sales and could bag the rest and sell next day at a discount and still make money.) They are way, way, way overpriced. An additional $2.50 for a single slice of meat on top of the price for an egg sandwich. Also literally charged me $1.00 for a single slice of onion on what was already a $10 sandwich. I almost told them to keep it at that point. The staff is often on the rude side. They have no concept on how to take orders on a Sunday morning. Line out to the door and most people ordering breakfast sandwiches while others waited twenty minutes or more behind them. I just wanted a single bagel. Since they can only cook so many orders at one time why not dedicate a single person to just filling bagel orders, no cooked stuff or sandwiches. Just bagels; singles, dozens, containers of cream cheese bagged, etc. It would move the line way faster and you'd have better satisfied customers. Instead, the same person that takes the order walks away from the register to make the food without washing hands first. Besides being gross, people who ordered after you often get their food first. One or two people should take orders and handle the register while the other staff cooks and maybe even dedicate one person to making coffee and another to just taking bagel orders. As it is, there were six people behind the counter and the line was over 20 minutes long. Very disorganized. I ordered a toasted buttered bagel while the lady behind me ordered two sandwiches and her order was ready and paid for first. Also, is there actually any lox in the lox spread? Couple tiny pieces in plain cream cheese. Try chopping it up really small and blending it into the cream cheese. Lox spread should have a slight lox color tint. Not be plain cream cheese with some specs of lox (if you squint) in it. All you really taste is the plain cream cheese with the occasional "Hey, did I just get a bit of lox?" Only reason to come here is if it's close and you really, really want a fresh bagel. If I knew of any others in the area I'd go there. 2 stars only because the bagels are fresh and a good size. read more

Tasteless bagel flat. And tasteless veggie cream cheese I have stopped in other llennys. Not so good either read more

Hey, it's good bagels. They also store and freeze well. Their smoked salmon and cream cheese is good.

LOVE Lenny's so much!! Such a staple in Cos Cob. Great fresh bagels, my go- to is a blueberry bagel or if you get there early in the morning u can get a rainbow bagel before they run out. Price is on the higher end- but to be expected for Greenwich. Their wraps and sandwiches are also great. Sometimes takes them awhile to make orders, and tends to be crowded on weekends. Only a few tables inside, but you can grab a bagel and walk across the street to sit by the stream! read more

Reliable, and consistently fresh food. I always get the garlic bagel w lox and cream cheese (hold the tomato) and they never disappoint! We love our Lenny's! read more

after not setting foot in the store for at least a year because the service was horrible. I can absolute has changed and if you're going to overpay for a bagel, that's fine... but when you have more people working behind you have online, and no one is helping any of the patrons.... Well, it's just a when they'll be available space read more

The fact that there are more 1 star reviews than there are 5 stars should tell you everything you need to know about this place. Rude customers service from the girl behind the counter and the guy making the bagels. Asked for butter and cream cheese on a bagel.. didn't get butter. asked for cream in my coffee.. didn't cream. got 2 cream cheese bagels and one water for $16.50... OVERPRICED. Next time I'm going to Rinaldi's Country Deli. Lennys is the biggest disappointment in CT. and by the way, this was at 9AM and my mom and i were the only ones in the establishment. 1 star is being too generous. read more

When you walk into Lenny's Bagels the atmosphere is very comforting, the employees are very attentive & treat you like family! When you walk in there is so many options to choose from plain bagels to rainbow bagels! I got the Reuben sandwich is just perfect! The meat is very tender & has a right amount of spices, the tangy sauerkraut & cheesy Swiss cheese This was my first time going there but it won't be my last! read more

Consistently delicious bagels, eggs and sandwiches. Quick service, reasonable prices. Best "NY style" bagels in Greenwich and worth the drive from anywhere in Stamford. read more

The service is terrible! I just stood in line for 5 minutes waiting to be served to buy a single bagel, one person at the register chatting which meant that the person in front of me could not be rung up because they only have 1 register! Just 1! A bunch of workers (5-6) standing around or filling bagel trays, etc but not a single person besides the 1 woman at the register actually helping the customers. Go to Upper Crust in OG. Bagels are much better! read more

Bagels were tasteless, poor service and place was dirty. Used to be better back in the day

Unpleasant when called. Way to lose a brand new customer who is new to the area. What a shame. Shocked Needless to say no order made oh well. Hv a gd day read more

Bagels are only ok (not the best in town). Egg sandwiches aren't as good as nearby Rinaldis and overpriced too. Customer service is not the best as I have seen on more than one occasion that seven people will be hiding in the side kitchen while people are waiting just for bagels (ie workers always think that someone else is helping the customer). Not very focused on serving customers is the biggest problem I have - I have walked in (no other customers) when two or more people are standing by the cash register and they all scurry to the back kitchen without one person looking at me or asking to help. It's like they are scared of their customers so they all hide in the back kitchen read more

Lenny's bagels is a very solid bagel spot. Reasonably priced, locally supported, unique flavors. A highly rated bagels spot in the area. Would I saw best bagel? It's a step below NY bagels or Essa Bagels in NYC. Hard to compete with NYC food in general, but they're very good for the area. Would still recommend this location if near by! read more

