I mean, I'm trying to give you my money. I understand covid, but several bank lobbies are open but they won't open an account without an appointment. Very inconvenient, despite the pandemic because it should only take a couple minutes. The only reason I hesitated to deposit here, was because they don't have many locations. We have other accounts here and have always been satisfied. So when I called with my dilemma, they were like, "Come right in." Nelly helped me and opened my account in less than 5 minutes and you receive your debit card on the spot! She was accommodating and cordial and also helped me with another transaction. I told the manager, Barbara my experience and was determined to give them a rave review for taking care of this. You would think the other banks would be vying for business! I had a terrific experience buying a used Toyota RAV4 at Grace Auto Sales this week. When I chose the less expensive model of the two cars I was considering, Soto never tried to convince me to buy the pricier model. He agreed that the one I chose seemed to be the right fit. Soto and all of his colleagues were pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was laid back yet efficient. It's very important to me to support local businesses and a bonus when the business is family-owned. It's refreshing to be in the presence of folks who seem to enjoy their jobs and one another. I will update this review if anything goes wrong with the car. Otherwise, assume I'm a happy customer. NOTE: I suggested to the owner that he consider doing away with the scented candle that was burning in the front office. I made the point that while the candle smelled nice enough, many folks (myself included) are very sensitive to fragrances (as evidenced by the booming market of fragrance-free products). The owner received my feedback good-naturedly enough, but left the candle burning as he walked away. Meanwhile, I had to excuse myself, go out to the car and take an antihistamine, before I could return inside to complete the transaction because multiple chemical sensitivity is a real thing and those of us who have it spend extra time and money to avoid being overwhelmed by the off-gassing of scented products and services. I wonder how many folks complain about not having a scented candle burning when they shop for cars. ;-)

The online tool stated that they would pick up my car, for a $199 fee. On the day of the appointment they reneged on that offer and they could not provide me a good reason. I was told, "It could be a number of factors." I filled the online application and was offered $1700. When my daughter arrived at CARMAX, (having payed $115 for a ten mile tow), CARMAX said they could not take the car because it hadn't been registered in Va. The car had been parked, legally, at my am daughter's home. The DMV was notified and plates, tags were removed. The car had been parked for 2 years. I've seen CARMAX in Spotsylvania County purchase a used 'car, that had not been registered for 18 months. They told my friend not to worry about it- that they'd take care of it. She was purchasing another car from them. I guess that makes CARMAX's decision much easier. No one at the CARMAX in Midlothian could make that decision. I wound up selling the car well below that offer of $1700 - but I had to get it done because my daughter sold the home where it was parked. This leaves a very bad taste in my mouth about CARMAX. My older vehicle had 72k miles on it (and was a 2006). The hood of the car needed painting - no body damage, no accident. A good auto, with title in hand. When I purchase my car, I will not use CARMAX.

It is not supposed to be in PRISTINE condition. If you want Pristine, then buy a NEW vehicle, then watch it depreciate as soon as you drive it off the lot. Used cars dealerships don't make much of a spread as you think. Lets say they buy a vehicle from an auto auction for 1k, put 1k in repairs in & then sell for 3-4k. Do you really get mad? It's a business & businesses need to make some profit. Anyways, bought a used Porsche here and had a very pleasant experience w/ Moh. He was able to show me the car and get it ready for me to test drive quickly. After purchasing it, he even got it detailed for me to take home. Management is super nice & professional as well. Paperwork was a breeze. One minor thing is that there's no parking in the lot, but I'm sure it was just bad timing. When I'm in the market for another used vehicle, I'll take a look @ Lucky Line first.

They kept saying it was sold "minutes before", but if they were just waiting on insurance that is clearly not the case. They didn't bother to call, and every sales person was rude the instant they were aware that they weren't going to sell a car that day. Scummy business practices. The reviews speak for themselves.
