Pro: came same day I called. Tech was very pleasant. Con: Paid $465 to have drains unclogged. Neither is unclogged. I spent another $26 for Green Gobbler that the tech recommended and that didn't work either. No recommendations for fixing the problem. Very frustrating. read more

I called Len the Plumber for a drainage issue from my washing machine. They cut a pipe that appeared to be clogged, but now the same issue as recurred (about 2 months later). It seems like they jumped to an expensive repair that only partially addressed the problem (if at all). I'll make sure the plumber I call this time does their due diligence and guarantees their work. read more

Update: It's true Lens did reach out to my father to discuss this situation. They left a message apologizing for our experience, saying they would 'discuss' returning our $200 if we called back. We have not returned the call as I'm sure that 'discussion' would lead to me having to remove this review. The message went on to note the reason for our experience was due to an improperly trained employee which is both an admission of guilt that this situation did occur and also doubtful as there were two employees, Ray and Mike who came to shake us down 5/18/26. The review is worth more to the general public than the $200 so we will not be returning the call. At most should they like to mail us a check returning the money I will provide another update with that resolution. Otherwise hope everyone finds this review helpful. I wish anyone looking for reputable HVAC services good luck and to avoid Len's. read more

If I could, I would give Len the Plumber one hundred stars. I have now worked with this company on three occasions, and each time, their tech has been knowledgeable, empathetic, thoughtful, respectful, thorough, and clearly gifted and skilled at their trade. They are honest and up-front about pricing and different options, and I consistently feel that they have my best interest at heart. Their work has all been excellent and successful, with no need for follow-up repair. My highest praise goes to Kyle Swinnerton, who not only provided exceptional and efficient service for my toilet repair, but who was also one of the most delightful and kind technicians who has ever come into my home for any reason. He is a standout for both service and compassion. It's clear to me that Len the Plumber prioritizes hiring employees who are not only extremely skilled, but also truly wonderful people. I'm proud and grateful to be a loyal customer! read more

Misled and Ignored: Avoid Sewer Work from Service Technicians We requested LEN the Plumber for on-site bathroom shower replacement and sewer line snaking estimates. What we didn't know: they have two separate teams--service technicians and sewer specialists--and the difference is never explained to new customers. On November 21, 2025, a service technician showed up. Instead of giving the shower estimate, he insisted he could snake our sewer line and promised to provide a quote afterward. Trusting him, we went ahead--$480 later. Two days later, the sewer specialist arrived. He immediately told us snaking wouldn't work--something the first technician never mentioned. Video evidence confirmed it: the snaking did almost nothing. We were left feeling misled and taken advantage of. I contacted LEN the Plumber. A manager left a voicemail promising to investigate. Nothing. Follow-up calls go unanswered. Yes, the snaking contract warns results aren't guaranteed--but selling a specialized service by someone unqualified crosses the line. If you hire LEN the Plumber, make sure you talk directly to the right team, or risk wasting money and time. read more

Had a leaking toilet and it was determined it need new piping below the toilet in the basement. They were getting ready to cut a pipe when I noticed it was the wrong pipe. They provided a quote for $1,600 to replace the pipes. When they identified the correct pipe they said they couldn't perform the job. So, he needed to rethink the job. So he replaced the flange with another one on top og the old one used a lot of screws and caulk. When I asked about the revised price I was told it was $1,600. $1,600 for a $12 dollar flange. I complaint as was told the price is the price. A total rip off. Filing with the state attorney general to see of this scam can be resolved. read more

Total rip off pricing structure. It's a real shame that smaller HVAC companies are being gobbled up by the Len the Plumber and other chain/franchise operations. I was quoted over $799 for a simple AC capacitor replacement - this a part that costs less than $20 on Amazon and is a simple 15 minute replacement as seen on several YouTube videos.....and this outrageous price was quoted even after my "member discount" by having an annual service plan. Capacitor replacement is known as the biggest rip-off in the HVAC business - it's often the part that fails, causing the AC compressor not to turn on. A monkey with a wrench can replace it. I expected better from a company that I had an annual service plan with. This estimate is simply outrageous. I was roped into the annual plan in order to get a "discount" on what amounted to an emergency water heater replacement. This is really is a deceptive trade practice. Basically, I'd be paying for it either way. The annual plan allows their technicians get into my home in Spring and Fall to diagnose Heater and AC "concerns" and recommend part replacements and upsell "members". Also quoted on the attached estimate is a $77 estimate to treat the condensation pan to avoid any mildew buildup. A tidy-bowl disc for $2 would do the same if even necessary. Unbelievable. I've cancelled my plan - but unfortunately have to pay $16/month for several more months as it's an annual commitment. Lesson learned. Do yourself a favor and find a local HVAC company - not one of these chain franchises. Stay away from Len the Plumber. read more

Mike was great at fixing a badly clogged heat pump. He also suggested how to take care of it on a monthly basis to extend its life (it's already rather old). Kind and professional! read more

Len the plumber should be avoided at all cost, they try to prey on the elderly and attempt to upsell very expensive services. Ive worked in the home improvement business and I know a shady company when I witness one. They got me for 1500 dollars on a job that should have been $400 at most, then they tried to pressure me on spending an additional 15,000..........STAY AWAY read more

I called Len the Plumber accidentally for help with my water well pump. They responded that day and sent Tom Noll who recommended that I replace the tank only but when he came back he said that he had lost sleep worrying about whether I should replace the bladder also. I said to go ahead and replace both. it turned out that both were defective and needed to be replaced. my pump works great now. I appreciated that Tom cared enough to worry about what parts need to be replaced. he has since helped me again and I will request him every time. read more

