I called and spoke with their office on Sunday afternoon, then Tom called me back just half an hour later and was able to arrange an appointment the following day. It turns out our boiler just needed a small reset, but Tom was really generous with his time and expertise and made sure to educate me about how our radiator heating systems works and how to troubleshoot issues in the future. He also alerted me to a major issue with the hot water pipe link to our water heater, which we had to urgently replace last winter. The company we used was not great- they left the old water heater in our basement and seemed a tad shady- so I wasn't at all surprised to hear that other aspects of the job were not done properly. Tom and his team were available to fix the pipe AND remove the old water heater the same day for what I considered a reasonable price. I've had enough poor experiences with maintenance companies and really feel that Flourtown Heating is a trustworthy honest business. I didn't catch the primary gentlemen's name but he did tell me he was the son of the owner. He was so engaging and informative explained possible issues and once it was diagnosed got the heater fixed. They were here a little under 2 hours. He was honest enough to explain that I shouldn't waste anymore $$$ repairing this heater by explaining the life span and what my next steps would be. I'm totally satisfied and would highly recommend.

I know how to restart it but it wasn't working, they pointed out that dust buildup was preventing it and fixed it in no time. They didn't charge me for this quick fix! Second time, my frost free hose broke because I ignorantly did not disconnect it in the winter. They fixed it at a great price and explained why you need to do this in detail, I really appreciate that. I can't recommend these guys enough. There's always this fear that you'll get taken advantage of when you have to call service people, you won't have that fear with Hophan Brothers.
