I was told a rep would call back. The rep from NY called back and asked for my income. I aid I did not want to settle debt but wanted a loan based on the pre-approval amount and rate. I said I was skeptical this was BS-bait switch. The next day the guy called back with a script about debt to ration and a low credit score. I called BS as I just re-financed my house and knwo my score and debt to income. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM. READ THE REVIEWS SAME THING EACH TIME. BBB SHOULD GET INVOLVED!

What they are very clever in is not EXPLICITLY outlining that the payment duration can be increased which can cost you several thousands more. For example I was on a 36 month payment of $400. You would think that is a grand total of $14,424 but in trying to pay it off after a year they added another $3000. They had it cleverly that the amount may be different in the terms and conditions and section i. Any money I saved by their negoitation on my behalf is going to them. They reopened my checking account for me that had been charged off which is what I wanted so I could keep the same number. I understand it's a one time thing but I'm satisfied with the resolution. The lady I spoke with was very friendly and professional. I was also able to keep the other checking account they had opened originally too. So now I can drop the fact that they would not help me with a loan even after they said they would but that was right after the merger and they were still in the growing stage around here so maybe they didn't mean to lead me to believe I'd be accepted if I made the account positive and to be fair to the staff member who said that maybe MemberOne would have but maybe there's something in the terms that VACU wouldn't but either way that's been almost 3 months ago so I dropped that completely when they agreed to reopen my account. So now I can recommend them again. They made good with me so I will make good with them. It would have been nice of them to call when it was originally going to happen. Next time if I hit a hard spot again I'll reach out and see if maybe I could pay it and they not charge it off. Thank you Virginia Credit Union.

My account was suddenly locked for fraud several times with little to no clear communication, leaving me unable to access my own money when I needed it most. On top of that, deposit processing times have been unreasonably slow far longer than what most customers would consider acceptable in today's banking world. I understand that security measures are important, but the way this was handled felt excessive and poorly managed. Customers deserve better communication, faster resolution times, and systems that don't create unnecessary stress. At this point, I would strongly reconsider using VACU if you value timely access to your funds and responsive service.