On November 17, 2025, a technician visited our home to address a clogged drain. We signed an estimate without being informed of important contract stipulations that were presented only in very small print. After completing his attempt, the technician stated that the clog was caused by wipes and product residue, but the drain was never unclogged. When we asked for clarification, we were shown the contract conditions only afterward, including that the service was a non-guaranteed 90-minute attempt. Attempts to reach a manager for clarification were unsuccessful. Due to the technician's unprofessional behavior--including poor communication and sarcastic remarks--we asked him to leave and ultimately had to call the police to prevent the situation from escalating. We are requesting a review of the case and fair consideration, as the issue remains unresolved and the service did not achieve the intended result. read more

Len Feldman came over promptly, early in the window given. He surveyed the problem with my tank-less water heater and fixed it. He then assured me of its good condition and advised me to set up an appropriate maintenance schedule in order to save me money in the future. This is the second time that he has come to my assistance concerning water heaters. I highly recommend him! read more

We were quoted a price and then invoiced for almost double. My house was left filthy. My throw rugs and a towel left soaking wet. They were dry when they got to my house. My bathtub was chipped. I've spoken to 3 people, the last a manager who promised to call me back two weeks ago. They aren't even decent enough to keep a promise, let alone fix the damage they caused. read more

Should be avoided. They came out for one service and started me in this plan that charges $20 per month. To cancel it they charge you another $100. Avoid at all costs. read more

Sunday night I realized the air conditioner stopped operating. On Monday I called Len the Plumber and Mike McCarty came right away. My unit was almost out of freon and the coil was covered with ice. I had them install a whole house water filter. It was about $500 for the filter and installation combined. The plumber installed it in a way that didn't make any sense (flow wise). I pointed it out to him. He assured me it was okay. He returned about 1/2 hour later to correct his error. Almost 2 years later, the filter exploded on Christmas Eve. No water. I had Roto Rooter get my water flowing again in the morning. A molded part had separated in a way that suggested bad manufacturing. I purchased another of the same filter from another company. I called Len to have them install it. The manufacturer told me that it was probably due to high water pressure and that I should contact the installer to ask about any warranty credit. The plumber from Len told me that my water pressure was fine. He charged me $2,000 to remove their old work and replumb it. Remember, I was providing the filter this time. I called several times, over a period of months, and never even got a return to my repeated calls about my warranty question. I'm thinking that my next plumbing problem, I'll call Roto Rooter, who didn't even charge me anything extra for my Christmas morning service call. read more

The work needed doing and I was told it was a 3 hour job. I thought the $1800 quote was high, but agreed. Parts were $250 at most. An hour later he was done. I paid $1550 for an hour's work. Stupid me! I strongly recommend getting other quotes before agreeing to have them do the work. I feel ripped off, but hopefully my experience will help others avoid that. Owner sent me the same standard reply he sends everyone. I know better than to think they'll refund anything after the fact. I chalk it up to an expensive lesson and won't use or recommend them. They advertise no overtime hours because their regular charges are more than twice standard rates all the time. GET OTHER QUOTES BEFORE HIRING THEM! read more

Mike McCarty from Len the Plumber Heating & A/C came out to check out why my A/C wasn't working (in 101° for days!!) After he hacked through my overgrowth and spiders at the basement, took about 20 minutes to figure out, he had the part and replaced it!! He was finished within an hour and told me about my "refurbished system" (grrrr - not new was a revelation to me), and paid him, so polite and easy. I not only recommend this company and Mike, but I'll use them again as necessary. Thank you Simona at the phone also, great customer service!! Laura M Sherwood read more

I called for an estimate for an expansion tank for a hot water heater and was told that I would have to pay $49 for the plumber to come out and that would go toward the work. The plumber came out took pictures then commence to get me to sign a signature page to a document that he told me he could not bring up the rest. Reluctantly I signed it so that I could get the estimate. I paid him the $49 and he left and emailed me an invoice (3 pages with my signature on the last page stating all these things that I understood and agreed to. REALLY. On top of that I did not get an estimate in writing. I was told that just an expansion tank would cost me $660. That is more than a water tank. I was unable to be at home during the day to get our plumbing serviced, but Len the plumber was able to accommodate a service call in the evening after I returned home from work. While my attendant Andrew was on the greener side of job, he was fantastic. He sourced the issue in a relatively short time & despite the gross subject matter, he always had a polite demeanor, a smile on his face, & made sure I had no other concerns before he left. The cost seems comparable to other similar companies (BUT I am no expert on this--esp as big of a project it turned out being). I had seen the commercial a few times but it was my 1st experience using them. The receptionist was empathetic so top to bottom, it was pleasant. My situation was a much larger one than expected & I am very pleased with this company, the 2 men that I've interacted with were good guys. I will NOT hesitate when needing service!!! read more

So I have a small leak in a pipe and needed to get it fixed. Called Len the Plumber, 1st call answer by computer and then hung up on. Called the second time in case of error. Got some guy that could barely speak English, in all honesty I am not sure what language he spoke. Finally after I told him what the problem was and needed a plumber, he came back and said you are on Do not serve list. What the hell does that mean? I don't remember doing business with these guys. I told him to have someone call me. I checked my email and found I did have them come out a couple years ago and check our water heater, and with out checking anything he said we have to replace water heater. I told him I wanted to get a second opinion. I went to the Marine Service co, and they priced out half of Len and didn't come off as trying to upsell anything. I will pass on ever doing business with these guys. Because I wanted a second opinion, they put me on this do not serve list. read more