Lenny's Bagels - Bagels Near Me - Greenwich, Connecticut

Good morning everyone, renowned food critic Haywood Jablowme here. I'm back on yelp to sing my most profound praise for perhaps the finest culinary establishment in the United States. The first time I happened upon Lenny's Bagels, or, as my band of ragtag companions and I now fondly refer to it, Lenny's Whorehouse, I was immediately struck by its unique odor. There's really just something in the air over at Lenny's. The smell evokes the image of a deceased and decaying fish being defecated upon by a large dog with IBS (and worms), and yet, there's something alluring in its nature- the decision to walk into Lenny's is most comparable to the internal conundrum that crops up when passing a wreck on the freeway. You're interested, enthralled, even, but do you look? Do you enter? Anyways, onto the service, and most importantly, the BAGELS. The man or woman behind the counter will do it all. Take your order, craft your sandwich, take your cash or glance down their nose at you with disdain after you refuse the option to tip the person who most likely just nutted in your food for even daring to enter the building. The whole process will take months or more- I once ordered a bagel with cream cheese and received a call notifying me of its preparedness 18 months after the initial request- so bring a sleeping bag and the essentials. Make sure to stock up on amphetamines, because the staff will gun you down mercilessly if you fall asleep while waiting for your order (the sleeping bags are merely for comfort). Leaving before your order is ready will also result in a swift demise; make sure you depart undetected. They have a number of signs bearing inspirational quotes relating to bagels, either through cringe-inducing wordplay or simply an oddly placed fact. Keep in mind that while these quotes are undoubtedly stirring, they inspire suicide and not much else. For example, my personal favorite, "Sorry, I was thinking about BAGELS." This one I happen to find misleading- Lenny's is more likely to be the subject of white-knuckle, cold-sweat nightmares rather than wistful daydreaming. It remains my preferred Lenny's sign only because the other quirky quips that hang upon the establishment's walls create an inescapable rather than manageable compulsion towards self-harm- think Bird Box (2018). Some may find the Lenny's experience off-putting, but I would counter the argument that it is a disreputable business by drawing on the modern proverb, "If you can't take the heat, get out the kitchen". Lenny's is for the bold, and the yellow-bellied will not escape with their lives. If you're a fellow sadomasochist, feel free to add me on snap (andrewcb21) where we can discuss our next trip to Lenny's Bagels!!! read more

Love this place! Great bagels-- tried about 4 different kinds the bad boy, chocolate chip, cranberry vanilla and sesame and no complaints! Oh, and the low carb was great too because you can't tell the difference! I can't wait to try and update when I try other things like their breakfast, muffins and salads! It's also very clean and nice staff! They have tons of coffee/tea options... really have it all! read more

Overpriced beyond belief. My lox bagel was mostly raw onions, the bagel was small and tough, the sandwich was nearly inedible.

Attention Lenny's ownership/management: Please a little love, a little effort. unorganized, unwelcoming, staff miserable. Gave 2 stars only because the bagels by themselves, decent. I'm done. Been multiple times. Given the benefit of the doubt multiple times. You're a bagel place how is it that your cream cheeses are repulsive. Ordered multiple varieites and all sub par. The "Cheddar" Jalapeno cream cheese, really? 1. Not cheddar 2. not spicey at all. Huge cubes of government cheese cubes, straight up gross. Store bought dried nasty crumb cakes, wrapped poorly and old. My iced coffee was heinous, tasted like it was brewed through a dirty 2 day old filter. Still have a stomach ache. The bagel I bought my 16 year old, a joke. She refused to even eat it. A plain bagel with plain cream cheese how do you screw that up? I know how, I tasted it. How about sour cream cheese. Good luck. Revisiit your approach and commitment to quality or you won't last much longer. GL read more

Update: It seems Lenny's has hired additional staff and might have received some training as the line moves much more quickly.

Worst sandwiches, worst customer experience. Go anywhere else (and there are plenty of options nearby-- I recommend Upper Crust bagels in Old Greenwich). Specifically they've messed up orders several times and then refuse to fix it or make it right. The bagels, sandwiches and other menu items are mediocre at best. The people are not friendly. read more

Tried this place out the other day. Ordered half a dozen bagels for the office. Service was good. Iced coffee was good. Bagels felt like NY bagels (the ones I used to get from Brooklyn bagel in astoria). The only thing I didn't like was that the everything bagels did not have enough topping. Also, wish they had various flavors of cream cheese (we loved cream cheese mixed with scallions and bacon and/or Chipotle cream cheese). read more

Went in there recently and remembered why I haven't been there in a long time. The line is always so long and the staff is very rude!! Had to wait on line for 15 minutes while everyone ordered sandwiches and all I wanted was a dozen bagels. I would think they would put someone behind the counter and have a separate line just for bagel orders but it's clear the place/staff is very poorly managed. There are plenty of other bagel shops that deserve the business more!! read more

The deli sandwiches are tasty and portioned. Coffee is always fresh. I normally love this place and it's staff aside from the few incidents with the dark skinned girl that always seems to be argumentative and rude when I'm in the area and go there. Fast, friendly service! Delicious bagels. I got the jalapeño cheddar bagel with plain cream cheese and a medium coffee (medium roast). It was toasted exactly perfectly like I like it, with a generous portion of cream cheese. I grew up eating bagels and Lenny's Bagels did not disappoint. I placed an order at 12:45, went to pick it up a few minutes later and was told "oh, we canceled your order. We close at 1 for the holiday." I understand closing early but I placed my order for just 2 sandwiches with plenty of time remaining before close and they just decided not to fill it. Upon arriving I was just told essentially, oh well! If you're done working at 12:45, then that should be your hours. But don't decide to cut your day short and just cancel people without so much as a phone call to save me the trip. So rude. read more
